Justified Before The Law

Do these two statements,
(1)" "NO ONE is 'justified' by the Law before God..." (Galatians 3:11-12 "for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly" (2:21). What are Sabbath and dietary law keepers doing?

They're going the extra mile to honor God.

Don't diss them for that.

(Besides, it's healthy to take a day of rest and eat kosher.)

I'll say it again!
Sabbath keepers are honoring the Creator who alone is worthy of worship.
We do so because we are in a love relationship with Him.
We do so because He asks us to and we trust Him completely.
We aren't trying to earn our way into heaven, We have already been given assurance of salvation thru Jesus Christ.

Andrea: They are not fallen from Grace that Keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Rev14:12

Jas2:24 "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only"

Works reflect the Commandments of God that we keep. We honor His Commandments and do not willfully break them as those who are fallen from Grace refusing His Commandments while seeking the atonement with hypocrisy.

Mat7:23 "Depart from Me, ye that work iniquity"

trying to obtain salvaytion through the law does not honor Christ.

Gal 5:6 --says they are seperated from Christ and fallen from grace

"What are Sabbath and dietary law keepers doing?"

Honoring the Father by honoring their belief system, just as we all do.
---josef on 11/13/07

Sabbath and Law keepers are doing their own thing to get to God. God does not accept this, He only accepts the sacrifice of His own Son Jesus Christ on the Cross for sin. Only in Christ can anybody go to God and be born-again.

Lee, if I as a Sabbath keeper am ignoring the fact that we are not justified by works, then why would I include in my statement that we are justified by Grace?
You take one portion of my statement and ignore the rest.
You are fully aware that we believe in justification by faith and that our obedience to His law comes from our love relationship with Him, not out of trying to earn salvation. Your relentless and hateful lies just show your true spirit.

Sabbath keepers who believe they can add to the work of Christ on the cross have FALLEN FROM GRACE

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace.

*What are Sabbath & dietary law keepers doing?*

Following the footsteps of Hagar who bore children of slavery.

Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law? For it is written Abraham had 2 sons, 1 by slave woman, 1 by a free woman. the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, ... the son of the free woman was born thru promise...these women are 2 covenants. 1 from Mt Sinai, bearing children for slavery, she is Hagar, the other from Jerusalem above.

*Sabbath keepers are obeying God's law.*

And ignoring the fact that one is not justified by observing the Mosaic laws as well as the fact that those in Christ abide in His Spirit and walk by faith alone (Romans 1:17).
---Lee on 11/12/07

Sabbath keepers are obeying God's law. Which we do because we have a love relationship with Him for He justified us by grace through our faith in His son Jesus Christ.
---robin8683 on 11/12/07

As for dietary laws, we follow them for the health benefits because "do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. 1 Cor 6:19
and, "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor 10:31
---robin8683 on 11/12/07

Those who keep the law of the Sabbath and dietary laws are NOT justified by them. It is when we accept Jesus' sacrifice for us (to take our sins upon Himself) that we are justified. However, that is not the same as saying that once justified we do not have to keep any laws. God's laws are for our own good and the good of others. He is a God of order not chaos. Without laws (God's and those of our government) there would be chaos and anarchy.
