YES. Even on our food. That's why we BLESS our food before eating it.

My daughter so we thought had mental illness and tried getting into the occult and had things she brought home like necklaces and books etc. She stated they helped her "heal" and feel good. She didn't realize the demonic meaning behind them. Once we got her out of the therapist offices and off medication and threw away all her items, her life turned completely around. These items can be demonic. Its not good to let your kids stay alone at all for periods of time. This is real!

When I was a little girl there was a religious RCC picture of the so-called "sacred heart of Jesus" hanging on the wall above my bed. One day while looking at it the eyes moved. It frightened the living day lights out of me. After that, all the religious pictures in the house were disposed of. One night before this happened I could hear voices in my room. I screamed for my Dad and the instant he walked into my room the noise stopped and I never heard it again. Religious pictures, statues and crucifixes are definitely demonic.
---helen4633 on 11/2/14

Clang: It is very possible that the crucifix has an evil attachment.
A couple moved into a new apartment. The last user of that quarter was a Muslim. They started quarrelling in unusual manners after moving into the 2 bedroom flat.
Later they discovered that the Muslim forgot an amulet under the bed they sleep on.
Their quarrelling stopped the day they took out the amulet from the flat.
---Adetunji on 8/2/14

Is it possible for a crucifix used by a priest during an exorcism to possibly be possessed? My boyfriend received this from his mother, a devout Christian, who received it from an exorcising priest. It is large and metal, and has some scary scratches on it. He hung it up in his bedroom, and I can honestly attest that since he did that, he has NOT BEEN RIGHT. He started cheating on me( which he would have NEVER done before) and when we were having an innocent conversation one evening in my home, he turned to me and looked right through me with empty eyes and a frightening smile went across his face for a brief moment. I became extremely frightened, and then he just acted like nothing happened and proceeded to continue answering a question.

Re: can evil symbles attract evil spirits. The anser is a resounding YES!!!!!. Just as the Holy Bible attracts goodness and purity, honesty, etc, an evil desighn is delibertly desighened as an evil symble, to attract and extoll a certain evil spirit. Plead the Blood of Jesus on them, and get them out of your house, away from you. Don't wear t- shirts with evil designs on them .Be very careful of what you wear and the pictures you put up in your home. Blessings of Jesus on you and to you. Mary
---mary_lillis on 6/14/14

I don't know, I know that if you get involved with demonic activity towards communication with evil spirits this can indeed bring evil within your home, however, I would not bring anything in which I thought looked suspect into my home because of what people may do in case something evil would be attached to it.

I remember the number of the beast been researched and anyone living with the number on their door had strange things happening also a car with the number plate people were freaked out with the number of evil happenings when it became their possession.

This is one of the reasons we all need the Holy Spirit's gift of " discernment of the spirit ".

I didn't expect keyboards were controlled by satan. I never allow demonic "anything" in my house. Ive been in book stores that carry junk like that and I would never consider buying that junk.
---shira4368 on 12/11/13

There is a reason why we should not have objects that are satanic in our homes, whether books objects. Do they have power? Only on those who believe they have power. The reason we are told not to have them is because we should not be of the world, because we are not of the world.
The world is not sending our young people to hell, the world is going to hell already, it does not sent anyone to hell, for every descendant of Adam is already condemned and going to hell.
In order for them to be forgiven from their judgment, they need God's mercy. And they need Christ to be forgiven for their sins.

adetunij, I try hard to expose cults. actually I was talking about how the world is trying to send our young folks to hell. I was naming some things I know personally. all the paranormal harry potter. my daughter said I didn't know anything. steven king writes evil books and almost all movies out of Hollywood are paranormal. also, we need to keep books or magazines on the occult, witchcraft, majic and many others. I don't allow such things in my house.

times past I would never have believe demons are in objects. in 1980 I bought my 2 grandchildren a keyboard. when one of my granddaughters opened hers and it started playing before she could turn it on that was the beginning of some strange things. at one point we took the batteries out and it continued to play a song I never heard before. this went on for several months and one night I spent the night with my granddaughter. I witnessed some strange things and the next morning, I took a hammer and crushed them and put them in a dumpster. problem solved. I can say it was scarey.
---shira4368 on 12/5/13

Evangelist Job ALABI (a father in the faith) told us during a revival service that, as the Ark of Covenant represents the presence of God & His Holy Spirit amongst the Jews: so do many objects in different cultures represent the Devil & his demons. In Africa, charms in forms of objects have specific evil spirits attached to them & until detached , they go with those objects anywhere.

There is no relationship with that. Actually the bible tells this world belongs to Satan. Demons found everywhere.

Some people used objects in rituals to reveal demons. Some objects too used to turn away evils. Objects has no power over demons.

Our spiritual battle is against powers. When we fight it, we must be spiritual too...The word of God is powerful tool.
---rosalie on 2/23/10

Yes Ivan, get rid of it and any other objects and tell the demons to go too, in the name of Jesus. In many parts of the world demonic words are spoken over objects they manufacture so as to demonize unsuspecting people. We once had a talking doll keep talking for days even after the batteries were removed. You have authority over all evil powers(Luke 10:19), use it. It's your inheritance as a child of God.
---Fay on 2/23/10

I had a Quezalcaotl statue in my room, and I was bothered by demons. Demons try to scare you and get in your face, I just tell them I'm not afraid because God is with me. But another thing they do is make you have nightmares and not be able to wake up, instead just go into another nightmare. They've been bothering me a while and I've tried to cast them out in Jesus name. I just realized that little statue thing was in my room, it had like fallen from the wall and was under like a desk. I was asking God for help and I looked down and saw it facing me, feathered serpent. Do you think that thing was bringing me problems? And after you are affected can it follow you to other houses?
---Ivan on 2/20/10

I don't know about the children. But I will say this much>>>WATCH OUT! Because every unbeliever, Satan has domInion over... The best way in protecting yourselves, born-again believers, would BE in walking close to GOD.>>As far as your question goes...Gift-giving is okay. Certain tv shows like necked people is out. Commercials too. Strange objects just be careful. Leave at your discretion, but be cautious

Yes, these objects can bring in demonic spirits, the bible says in Duet 7:25-28. Do not bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest and abhor it, for it is a accursed thing. God says Do not touch what is unclean and do not just lay your hands on anyone lightly, which tells you there can be a transferance of spirits, so just because you are covered in the blood, God warns us not to touch it, if we do, we are being disobedient to his word, and then satan has every legal right to attack us, because we have opened that door to him by sinning.
---JANINE on 2/11/09

Whisper, absolutely. People can bring them in. Satan has domineon over unbelievers. [ALL] so what do you think? There are scriptures that will back what I just said. There is either God or Satan. Even believers ofcourse can have lots of problems with demons but because of Jesus we are able to keep them at bay. That's it. Good day.
---catherine on 11/15/07

Right you are Catherine, not really ghosts, they are demonic spirits, and right Matthew from LA. They take on the person that lived in the house before, But Catherine do you think that ''people'' bring them in, because it seems that it happens just like you say, on the night I bring people in, this does happen, I wonder if there is a scripture regarding it?

Chad, you asked how long should a Christian witness to an atheist. Whenever you witness you want to know it God's will to do so. There are bad times to witness. Trust in God's timing. Witnessing to a person is empty if God is not planning on drawing that person to Him anytime soon. Conversion happens only when God enables. Therefore you want to only witness when the Holy Spirit moves you to. Never witness without the push of the Holy Spirit.

John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

In regards to the question I have heard of demons that stay around particular homes(ghost hauintings). I have heard many stories of objects that brought about an evil Spirit and when that object was discarded the appearances stopped. I believe though, demons do it for a reason.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/15/07

Demons haunt a home so as to bring about the "ghost deception". They appear as people who once lived in the home. They don't leave the home so they can keep the deception going. The same would go for objects. The reason they hang around objects is for a similar reason they hang around homes, it is for deception. WHat that deception is I don't really know though. But to say demons are bound to an object doesn't sound right, it makes more sense they appear to be bound as a means to deceive.
---Matthew_from_LA on 11/15/07

Keep in mind pyschics have there reasons to why ghosts stay in homes for hundreds of years and why ghosts and spirits hang around objects. None of them are correct.

Chad, I think fasting with prayer is the only solution for this situation, do not say one word to them just hand the person over to God. Holly, that is just incredible, you know much firsthand, I found it interesting that peoples hair and even nails are used, I never knew you were involved in that stuff! Part Two:

As others here have asked, what Scriptural evidence is there for demonic inhabitation of objects? And I keep thinking, if God had a plan for everything and is all powerful and all knowing then if demons exist, didn't he create them, and if he did, for what purpose? I believe that believing in demons is the same as worshiping false mini-gods that really don't exist.
---matthew on 11/14/07

1) And may I add that in the past, before I was a Christian, I was involved in the occult and objects were used to put spells and curses upon people. Even people's hair and nail clippings were used to curse them. So yes...they are a tool that can be used for demonic activity.

And as far as people being able to see demons, there are those who have the gift from God of discerning of spirits.
---Holly4jc on 11/14/07

Read These Insightful Articles About Depression

2) Some can actually see those spirits while others can just feel the spirits or discern which spirit is operating in a situation (angels or demons) and this is not a sign of dementia, although some people with mental illness have been known to hallucinate, but those who are God's children and have this gift from God are not mentally ill, they are just able to see into the spirit realm.
---Holly4jc on 11/14/07

Part Three:
If you think your life is messed up because of demons in your house or some object that a neighbor gave you is inhabited with a demon, you need to seek professsional help. Throwing out a bunch of material stuff because you think demons are in that stuff is just silly. Until you get help relieving yourself of such nonsense you will never find peace, yourself, or most importantly the one true God.
---matthew on 11/14/07

Part One:

It seems to me that this demon thing is way out of line. Believing in demons is akin to believing in false gods, and if you believe they can actually affect you, then you are approaching worship. Believing that a demon inhabits an object and that therefore that object has power over you and your life is no different that believing your Bible speaks to you and shows you the word of God.Giving power to an object or even the idea of a demon, make it real in a sense and is a form of worship.
---matthew on 11/14/07

PART 3. All occult, ritual and temple objects must be avoided. If you have them in your home now, they must be broken, and burned and totally destroyed. There is no middle ground on these items. God is clear in Deuteronomy 7:25-26 AND 12:3, as well as in Acts 19:18-19 regarding idolatrous, ritual, temple and magical items. Many people pick up souvenir items that at first seem harmless, but carry occult power. When visiting other parts of he world, make sure......
---Whisper on 11/14/07

Read These Insightful Articles About Bible Study

PART 4. you hear from the Holy Spirit regarding any item you decide to purchase. Then anoint it, pray over it, break all curses, spells, hexes and demonic assignments before bringing them into your home. He also then goes onto say....any materials in your house related to the New Age, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, other eastern religions, Christian Science, native religions, and all cults including Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Moonies, The Way International, Masonic items and many many others...
---Whisper on 11/14/07

After these strange things happening in the house I went and got a book called, Portals To Cleansing, by Henry Malone. I can not tell you how this book is helping me to realize, how I have brought cursed objects into my home, this is what he says about "objects" We've all bought things, received gifts inherited items or acquired souvenirs that have the potential of providing demons a point of entry into our households. PART ONE.......
---Whisper on 11/14/07

PART 2....Often tribal objects present problems. Check over items from Native American, African, Mayan, Aztec, Filipino and Haitian cultures. Ethnicity is not necessarily the problem although all ethnic groups have their own set of demonic connections stemming from geographic and root spirits. Instead the issue is whith the demonic practices of each culture that are transferred to objects including a piece of artwork, jewelry, mask or other object.

Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world--or an artifact.

Some people attribute TOO much power to demons.
---Jack on 11/14/07

1) Cynthia...I would get rid of that object. I rarely bring any gift into my home that I do not know the source of. I have thrown many gifts away before returning home with them. Many of the items from those countries that practice Hinduism, Buddism, Voodoo, etc. are prayed over before being sent out. The same thing with herbs, many are prayed over by various false, demonic religions or witches before they are sent out to the market.
---Holly4jc on 11/14/07

2) They would say they are "blessing" the item, whereas their blessings/dedications are in the name of their false gods and are not a blessing to us at all. I am very, very careful, having known what it's like to be attacked by the demons those things bring with them. This girl I work with went to New Orleans and brought everyone back "voodoo dolls". She didn't bring me one (she knows better) but she brought me some other trinket from the very same store. You can bet I threw that out!
---Holly4jc on 11/14/07

3) Cynthia...if you do not feel comfortable throwing it out, perhaps you can do a test and take it out of your house and off of your property and see if there is any change and of course, after you remove it, pray over your property and anoint your house with oil and proclaim the blood of Jesus Christ over everything and then see if there is a difference. :-)

No, they cannot. What children are more sensitive to seeing is the emotional state of adults around them. And children have been known to lie, and even believe in the lie, in order to please adults.

Seeing demons, however is a sign of dementia and should be treated by a psychiatrist--they can prescribe medication that will stop someone from hearing or seeing the demons, thus cutting off any influence they might have for a believer.
---Nancy on 11/13/07

Definitely! After I got saved I was being attacked by demons in my home. God showed me all the things in my home that I needed to get rid of: CD's/Tapes/Records, Native Indian artifacts, New Age pyramids, crystals, etc, many, many books and so on. I must have thrown out $4,000 in stuff. Well, after getting rid of everything God had shown me, praying over my home and anointing it with oil, the demonic attacks stopped. The bible even speaks about "accursed" items. Read Deuteronomy and Joshua.
---Holly4jc on 11/14/07

Definately, they can. Wicca uses all sorts of objects that bring on demons. People's use of voodoo dolls to contact spirits to do harm to others. Ouija boards (now called Angel boards) to contact the dead (demonic spirits). Bleeding statues, object with the face of Jesus or Mary, statues of people or saints, especially objects that are worshipped.

I do not think physical objects, etc. can control Satan's demons. They might first bring a person into bondage so the person brings in junk and has stupid activities, then the demons can appear so it looks as though those things and activities caused them to come. Your question, "Are children supposed to be more sensitive to seeing them?"
Children are more vulnerable. It's up to those with some maturity to protect them, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Providing occultic materials, ouija boards, tarot cards, etc. for the kiddies to play with is spiritual negligence.
---Bob on 11/13/07

YES! Especially items that have been idols, saints, 'goodluck charms', or represent or idolize the spirit world. Children are especially affected by these things.

There is some truth to the fact that the demonic spirits inhabit or at least feel easier around some inanimate objects. For example books or unique and different gifts, may encourage demonic spirits. Are children more sensitive I do not know about that however I did hear my grandchild, who was three at the time, say that he saw God in the windows of the church we were setting in. I don't know whether there is scripture to say that these things can bring evil into the home or not but I play safe and don't have them. We need to be uplifted so anything that does the opposite should be avoided I feel.
---RitaH on 11/13/07
