Don't you all think the Holy Spirit has better things to do than to get even with people in this way?

I do.

Do you ACTUALLY BELIEVE this is how God works?

I don't.

Most defintely God can. He did this to Saul. Read all about it in 1 Samuel 16-14.

No. Evil is always lurking around. Waiting for a door to open so they can sneak back in. Demons are walking to and fro seeking whom they may devour.

John you get an A* this day, for this is precisely why I asked the question, as it is written in 1 Samuel 16:14, "But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him" 1 Samuel 16:14. I was so amazed, scoured it, to make sure I was reading it correctly. God never changes...people do.... but the same things He has demonstrated before are still happening. Which leads me to wonder, what else does the LORD send us that we think is from the devil?

Good point, Mima!

1Sam16 Says when the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, on several occasions an evil spirit from the Lord came upon him. 1Kings 12:23 says the Lord sent a lying spirit to the prophets. The Spirit even led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
It has happened in the past but it isn't something that is common. More often, I believe we are the ones who invite evil spirits to come upon us. God deosn't always follow a mould. He has more than one way of dealing with people.

Do you believe The Holy Spirit is God?

I know the Holy Spirit is a He and He is God.
These are things that God cannot do.

Act in Opposition to His Word
Look upon sin or unrighteousness
Forsake His children
Fail to keep His Word
Share first place in your life with anyone or any thing
Remember repented sins
Be tricked
Be tempted
Turn a deaf ear to a repentant sinner or believer

If the Holy Spirit cannot look upon sin, why would the Holy Spirit send someone an evil spirit.

That would be the job of Satan to send someone an antichrist spirit.

If you know/have the Holy Spirit, you know that this would not be possible.

I understand why blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin.

Attributing the works of the devil to be from the Holy Spirit is very similar to rejecting the evidence given by the Holy Spirit and ascribing it to Satan, rejecting all evidence of the Holy Spirit and attributing it to Satan.

How does this question treat the words of the Lord which say," I will never leave you nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5. Humm It appears we have a problem??
