"Have the first seal been open yet?" Yes. The seals narrate the history of the church from its inception to the second coming of Christ. The first seal represents the pure gospel of Christ embraced and brought forth by the founding "church". Commissioned to go into all the world with the gospel message of salvation, announcing the victory given to man through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. Making the recipients more than conquers, having been given the victory that Christ secured.

I think I should make this clear. When I say "The seals narrate the history of the church from its inception to the second coming of Christ" I am referring to the 'church' as the called out of God both individually and collectively. With the historical reference, relating to the doctrine embraced and brought forth during the first four seals, and the results of each. The fifth seal is currently opening, with the six and seventh seal yet to be opened.

No the first seal has not been opened yet. Seals is a certainly of divine approval. Such as in Jn 6:27, Ro 15:28, 2 Cor 1:22, Eph 1:13, 4:30, Rev 7:3-4. A promise of security. None of the seals have been broken yet.

Jack,I would not appreciate it either. I am sorry this happened to you. I cannot understand why anyone would do this. Let's hope this is the last time.

There is a certain someone that uses everyone's name.

Jack: I don't mean to be rude, but go easy on the guy. It's possible he has the same name as you, and is new to this site. His question is a legitimate one.

John said that there were Anti-Christ even now in the world, but not the Beast that shall arise. And why is it so many thing the church will go through the trib. when it is the "Time of Jacobs" trouble. Jacob=Israel.Daniel's final week or seven years to be fulfilled. It seems to me alot of you believe in replacement theology.I would be interested to see the scriptures that you use to support this teaching and debate it with you.We must take scripture as a whole and not in part.

I'm not the Jack that posted this. Someone is using my name, and I don't appreciate it.

I don't believe any seals have been opened because before they are, according to Rev.5, there are the redeemed of the Lord in front of the throne and the opening of the prayers of the saints(which are still being accumulated) and the glorifying of Jesus by every creature including those in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and in the sea will have happened. I don't see that this has happened.

While martrydom has been in the Church for a long, long time, dense darkness is not here yet.
All Christians will be going through persecution together, globally.

Multitudes, Multitudes in the valley of decision...Joel 3:14

While nations will be plunged headlong into darkness, there are many looking for their ticket out.
But the Church will be strong and evangelize the world. There will be many who refuse to repent through the warnings, the purging of the Church. A great falling away.

The greatest persecution will arise against the Church.
God's grace will increase to meet the needs, no need to be afraid or fear.
Special grace given to those who must endure persecution or even martyrdom.

No. The first seal is not opened.

Let no man deceive you by any means - for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first. 11 Thes. 2:3

That will be the first sign.
Because of great tribulations against the body and mind, many will fall away for their own lives.
They will not take into consideration that it will cost them their souls.
