"There's a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins -- And sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stain..."
---Leon on 1/15/08

Leon, The REAL fountain of Youth is in Heaven.
---Gordon on 1/9/08

I sure wish I could look younger (even though I do look young for my age of 43), partly because I am interested in a young man (go ahead and shame me--I've already scolded myself plenty!) and would love to look more his age.
---Mary on 12/21/07

I would highly recommend Charles Stanley's sermon "How to stay young all of your life". The "fountain of youth" is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
---Greyrider on 12/18/07

The fountain of youth does not exist.
Age,will never cease.
Eternal life can only be granted to does
that are Born-Again.And only through Christ
can this be done.Life after death ,is a fact,................... i know.Read my profile, and keep in touch.I am jack8773.

One reply was not printed.
Let's see if I can sweeten it up.
I'm calling your bluff. You tell us that you googled and found out exactly what it meant, and when you did, you saw, (because I did as well) - the UK slang definition of Ponce, it's directly underneath. So you used that as a far reaching tactic to convince me you're from the UK.
---lovable_linda on 12/14/07

Lovable Linda ... You have just repeated what I myself wrote after I had googled on the world wide web.
But I have no idea why you have done that, or what you mean!
You are getting mysterious, with your various cryptic posts!

You know what I mean, Alan?
---lovable_linda on 12/14/07

Nancy Thanks for that! You learn something every day!
But in England "ponce" is a defamatory word.
There are so many folk here who make insulting changes to other peoples' anmes, that this seemed like one of those instances. I'm glad LL is not guilty!
I wish contributors would not do that sort of thing, which is childish, nor adopt multiple identities
---alan_of_UK on 12/14/07

David said "I was young and now I am old."
The Lord told Peter "when thou art old."
Proverbs 20:29 says the beauty of old men is the grey head.

Part of being honest as a Christian should be to put away vanity and admit to aging.
We should have no desire to remain a babe in Christ nor young in the natural.

The desire to stay and look young just may be the a hidden fear of death we should not have.
Maybe immature or a love of this world as well.

---Frank on 12/14/07

lovable linda ... what are you on about?
---justawatcher on 12/14/07

Alan, Ponce de Leon is the name of the Spanish conquistador famous for searching for the Fountain of Youth.

It's an historical reference, based on Leon's screenname. That's all.
---Nancy on 12/13/07

At Michael Jackson's house.
Look what it did for him.
He went from a talented black boy to an ugly white woman.
Or, so I think.

But go easy on the plastic surgery or your lips will look like Oscar Mayer wieners and your face will end up looking like a Catfish.
---lovable_linda on 12/13/07

L.L. .. Why did you call him "Ponce de Leon"?
---alan_of_UK on 12/13/07

You can lead humbugers* to the fountain but you can't make 'em drink.

*fakers, imposters, liars

L.L./Michelle ... If you write to me on PP, I will privately give you my direct email, and you will then find it is UK one, and I could then even send you a copy of my birth certificate & passport photo, proving I am from the UK ... but of course that would not be able to satisfy your distrustful selves that I am not MikeM.
Except that I am sure MikeM used to write here as SLCguy, so I assume he is from near the HQ of the LDS, with whom he studies.
---alan_of_UK on 12/12/07

Lovable Linda ... It really is something when you accuse someone of lying.
Ask Elder whether I am Mike, he has known me for a long time, and Emcee I think would vouch for me, and Trish. I have been here four years, when did Mike turn up?
Why should agreement on some issues mean we have the same identity?
Your direct accusation make you not at all "loveable"
---alan_of_UK on 12/12/07

L.L My PP ID is Alan8566, not that that will prove to you that I am from the UK, but why should I lie?
Michelle made this same accusation on another blog ... are you she, perhaps? Or maybe you are also Bob, who makes also wild statements that people are posting under multiple names.
Not that it really matters, except to the person who devalues themselves by doing that.
You may, or may not, but I do not.

"...are you needing a major overhaul of tuneup?" Lindaaaa, don't we all? :D

During this Christmas season, though not shocked, I'm deeply saddened by some of the responses to my question. It's obvious our great nation (USA) is drifting periously further & further away from God's Truth.

Thanks Tommy, Bill & Cynthia for your Christ-centered responses to a very serious question. :) Yes, the eternal Fountain of Youth is found in God's Truth/Word (Jesus). (Mt. 7:7-8, Jn. 14:6)

It's up for debate that you actually live in the UK at all, alan.
You do sound a great deal like MikeM., so much so, that I think you are MikeM.
I have enjoyed the way you bolster Mike's blogs. I can feel the love every time you do that.
---lovable_linda on 12/10/07

The Fountain of Youth is most likely in Beverly Hills.
---InimicusStultitiae on 12/9/07

Lovable ... Why do you call him "Ponce de Leon"
In the UK that would be a terrible insult.
Just shows how the meaning of words differ between nations
---alan_of_UK on 12/9/07

Blessings Leon, I agree with lovable Linda, the Holy Spirit of God is your fountain of youth! May God richly bless you my friend. IN CHRIST.

They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters,

There is a tourist attraction by that name in St. Augustine, Florida with a pool of water but it seems to have no special properties. It is just a tourist trap. Founded in 1565 St. Augustine was one of the two walled cities in North America Montreal being the other.
---notlaw99 on 12/7/07

That's a "no-brainer." The Fountain of Youth is Jesus Christ! He is the source of ALL life. John 1:4. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."

Ponce de Leon.
Leon, are you needing a major overhaul or tuneup?

Try the Holy Spirit, Leon. He can change your countenance and take the lines right off your face. Leon - are you trying to catch a certain someone?
---lovable_linda on 12/7/07

Ponce de Leon. Your question does remind me of eating from the Tree of Life, were you thinking of the Garden of Eden, perhaps?
