Cynthia: I asked this question to provoke thought more than to get a personal answer. The major difference between anyone is whether or not they accepted Christ. We're all in the same boat. I think we should feel compelled to befriend as many as we can, Christian or not. I believe this glorifies God. I believe we need to identify with the sinner as Christ did. Cause if He did, who are we not to? Thank God Jesus is available to all.

Adam: Considering your sarcastic sense of humor, I think we would get along. Hard to tell from this side of the screen though.

Have a nice day.

J.n, how are the unsaved going to see the love of God in us if we are not around them? Jesus dined with sinners, and as far as an unsaved friend converting, from personal experience, if that unsaved friend does not like what they see in you, they will avoid you, and shy away from you. God Bless!

catherine: Jesus was a friend of sinners. And we are to do as He did. Being a prude isn't listed as one of the fruits of the Spirit.

The question needs Rephrasing "Who are saints "for are we not all sinners.?How do we make change in our lives?. ADD to the coming of Christ this Christmas,in our daily lives & Hope to become Saints without Blemish to satisfy the calling "You have been made to the image and likeness of God"Gen.1:26 STRIVE to do IT-as it is your calling of your Obedience to the Almighty.

Refuse to convert. We are not Muslems. If God is bent on saving someone they will be saved. Befriending someone who's an unbeliever is not a good idea. The bad rubs off on the good quicker than the good rubs off on the bad. It is a sad and most scarey proposition but true.

Christians are saints, we have been made righteous. To say Christians are sinners is to make a mockery of Christs work and suffering....Did Christ become sin for you so you could deny HIM?...DONT TALK LIKE FOOLS

I would probably not have become a Christian in high school if a girl had not befriended me in 7th grade. She loved me, and witnessed to me, and invited me to church and her house, and I finally accepted the Lord in our senior year. I am so grateful for her loving witness.

As a sinner myself, I might not be the authority on the matter. But I'd say you are allowed to be our friend.

Of course, the feeling has to be mutual. And I'm not sure if some of us are ready to be your friend.

Please don't feel bad, I'm sure you're a great person and it's nothing personal.

First of all, I think we should, and I do. But let me clarify: "unbelievers" is what I meant.

I see many who give up on friendships with unbelievers because they do not convert quickly. Converting is not our job. Preaching is. Living it out in front of others is.

The point is, too many of us give up too quickly. Lets be friends with them, and be real with them, without partaking in their sin. Amen?

DONNA:Jesus said "Unless a seed falls to the ground in good soil it will not grow or bear fruit."

Don't judge. Jesus hung out with sinner's, if He wasn't too good for them I or YOU certainly aint too good for them either. By the way: everybody is a sinner.
---sue on 12/11/07

Yes indeed, Donna, thanks for that.
But sometimes it is difficult to repent!
---alan_of_UK on 12/11/07

Yes,we certainly should. After all we are sinners saved by grace and if they refuse to convert still stay friendly. That doesn't mean we go to poor sinful places like bars but any decent entertainment is fine and show a Christ like attitude and tell them everytime the Father does something good for you.

Read These Insightful Articles About Franchises

Take notice in the scripture provided by Donna that these publicans & sinners wanted to hear Jesus' message.

We should always befriend sinners but we must also be aware we don't need to act or participate with the their life styles. Our job is to tell everyone of Christ its not our job to convert them thats in the hands of God. Its up to us to build a relationship with them so when they decide to give their hearts to God then we can help disciple them.

Mar 2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
The bible said "Be ye witnesses unto men." It doesn't say convert them. It's the Holy Spirit who does the conviction and the Father draws him or her.
