Ryan Z, The people in Hell are ALIVE but, they are NOT LIVING LIFE. They have NOTHING. They are alive, but they have NO PURPOSE. ALL THAT THEY KNOW IS TORMENTS. Torments of many kinds. They are the REAL "living dead". The Lake of Fire is also called "the Second Death", for although you are ALIVE in there, you do not have "A LIFE". We must not underestimate GOD's Holy ANGER against SIN and EVIL. Hell and the Lake of Fire shows how SERIOUS GOD is about SIN and HOLINESS.
---Gordon on 2/7/08

Gordon, how do you reconcile that people have eternal life weather they are Christian or not. Where does the bible promise eternal life to non-believers?
---Ryan_Z on 1/31/08

Matthew, It's so easy to NOT BELIEVE that there's a whole world of Hellish Torments going on down below, because WE CAN'T SEE IT. We find it hard to believe that GOD would allow people to be tormented for Eternity. But, GOD provides for the Just and the unjust. We NOW receive His Goodness, whether we are His Children or not. But, that Grace period is TEMPORARY. For, ALL of that Grace and Goodness ENDS FOR ETERNITY for the UNSAVED. NOW is the time to decide for GOD or self (Satan), BEFORE DEATH COMES.
---Gordon on 1/31/08

Matthew, No, I am not afraid of dying. I believe I'll be in Heaven, but, I don't take it for granted. And I'm not so presumptuous about it in the sense that "Well, I'm so glad that I'm saved, if I commit this or that sin, well, the LORD will chasten me, but I can't LOSE MY SALVATION, yada, yada." GOD hates that arrogant, presumptuous attitude. And yes, there are saints who think like that, I used to, to some degree, and now I cringe about it.
---Gordon on 1/30/08

My question is are you afraid of dieing?

Given that Hell is what you say it is, are you absolutely certain you may not end up there?

Few here can agree on just a few things on what God expects of us. What if you've got one of them wrong...
---matthew on 1/24/08

Hades>>>In the NT greek, The word occurs ten times and is uniformly rendered "hell" in KJV. The Lake of Fire. Following the Resurrection and the Judgment of the lost, becomes the final place of punishment by ETERNAL FIRE. Now on to hell. The real existence of hell is irrefutably taught in Scripture. Also teaches the suffering of the lost is eternal. unimaginable suffering and torment. People, you underestimats the seriousness of sin, the spititual nature of sin, and the supreme HOLINESS of God.

Good Job Matthew, I've NOTICED THE SAME THING, And not only that they'll be right on some things & out in left field on others!
Like this reply, i've told you Good Job, And a couple days from now i might see a Blog or reply to a Blog from you And say to myself, what is this guy crazy, he was so right about that, HOW can He be SO wrong about this! I'm sure people say the samething about me,"CRAZY". WE'll ALL KNOW WHO'S RIGHT IN THE END!
---Duane_M on 1/24/08

Mima, I didn't mean "going and sinning no more". I was referring to the fact that there'll be "sin, no more" or "sin, no longer" for the Saints in Heaven. It was a reply to a statement that someone made earlier on. I should have worded it differently, like "no more sin".
---Gordon on 1/24/08

Matthew, YES! I am EXTREMELY frightened of ever going to Hell. I could only "handle it" if YAHUSHUA Himself went WITH ME while I held on to Him all the way. Hell and the Lake of Fire are GOD's "tangible" expressions of His hatred and REPUGNANCE toward sin. That's why it's important to understand that "without Holiness, NO MAN will see the LORD". We must love Holiness and Righteousness and HATE sin and Evil. Everyone should be frightened of Hell!

The Lake of Fire is a metaphor for purgatory.
---InimicusStultitiae on 1/23/08

I can agree with Gordon that hell & the lake of fire are 2 different places, and that the inhabitants of hell (who are currently conscious of their surroundings) will eventually be destroyed in the lake of fire. Rev.20:14.

I further argue that only God is immortal that those in Christ will acquire immortality and reign forever in heaven with the Lord. 1 Cor. 15:53

Those in the lake of fire will eventually cease to exist and not experience eternal punishment.
---Lee on 1/23/08

Are you afraid to die? I mean if you are right about the burning hell and lake of fire, it means that if we're not living right we are in for eternal and excruciating suffering. What if you've got the hell thing right, but some other part of your life is going to get you sent to hell. Do you worry about that? Its a scary thought, and since it seems no more than 5 people on these blogs can agree on any one thing it seems likely that there is going to be a terrible surprise for many of us.
---matthew on 1/23/08

The Lake of Fire was renamed from Bubba's Fishing Hole, after an accident. A teenage couple, in the summer of 1972, snuck out of their homes in the middle of the night for a tryst in a small rowboat. After drinking some wine, apparently one of them tried to light a cigarette, and the air and the water caught fire. They died of asphyxiation and both were badly burnt. The girl's face was not recognizable since her hair caught fire. The lake has since been cleaned up with superfund money and filled in.
---CRYSTALclear on 1/23/08

Gordon, by "hell" are you refering to Sheol/Hades, Gehenna or Tartaroo?
---Ryan_Z on 1/23/08

Gordon_Sorry Bro!
My Bad I must have because i certainly agree with your asessment on the Lake of Fire & other things.

John 5:14
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: SIN NO MORE, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

John 8:10
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: GO, and SIN NO MORE.
To think that he only said it to these two people would be a STRETCH.
---Duane_M on 1/23/08

---Duane_M this statement is not correct." Gordon_Every person the Lord Healed, He told "to go and Sin NO More" in the Bible and I have Jesus had go and sin no more. Only one time in the entire scriptures.
---Mima on 1/23/08

Duane M, It seems you misunderstood my message. What I've been saying on this Blog is that Hell and the Lake of Fire are two different places. Hell is the "temporary" abode of the Damned. Then, one day, that same Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Meaning the INHABITANTS of Hell, will all be cast alive into the Eternally Burning Lake of Fire. That "sin no more" referred to NO MORE EXISTENCE OF SIN for the Saints in Heaven.
---Gordon on 1/23/08

It's a small lake in Texas, that is downstream from several oil processing plants and petrochemical companies. Over the years because of the massive acculmulation of effluents on hot days the air immediately above it became flammable and sometimes caught fire, further igniting surface oil, and petro by products. It was really quite tiny, known as "Bubba's Fishing Hole", (with really few fish) until the 70's when there were no longer any fish. Then it was call "The Lake of Fire."

Gordon_Every person the Lord Healed, He told "to go and Sin NO More" or a worse thing than before will befall you! Mary Mag. was a Adultress whore when he told her to go & sin no more,Not a Saint..
I would stop telling people that was just for the old saints, Don't you fear God for telling people Lies???

Hades/Hell, Death will be cast into the Lake of Fire, SO, no their not the same places...
---Duane_M on 1/19/08

Inimicus Stultitiae, Are you KIDDING?! It's HORRIBLE and EXTREMELY SADDENING that people are going to be going to the Lake of Fire! But, that's exactly why I tell the TRUTH about it, and WARN about it! So that people can know what their REAL options are, and decide from there. In hopes that they'll REPENT of their sin, and RECEIVE the Offer of Salvation through YAHUSHUA. So they can AVOID going to the Lake of Fire and instead, go to Heaven!
---Gordon on 12/27/07

Dennis, That promise of "Sin no more" is ONLY for the Saints. There will only be ONE TINY SPOT (in comparison to the size of the Entire Universe!) where Rotteness will dwell eternally, and that will be the Lake of Fire. And those who will inhabit that Lake will be imprisoned in and LOCKED IN that Lake eternally, with NO WAY to escape out. So GOD's Universe with His Saints and Holy Angels will indeed be eternally FREE from sin and corruption! GOD knows exactly what He's doing!
---Gordon on 12/27/07

The concept of a sinner burning eternally in hell is anathema to what Jesus Christ taught. At the end of the 1000 years when the New Jerusalem comes to earth all sin will be destroyed. Those who are outside the city, where there is sin, will be utterly destroyed along with their sin. If sinners burn in hell forever then the sin that is in them would exist forever, and this God will not allow.

Gordon, it sounds as if you are really going to enjoy sitting up there with God as he systematically destroys the vast majority of his human creation.
---InimicusStultitiae on 12/21/07

Hell (Hades) is where Sinners NOW go to right at Death. The First Death so to speak. After YAHUSHUA's Reign on Earth for 1,000 Years, the Sinners will be brought up from Hell into the very Presence of GOD at the Great White Throne of Judgement and will have their lives reviewed and judged. They will CLEARLY SEE AND KNOW why they are condemned and then they will each be cast ALIVE into the Eternally Burning Lake of Fire (Gehenna), the Second Death, to "dwell" FOREVER.

To answer your question about where I belong, In Dan. 2 you will see 'a rock cut out w/o hands' appears at the time of the ten toes. Dan 8:14 gives us a closer date (1843-44) Mat. 24:43-51 gives a picture of ONLY ONE person in charge and will be feeding the fellow bond servants at the proper time (hungry). The food is TRUTH! Mat. 25:1-13 tells who these bondservants come from. Rev.11 we see two witnessses. Do they STIR up things? You better belive it!

Shawn, Doc Rich indicated on another blog around here he rejects Paul as an imposter, and also referred us to a website doing the same. I think he is a sort of Christian/Ebionite/Noahide.

Dr. Rich
Also keep in mind Proverbs 15:18 which states a wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeases strife.

The Lord had called us to spread only the good news to edify the Church not to stir things up, things are already being stirred up by the evil in the World.
---Shawn.M.T on 12/20/07

This all started when Dr. Rich stated to Brian3745 that people in the bible argued, after hearing Brian3745 state that the bible does say that we shouldnt be involved in arguments.

I do not hear Dr. Rich stating that he does not accept the Word of God that was spoken through Paul. But what I do hear is that Paul was not perfect. No one is, except Christ.
---Shawn.M.T on 12/20/07

Dr. Rich
Your right people did argue then and they still do now, but as Brian3745 stated it is not what the Lord has called us to do.

If Paul was arguing & acting as Dr. Rich says he was, I do not know, but if Paul did then those actions of Pauls were not sanctioned by the Word of God. But that does not mean that other things that Paul said & did were not of the Word of God.
---Shawn.M.T on 12/20/07

Hell and the Lake of Fire are two different Places. Hell is the Place of Torment that Sinners go to at death. The Lake of Fire (Second Death) is the Final ETERNAL Abode of the Devil, the demons and the Damned of mankind. Hell is a House of Horrors, but, the Lake of Fire is INFINITELY WORSE. The souls that go there will burn but not be consumed, nor will they ever die. They will be in a perpetual state of a Living Death. These two Places are GOD's "expression" of how He feels about SIN and EVIL.

I will agree that most of Paul's writings are awesome and wonderful. Years ago I came back to being a Christian because of Paul's writings. I was very angry when someone pointed out the many problems with Paul. But after 4 years of study on this it is no longer just a belief, I know for sure! So, I do understand how controversial this is. All I ask is for you to study yourselves.
---Dr._Rich on 12/20/07

As for what I believe or reject is based upon years of critical investigation. I was not there to see Paul and James fight, so I go by what others wrote. ("JAMES, THE BROTHER OF JESUS") I do know that Paul condemned Peter in public, and this was against what he even taught. Too many people write and speak without doing their due diligence. I don't intend to lead people astray, I do intend to 'stir' them up to get them to do their own study!
---Dr._Rich on 12/19/07

It says the Lake of Fire is the Second Death, so it would seem those tossed in will die and be dead as doornails.

Mima, That,s a new twist "the sun is the lake of fire"? If you look in your bible it defines the lake of fire as "this MEANS the second death, the lake of fire" If it was literal if would not need definition!

Dr. Rich
(1)The verses (text) you seek from Brian3745 are (Act 5:39, 1 Cor. 14:10, 12, 26) helping us bring the Peace of God to all things in all situations.

We are to find ourselves praising in that Word of God that we are able to hear and that which we can not hear we should not fight against, lest we find ourselves fighting against God (Act 5:39).
---Shawn.M.T on 12/19/07

(2) There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without significance. We will find that when we come together, every one of us has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, and has a translation, even if it seem strange to us, forasmuch as we ask for spiritual gifts, we should only seek to excel to the edifying of the body of Christ (1 Cor.14:10, 26, 12).

According to Rev 20:14 Hell will be cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is a lake of fire that burns with brimstone( Rev 19:2). ( Rev20:10)There will be torment day and night forever and ever. I don't see these to be just different descriptions of hell. Hell is cast into the lake of fire so they are 2 different things.

The lake of fire can be seen this sky everyday. It is the sun. In heaven will not need the sun for Jesus himself will be the light.
---Mima on 12/19/07

Cynthia, Hades/Sheol The Lake of Fire and Tartarus are three different nouns translated by one word, "Hell". This has lead many people into confusion. It takes serious study and spiritual discernment to be able to identify them correctly and what their roles are in the Word of God.

the bible does say that we shoulnt be involved in arguements that do not build or edify the church. All we must say it eternal dermnation. whateva way. So one just needs to know Christ as their savoiur
