I am still home recuperating from major hernia surgery. I would appreciate your prayers. I had hoped to be back to work by now, but my progress is slower than anticipated.

Sleet, snow, hail. Rinse, repeat
Winter is one of my favorite times of year, but enthusiasm melts along with slushy, snow piling up along the roads.
I'm yearning for summer fruits as I look at my stash of hum-drum apples. I would give anything for berries. Must be the lack of sunlight.
A toast to the New Year, and I mean a slice of cinnamon toast.

NVBarbara....I've been praying for you. You have certainly had your hands full this last year. We will pray that 2008 brings relief for you.

I pray for our country & its leaders. I also pray earnestly that my family members will be blessed with good health. I need strength and patience as I am still caring for 2 of my sisters. I'm working on a plan that will help relieve me of my duties here so I can go home SOON! I miss Steve & Knothead!
God bless all of you in this coming year..
No fear Alan, you're a delightful gentleman, if it be God's will He will send a new companion for you who deserves your kindness. Hugs to all!

jane....It appears as if you are going to have a very, very, very long year.

My granddaughter could use some prayer. She is sick with the Rotovirus and has been sick since Saturday. She is only six months old. Also, I had hernia surgery a couple of weeks ago, and I am set to return to work next week. I don't have all my strength back yet.

Alan: I am sorry about your relationship situation, but am glad you can see the truth in it. I hope the Lord blesses you with a woman who can join you in honoring the Lord the way you seek to.

I'm sorry, Alan, may God bless you and bring you joy this year, love in Christ, Mary

I want to put Jesus first for a change. I always try to take control of problems and fix them then I make them worse. So now, I'm letting the Master of the Universe, Savior and Lord of Lords fix them. I am going to read the Bible daily, pray, listen to uplifting Christian music, attend church as often as possible 3x week, tithe, witness, take care of my body by eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, no strong drink and submit to my husband. Thank you God for your Son! Praise Jesus.

Well it's true that God doesn't withhold wisdom from those who seek it and in 2007 he's shown me a lot of ways that I need to change.
My hope for 2008 is that my courage doesn't fail me in being all that I am needed to be for my family and that the Lord would bless my effort to multiply it's result as only he can.

I look forward to 2008 with a bit of sadness, because i have had a lady friend for the last year, but yesterday she told me that was over.
I will be a bit lonely, as we had a lot in common and spent a lot of time togwether and really enjoyed each others' company.
I think she is right though, because I think she realised I did not feel for her as much as she felt for me.

God blessed my family with two beautiful additions in 2007. My granddaughter was born in June, and my son married a lovely Christian girl in September.
My hope for 2008 would be that I would be more zealous in witnessing and have a closer walk with the Lord and serve Him more.
