Prayer For Ex Husband

When my husband and I first got married, neither one of us were saved. About two years later, I recieved Christ as my personal Savior, but my husband did not. Now my husband has ended our marriage, and I know that God's word talks about this. I am still praying for him. Any suggestions?

Hello sister Cynthia, I am sorry to hear that your husband left. I know how it feels since at one time my wife left me. I was not saved at the time so I was very devastated. She was my whole life. I had put her on a pedistal and she was my god. All other things were important but never as much as her. I believe God permitted this to happen to me or allowed it to happen for through this trial we both came to the Lord.

#2. Keep doing what you have been doing. Allow God to work in his heart. keep answering questions for by answering you have learned so much about God. Our dependence is on Him and not on our own efforts, our efforts sometimes cause more problems. Every time I tried to fix things, they only got worse. Until one day I told God, from here on down, I put everything in your hands, and from now on all I will do is learn more about you. Things begin to change. It took for me to stay out and lean on Him.

#3. Cynthia, I will pray for him and I know many here will too. Concentrate on your life with Christ, and behind the scene God is already working. One day you will look back and see what God has done. Blessing for you and strength from our Lord and Savior, love you,

I am sorry to hear about the end of your marriage. I empathize, as my husband ended mine six years ago.

I suggest you pray God's Word for your husband. Ephesians 3 has a prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesians. I encourage you to pray for him in a similar way, that he be renewed in the inner man, and come to know the savior.

In my case, Cynthia...not the same thing, but I may have "lost" someone very special to me. First...I need to see how I could have been wrong so she wouldn't want me anymore, and do better about this in a-l-l my relating > "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" (in Matthew 5:46) Yes, pray for her, improve in God's love for her. Oh yes, I've found I can be a pity-potter > it may be just as well this happened so I could see this (((o:

It is good to pray for others.

But always remember:
Our prayers are to always server Gods Word, when this is done we know our prayers are answered (John 14:13).

But if we pray amiss, to be used upon our own lust, we will not receive our prayers(James 4:2-3).

Cynthia, continue to pray for your husband. Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes, he will convict the world of sin. If your husband did not receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior when you did, then pray every day for his salvation and in the meantime, make Jesus your husband, take him as your husband like it says in Isaiah. God loves you and God wants everyone saved so that NONE should perish.
