Trish, You have my sympathies and please remember that you'll one day be in heaven where there is no more sadness and no more death. God bless you.
Plus, if you do move to Michigan, bring a nice, warm coat! We just had 4 more inches of snow last night! You and your family are in my prayers regarding your precious brothers and if you do move, it will be safe and happy.
---sue on 2/26/08|
Trish, dear Sister-in-Christ,I am so sorry to hear the bad news of your brother. My prayers are with you and your family. God Bless and keep you all and may God's strength be yours.
---Darlene_1 on 2/26/08|
Trish ... my prayers are with yuo and your family.
My wife died at that age.
Sadness, mixed with Joy, as we know they are with the Lord.
---alan_of_UK on 2/25/08|
This is another indication that you need to be closer to your daughter and grandchild. You need someone close that is always there for you. We will be praying for you and your family through this.
---Susie on 2/25/08|
Our prayers are with you Trish. Sorry to hear this.
---j._nonymous on 2/25/08|
I am soooo sorry, Trish. There are no words sufficient for something like this. Just know we're in prayer for you and God knows how to minister to you when nobody else may have a clue. I am sooo deeply sorry.
---Mary on 2/25/08|
All, please pray for Trish and her family. He elder brother died yesterday, she is just healing from the abrupt death of a younger brother last year. Her Mom needs many extra prayers, she is still grieving over her younger son's death.
We love you Trish, may God give you peace.
---NVBarbara on 2/23/08|
I would really appreciate your prayers. My brother died suddenly at the age of 56. His wife and I are comforted by the knowledge that he is with our Lord, not suffering any physical illness, as he had been suffering with bad knee surgery in recent weeks.
---trish9863 on 2/22/08|
Trish....You must really like cold weather. I know being around that grandbaby will be better for you. In your line of work, there are always jobs available. It's a sick world out there, as you know from your career.
---Susie on 2/18/08|
I finally went back to work at the psychiatric hospital. I love being there with the patients.
I may be moving to Michigan to be closer to my granddaughter, but will need a job. Please pray I find a good social work job near my daughter.
---Trish9863 on 2/17/08|
So long for now folks...I'll be going back to Oregon tomorrow. Once I get things there in order, I'll be in touch. I did tell Steve where the vacuum cleaner is 'hidden', hopefully he found it and has been using it!
God bless and hugs to all of you. Please pray that I have a safe flight and don't get grounded anywhere in snow! (my niece got stuck in Chicago last week-end for 8 hours on her way back from Tahoe, all that snow!)
---NVBarbara on 2/12/08|
You get a nervous mother and you end up in a doctor's office and that's worse than school.
Fake a stomach cramp and when you're doubled over, moaning and wailing, just lick your palms. It's a little stupid and childish but then so is high school. Right? FERRIS
This is my ninth sick day with semester. If I go for ten, I'm probably going to have to barf up a lung. So, I absolutely must make this one count.
He exits into the hallway.

Thank's everyone that is praying and also Gods blessings all round Barb I don't know if this will make things any better but to improve my Diabetes I ate a lot of GI foods pulses such as kidney beans Cooked in a soup, lentils soup and it made a huge difference just as I was getting fed up, had baby and was off Insulin However a well known fact is that going vegan can alter the impact of diabetes and possibly reduce medication. Google Diabetes GI foods/vegan diet see what comes up.

They say it's only hypochondria, but that's definitely one disease I do not want.
---Mark on 2/8/08|
Hypochondriacal - some think their heads have been replaced with beehives. Not all the delusions are unhappy, however: there are those who become convinced that they are kings or emperors, or simply irresistible to the opposite sex.

Prayers for Jack from here Trish. Please also keep my brother in prayer. After 3 botched surgeries, he may yet have to undergo another. His sternum still moves when he coughs or exerts much movement. My sisters are still not so great, my eldest sister Louise may have to undergo more shoulder surgery. Poor Mary Ann, the Diabetes is picking up speed to turn her into an invalid, it breaks my heart.
---NVBarbara on 2/8/08|
Thank you very much Susie. You understand. Thank you for prayers and encouragment. Carla, my prayers go out to you and your precious baby. And to Jack and others as well.
---Kella3336 on 2/8/08|
Carla: Love and prayers for your baby. God bless.
Everyone: Please pray for my brother, Jack, as he has surgery to repair torn quadricep tendon in both legs on Friday the 8th. He will have to go to a nursing home afterward for aftercare, then possibly a rehab.
---Trish9863 on 2/7/08|
Carla...We will be praying for that precious baby.
---Susie on 2/7/08|
Kella...God will provide as always. We will be praying for the right job for you. I know you are going to be happier attending a church you like on a regular basis.
---Susie on 2/7/08|
Carla, usually a day or so under a 'Billy Rubin' light will get things in working order. It'll make her liver functions speed up and the jaundice will go away. God bless.
---NVBarbara on 2/7/08|
Thank you Barbra we certainly need prayer something so simple, like jaundice we some times take for granted, she was not refered and now she has to be hospitalised on Tues if the levels do not decrease by then. I was confident that if I follwed the sun around the room she'd be ok she was for one day but then she got yellow again, her name names Lesharna thank you once again for praying God Bless CarlaXXXXXX
---carla5754 on 2/7/08|
Barb...Packing? We gotta sell this place first. Fortunately, we live in an area which hasn't been as negatively affected as the rest of the country. You know, Las Vegas is the past for us. We're still waiting for the Lord's direction as we have several opportunities right now in various states.
---Susie on 2/7/08|
I am looking for a job.My husband and I are moving to the next town over. And I will continue to work when we move into our new apt. It will be nice to regularly attend the church there and be closer to friends and see them more often.
---Kella3336 on 2/7/08|
So, are you packing yet Susie?? It seems you may have a directive..
---NVBarbara on 2/7/08|
Had a dream last night in which the Lord told me "Forget the past. I have a new work for you." Wow! That says a lot.
---Susie on 2/6/08|
Oops I forgot--CONGRATS Carla! You and your precious new one will be in my prayers.
What did you name your new bundle of joy?
---NVBarbara on 2/6/08|
I can guess Susie! wish I were in Vegas right now!
---NVBarbara on 2/6/08|
Barb...We live in the desert in Arizona now. But, as you know Vegas was our home for many years. There are many ministries that we can just walk back into there. Our home Bible Study on Saturday nights is something that we really miss. My husband's partner in the ministry there lives in Portland area now. His wife loves the cold weather. He spends half the year in Oregon and half in Vegas. He's a semi-retired accountant. Guess which months he stays in Vegas?
---Susie on 2/5/08|
Well what's up 4 feb, Im a new mum again gave birth to a baby Girl in Jan she was due 18th Feb, Pls pray for her as she has Jaundice but is borderline and treatment had been delayed til Fri unless it gets worse, Midwife said she would have to be hospitalised if she was born at 36wks but she was 37+1day yet she looks awfully yellow even her eyes, she's feeding well thou, , still in recovery stage having had C-section and it takes a while to heal God Bless all and Thanks for your prayers CarlaXXX
---Carla5754 on 2/5/08|
I want to go, too.
---Kimberly_BB on 2/5/08|
I don't think it's quirky at all.
If one of us goes to the desert, all of us will be going to the desert.
It really didn't take me 8 years to figure that out.
---Lynda on 2/5/08|
Really Susie!? I would LOVE to be back in the desert!
We're not sure what we're going to do just yet, but the cold and rain in OR. is driving Steve crazy!
Also it seems after debating it a long time, Mom is now seriously thinking of moving to Spokane to be close to her daughter. How quirky would that be if we both ended up back in Vegas!
---NVBarbara on 2/5/08|
Looks like a lot of us are planning moves this year. Barb, we're actually considering going back to our old ministry grounds in Vegas. Property is now very affordable there.
---Susie on 2/4/08|
MikeM if you ever decide you'd want to move to Fla., my son could give you a good paying job-you could also couple it with your digs! He's a local VP for an International solid waste company and his drivers earn $70,000 yearly!
Ok...just a thought!
---NVBarbara on 2/4/08|
Trish I know your time with the Granddaughter will be limited by your working but every moment is precious. Not to mentionn with the daughter. Let God and your heart lead you. When my Grandchildren went to school I wound up picking the children up from school and keeping them until their Mom got through with work everyday in our nextdoor office. I formed an extra close bond with them. I'll be praying for you. Blessings
---Darlene_1 on 2/4/08|
Because Uncle spends his days blogging and only makes $38 grand a year?
Why not spend 6 weeks and make a $100 grand?
---Mark on 2/3/08|
Siblings, My brother, 4 week course, truck driver, 45,000 a year'
sister, 6 week course, beauty salon, business makes over 100,000 a year.
Me, 4 year college degree, 38,000 last year.
This is one reason my neice Niki, 22 wants to 'drop out' of college. She is in her 4th year, and doing fine. Why do so many students drop out in their 4th year?
---MikeM on 2/3/08|
Wow Trish that would be a life changing move! Are teaching jobs available in that area for you? Pray hard, follow what God would have you to do. I admit it sounds like a brilliant idea! You'll be in my prayers sister.
Steve and I are considering a move too. We'll talk more when I get home.
---NVBarbara on 2/3/08|
Trish...One thing came to mind. Someone once said, "Get out while the gettin's good." Sounds like a good move to me.
---Susie on 2/2/08|
The house sold, which I was watching for Christian friends who have kids and grandchildren and prison visitation ministry etc. Action developing for a three-day antique open house sale, and the guy wants me to play the piano so it sells. That should be interesting, since I've played experimentally more than ten years without a lesson(o: Now, the buyer may want me to stay and watch the place. And praying to relate better in relationships.
---Bill_bila5659 on 2/2/08|
Hi Barb and all. My daughter may be buying a second house to rent out, and asked me if I might want to move into it. It would put me within walking distance of my granddaughter, instead of 12 hours away. Pray for this decision, as I would love to leave this urban jungle and be closer to my granddaughter.

Happy February all! I hope and pray that this new year has started out great for you.
I'll leave my sisters' to go home to Oregon on the 13th. Please keep my sisters (Mary Ann & Louise) in your prayers, its going to take quite some time for much improvement.
I miss my dearest Steve, and his Mom and of course Knothead!
Do tell me what's up with all of you! Sharing some humor would be great too since we don't have a humor blog at the moment.
---NVBarbara on 2/1/08|
February? Already? Where did January go? Thsi means I am just two months away from the BIG 60.....ouch! That hurts!
