"I would think it would be Psalm 91. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High God, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge, my God in Him will I trust. It may not be a physical place, but a spiritual one, amen? --donna8365 on 4/4/08"

Beautiful Donna, Amen. However I would like you to consider that this is a place of refuge and protection rather than a hiding place. "A city set on a hill can not be hidden".

If the Bible said it is Petra, that would be fine. However, I can't find a single mention of it anywhere. Can you indicate just where the Bible talks about Petra (directly or indirectly)?
---StrongAxe on 4/8/08

Petra is actually very large. When you enter the gorge that leads in, the wide area goes on for more than a mile before you're actually at the buildings. Enough room for 144,000.

Look, the church and/or Israel is NOT the woman of Revelation 12! Neither were ever in heaven. The "woman" is the Holy Spirit. She fled to the earth (wilderness). There is no such thing as a 'hiding place'. The last of Her children are the 100k and the 5 wise virgins. (As in born of the Spirit) They will be the ones that keep the 10 commandments and the testimony of Jesus. (not Paul's testimony)

I dont care about any movie,
the word of God Says Petra,
If i'm not mistaken, Only the 144,000 flee to Petra, When the AntiChrist Sets up his Kingdom in Jerusalem?

Hi, that is wonderful, Mima! :)

I will also point out that besides the fact that Petra (featured in INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE) is actually rather small and cannot possibly hold all the refugees from Israel, it's in Jordan, a Muslim state, that is not likely to harbor them.

Jack: "The CHURCH is Israel."

The church is NOT Israel, but IS the Christians - not a denomination, a non-profit organization or a building. Jesus is to return to join with (marry) people not a denomination, a non-profit organization or a building.

Consider this: if you knew the hiding place wouldn't Satan also know the hiding place? And wouldn't he prepare the hiding place as a trap for Jews and Christians? Is the hiding place as secret as the known time of the return of Jesus? Are we to try to save our lives in the first place?

The same Satanic fury unleashed at the birth of Christ is still operative against the godly of the nation that gave Him birth.>>>There is no valid reason why it cannot refer to the literal wilderness EAST of the holy city, JERUSALEM.>>>Please check it out. Ezekiel 20:35.

My bibles (and I have many) don't show that there is any 'hiding place' for Israel in Revelation 12:6-14. So why would anyone ask this question? In fact, where is 'Israel' in any of this? Are you adding or subtracting things found in Revelation?

One day I was in a particularly rowdy area of Tokyo, and looking for a place to eat between teaching jobs at various addresses. I had a few hours to spare. I got off the train to go to the centre of Tokyo and prayed for God to lead me. I walked and walked and finally came to a fast food restaurant in the middle of it all, and tucked myself away into a corner. Right beside me were a Japanese couple with their Bibles open on the table. I got my Bible out. We exchanged addresses. Strange, that.

The woman, called as bearer of the new covenant, fled into apostasy. The wilderness is not a hiding place, rather a place of waste and desolation, the feeding ground of those who feed off the doctrine of the dead influenced by tail of the Dragon of Rev.12:4. Eventually the dragon himself will bring forth his flood of intoxicating doctrine & the woman will fly into that wilderness of deception. However, The Father will always reserve a remnant who will stand unyielding in the face of that deceiver.

I agree with your say.

I believe that the Jewish people will be FORCED to go to Israel, all the genuine Jews. There, I believe all the nations will make war against them. Just like the millions that died in the Jewish Holocaust, the same thing can and probably will happen again. And just like before, we won't know about it, in fact it could be happening right now. Remember since 911 the media has been taken over by the CIA.

DDM, we who are children of God and washed in the blood of Christ are spiritual virgins.
If forgiven for all our sins, our bodies are just our useless 'earth suits'.

A personal story concerning what donna is posting about. One day while driving in my truck I was praying and I asked the Lord to place me in that place of rest, which is in him, and immediately I felt that rest and peace and have enjoyed it ever since. Several of my closes acquaintance have commented on my change After that prayer.

Good Job Augie!
Without a doubt the Truth is in you on this Matter...
Not all of Israel will flee ONLY the 144,000 sealed of God, Who are virgins & of the 12 Tribes.
God knows who they are & NO, I'm not one
of them, I've Defiled myself(Fornicated),
Plus I married and have 3 children, Hardly a Virgin, BUT, I AM Forgiven!

If the church is Israel, is the Church entitled to the land promised to Abraham and his seed?
---Mima on 4/4/08

And if the Israelis all run there, that will be like dynamiting fish in a barrel.

The CHURCH is Israel.
---Jack on 4/3/08

I think you are correct Augie. I've looked at the pictures on the Net of Petra, just amazing. All the city was carved right out of the rock. The history of Petra is interesting, especially how it was 'rediscovered.'

From what I have learned I believe that it is to be to the mountains to the north, Mt. Gilead is north east of Jerusalem. They are to flee to the mountains, and not to go back for anything. This is from the ancient maps, I don't know the name of the city as it is today, I guess I could have looked it up, but someone will.
