False Signs Miracles & Wonders

Some of the signs and wonders seen in churches are very questionable and I am sure that some are counterfeit (gold dust, gemstones and gold fillings spring to mind). What's up?

The idea of gold fillings appearing is PRECISELY putting God in a box! Why? Because it's something God can do, but man can do as well. It's the best we can do, but no better.

Replacing damaged teeth with undamaged natural teeth - that is a miracle God could easily do, but man cannot.
---StrongAxe on 11/5/08

I have seen these signs and wonders as well. Do NOT put God in a box, He can do these signs and wonders if He chooses - just because you do not believe them, does not make them not true. Yes, Satan can counterfeit things, but most signs and wonders are from God. Putting God in box, only limits what He can do to bless your life.

The devil does care about producing these false miracles as the false miracles encourage the people to follow the false pastors and false teachers that are being lead by demons.
---Moderator on 5/26/08

oKAY ENOUGH of the speculation Jesus has no record of healing by the use of Gold or any other Gem on the contrary Jesus healed the leprous hand and it was made whole,he healed the sick, raised the dead and chucked out demons. God is a God that cannot lie and gave you the word of God for reference, this is getting absurd. The signs you question are False!
---Carla5754 on 5/26/08

Mar 1:42
And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed

Mat 8:16
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with [his] word, and healed all that were sick:

Mar 1:34
And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

Mar 1:34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

Act 28:8

And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Jhn 12:1
Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
---Carla5754 on 5/26/08

Act 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Measure these things up with the scriptures that's all you have for evidence of truth.

One of the great false miracles of modern times was the great spinning of the sun at the appearing of the Virgin Mary in Portugal in October 1917.
---LoveOneAnother on 5/25/08

I'm not going to judge gold fillings either because I've been told that there are the poorest of the poor with no money, living out of their cars, no insurance for dental work, receiving gold fillings in their teeth.
Some had horrible pain, abcesses.

Nope, I'm not putting my mouth on these blessings either.
---Emily on 5/25/08

If I witnessed a poor family living in their car with little food and no place to live receive free dental work, who am I to say that it's all deception.

If I saw Criss Angel doing it, I would walk away for sure.
When the Holy Spirit blesses people, that's not something the devil would do. He could care less if Christians teeth fall out.
---Emily on 5/25/08

I don't know about gemstones or what they represent.
But as for free dental work for children, gum disease and infection removed...why would the devil do such a good thing?
---Emily on 5/25/08

Carla ... I don't think so!
But gold fillings are more durable.
And for implants, gold surfaces are more durable than porcelain.

StrongAxe_There's going to be a Solar Eclipse on my B-Day Aug. 1st.

I never heard of an Eclipse or Seen one cause Smoke & Vapours & Signs in the Stars or the Moon turning red.

Wormwood causes the waters to become Bitter & kills a 3rd of man.
Theirs 3 others besides Wormwood...
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/23/08

Sun turning to darkness and moon turning to blood are both seen respecively during solar and lunar eclipses. Of course, heavy volcanic ash could probably also have both of those, as could a huge meteorite hitting the earth (one named "wormwood" comes to mind).

Your FAITH is more Precious than ALL the Gold in the World.
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/23/08

Granted, this is entirely my opinion:

However, if God wanted to make people's mouths pure, why would he use gold rather than restoring the original teeth that he made in the first place? On the other hand, if gold is that much more pure, why not replace ALL the teeth with gold?

Then again, gold is an earthly treasure (and Jesus told us to build up incorruptible treasures in heaven rather than corruptible treasures on earth).

Acts 2:
18 And on my SERVANTS and on my HANDMAIDENS I will pour out in those days of my Spirit, and THEY shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew WONDERS IN heaven ABOVE, and SIGNS IN the earth BENEATH, BLOOD, and FIRE, and VAPOUR of SMOKE:

20 THE SUN shall be turned into DARKNESS, and THE MOON into BLOOD, BEFORE the great and notable DAY of THE LORD come:

Kinda sounds like Volcanoes huh?

Luke 21:
25 And there SHALL be SIGNS in the SUN, and in the MOON, and in the STARS, and UPON the EARTH distress of NATIONS, with PERPLEXITY, the SEA and the waves ROARING,

this gold teeth and pixi dust is fake.because Jesus is no respecter of persons.if this to truly be a sign it would have not happend to a privileged few.Jesus warned of these fake signs by false teachers and profits in the end times.he said an evil and perverse generation looks for signs. It would be better if we just trust him as we are expected to. graham

Carla ... in fact gold is stronger than porcelain, so is better used unless the tooth/filling is visible

Hi Mark V .. I did not think it was you, It's interesting he has not had the guts to answer my questions!
I recall now there was an earlier Mark, who was one of the gang stating that many of the bloggers here were just one person. I was female, MikeM and not from the UK, and NVBarbara and Darlene and many others were all one person.
Seems he has resurfaced!
Incidentally a Mark 62 (not 29) has turned up on another blog. The same guy?
---alan_of_UK on 5/22/08

"I heard the anointed man of God say the reason God is giving people Gold teeth is because He wants to deal with the purity of people's mouths and stop the judgements that are coming against man and against God" Well, if that were God's reason I think that a zip fastener across the mouth would have been more appropriate and would certainly have been a 'visible' sign.
---RitaH on 5/22/08

Anything said here without scriptural backing IS just personal opinion. Since scripture mentions nothing about miracles of gold or gems, there is no objective yardstick to go by.

People mustn't just blindly accept every miracle that others claim, this is how cults get started. We are to "test each spirit to see if it is from God". Genuine miracles can stand to be scrutinized, parlor tricks cannot.
---StrongAxe on 5/21/08

Thanks Rita ... I agree that unless God shows a rweason for it, it seems to be shwmanship on the aprt of the preacher, whom I would then distrust!!!

No Alan, not to my knowledge. I saw one persons hands an hour after the service with a few tiny flecks of something gold(en) but it was anyone's guess what it really was and no-one knew how it got there.I personally don't know whether to think that it was trickery or demonic. Many felt it was of God but I tend to think that if God did that there would have been some message or further happening to show the whole point of it. He gave us the rainbow as a 'sign' but also gave an explanation (reason) for it.
---RitaH on 5/21/08

You can tell people are just giving their opinions here and not bearing witness with what the Holy Spirit is doing. These signs and wonders have deep meanings. I heard the anointed man of God say the reason God is giving people Gold teeth is because He wants to deal with the purity of people's mouths and stop the judgements that are coming against man and against God. Maybe you folks should pray for a gold tooth? Let your spirit bear witness with God's Holy Spirit to see if these things are true.

Hello Alan, I am the original Mark V. I see someone here has answered you with my name. I believe you can tell who I am and we have had many discussions before. I see this Mark answering you and I was hoping he would change his name somehow, but if he continues I will change mine. Sorry for the confusion.

I agree with the moderator, we are living in the end times and many false christs are running around deceiving many. We cant trust our eyes, because satan can work miracles...I think we must be firmly grounded in scripture. The word of God is our only safety.

Was the gold dust confirmed to be gold dust?
Did anyone take any home?
& As you say, what was the point? If God gave something of value, maybe that couyld be a miracle.
But what you describe seems more like a conjuring trick.
---alan_of_UK on 5/20/08

Alan, 1. These things happen in the U.K. also. I personally know of just one such happening but I wasn't there. Several of my friends and one relative were there when 'supposed' gold dust appeared on their hands. They didn't see if falling from the ceiling or anything like that - it just appeared on the hands of most of the congregation. They had a visiting American speaker at the time who was very involved in this sort of thing.
---RitaH on 5/20/08

2. The people I knew were very excited about it but I upset them by saying "Why, what's the point?" I could not understand why, if God wanted to tell them something through this, He had to wait until this visiting preacher arrived. Why not just any Sunday in the year or privately in their own homes any day of the week. Also what WAS it telling them because none of them knew why it had happened at all and they were given no explanation.

3. If someone desperately needed dental work and couldn't afford it I would say it would be miracle if their tooth suddenly became whole again but I would question a gold filling (a whole tooth is far better than a filled one, even gold-filled). What good is gold dust on the hand which washes away? Surely there has to be some point to these miraculous happenings. If not, they are fake for sure, probably demonic.
---RitaH on 5/20/08

The reason why many miracles can be seen as being offensive, is that many of them are not genuine miracles, but fakes. When a preacher who claims to have a spiritual gift is shown to be using fakery, he brings his own reputation into reproach, but also brings reproach on the Church, on God, and on miracles in general.

It becomes a case of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. When people become disillusioned by enough fakery, they won't recognize a genuine miracle when it hits them in the face.

why are miracles such a stumbling block to Christians...why does this offend so many? Jesus healed and did miracles all through His ministry...why wouldn't this be common place today? It is wierd to me that so many are offended by signs and miracles. Is it offending to read about it in the bible?

I believe God can do all He wants but I don't believe any of what I see on TV or in large gatherings by the evangelists.

All the "miracles" are theatrical acts. Did anyone blind got his sight restored? Did any missing limb grow on stage?

Only specific "miracles" occur and the mircale worker leaves the room with stacks of money in his pocket. Grow up, people.

Well,I have never been anywhere where this happened but I'm wondering.God created us wpuldn't it be more like Him to give the person a brand new intact tooth? I really doubt the devil could make gold or silver either though.I would have to see it myself and probably in a relative or close friend.
---shirley on 5/17/08

A gold filling can be put in before service, and concealed from the people in general until after the miracle has been claimed. Also, God is quite able to simply make a tooth new, with no filling. So, why would He put gold in there, seeing He can put real tooth in there (o: *Honesty* about this "might" be the miracle to seek (o:

Alan of UK, I am tired of the UK skit. It doesn't work for me.

Gold fillings in teeth, are they all false miracles? I don't know why they're gold instead of enamel, maybe it has something to do with streets of gold. Can we really say they are false?

Hi Mark,

Yes, they are false miracles. Over time the people begin to follow and chase after the counterfeit wonders instead of Christ. I saw these same false miracles in historic Rome with altars made to them from 100s of years ago. Satan's tricks never change.
---Moderator on 5/16/08

I've seen God's prophets with Gold Dust on them and I've seen the gemstones and the gold fillings - these are God's anointed. I've witnessed many things they are doing and they are God's remmant-Father God is showing signs and wonders for believers as well as to unbelievers. Your spirit should bear witness that they are NOT false prophets. Trust the Holy Spirit in you to "verify" they are walking in Truth and are bearing good fruit. Please don't judge them, I know them, they are God's people.
---donna8365 on 5/15/08

#2 of 2 Please ask Father God if they are His People or not. It's easy to judge things when we are not fully walking IN the Spirit. God is a Supernatural God and does Supernatural things. Please watch Sid Roth's show. He is one of God's Jewish Born Again folks who have these people on his program. Your Spirit should bear witness to the truth. It's very easy to judge, it's harder to believe. The carnal mind cannot comprehend the things of the Spirit of God because they are spiritually appraised.
---donna8365 on 5/15/08

Moderator - what do you think about the gold dust, gemstones, gold fillings?
Do you really believe they're false? These gold fillings are showing in the mouthes of poor people that cannot afford any dental work, mouthes with missing teeth. Do you really believe it's all false?
