do not get me started on that. its a joke or it was a joke. please tell me why so many folks do this, give all there money to
men of god? trust me when it all comes down to it you will pay in hell. you do one thing at church and after you are as mean as a snake. you go to other lands to help those folks learn about god. you clean your own back yeard up first, not live in your big homes dirve your nice cars fancy cloths, and most folks in your church can't buy food, but you tell them to give there last few bucks to you and god will see them through. you folks make me sick. and trust it makes god sick to. have fun in your hell that you made after death.

Recently a pastor who I know told me about a great revival in Florida -- I am not commenting on the revival but in these materilaistic days I am reminded of Jude 3 : " .. we must contend for the faith once delivered to the saints ..". Again Jude 6," And the angels who did not keep their first estate." 2) Jude 11 -" ...for they have gone in the way of Cain , have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah." If this revival is from God our Lord it will flourish but if not after some time it will die by itself. Praise the Lord and his Holy name

i am an old fashioned pentecostal who has difficulties with these new manifestations i.e dust, teeth, feathers what is the point? but personallyand as a church have been praying and fasting for revival and god to move. had bobby sullivan my husband and myself experienced god falling, shaking, laughing. why would god allow something counterfeit/satanic to happen me, his child, when i am true?

Todd Bentley seems to have removed much of what he had put on the internet. He seems to now be denying what he said about angel Emma. How is it that so many people still follow this man and are taken in by his false teachings. Do you think he ever was a Christian and that he has been greatly deceived himself or do you think he was fake from the start?
---RitaH on 7/23/08

In the first place it is not testing the spirits we should be doing. It is testing as to whether the living God lives in a person. This is what testing the spirit means. Does the living God live in the preacher. Who is capable of doing this, the unbelievers? No! Only God's people has this ability. and even at that, we can be fooled. "When in doubt ask God".
---catherine on 7/16/08

All true Christians need to test the spirits as instructed by the Bible. Why all the emphasis on Angels ? Why do people attending the revival appear to be in a stupor or drunken state ? Why do people make animal noises ? All of these are obvious signs that this is a FALSE revival. Get a clue people !
---Al_Uminum on 7/15/08

Todd Bentley is "CHAFF" & all who follow his false doctrine will burn in unquenchable fire.
---Leon on 7/14/08

Have any of you watched or attended more than one meeting from Lakeland? I have not attended in person.I have however watched online for weeks. Ive seen Jesus lifted up.

No you saw Satan and his demons working miracles ...this is the fascinating the lure of revivals people want MAGIC

you "see" ...what do you "hear" is by the WORD of God you make discernments as to what is true or false

taken away by this false spirit they are unable to realize "revivals" are money making profit centers for the preachers two revivals will ever have the same message ...just the same magic tricks by Satan
---Rhonda on 7/10/08

Todd Bentley is a FALSE prophet. What does people barking like dogs, clucking like chickens and conversing with Emma the angel, have to do with a TRUE move of GOD ? NOTHING !
---Jim_Nasium on 7/10/08

Tom you are right. We do have to be careful. We, Christians, must guard our faith like we would or better than anything which is precious to us. Absolutely! It does not hurt to have some kind of fear in this area.
---catherine on 7/10/08

I am very curious about all the posts Ive read so far. Have any of you watched or attended more than one meeting from Lakeland? I have not attended in person.I have however watched online for weeks. Ive seen Jesus lifted up. Ive heard of angels but not seen them worshiped.
Ive seen people healed. Ive seen blind eyes opened. Ive seen souls saved. btw those saved were taken aside and counseled.
My pastor has been there. Our church has never been better. enough said.
---paul on 7/10/08

Many people believe that the Lakeland Revival is of God because of the "signs and wonders" Religions other than Christianity have also had faith healers that performed miraculous signs and healings. God allows these things to occur to weed out the chaff from the wheat. Christians who follow after the miraculous lack discernment and need to seek a closer relationship to God through His Word so that they will not be deceived by false teachers such as Todd Bentley. Run from this false move it can only harm your faith.
---Tom on 7/10/08

Revivals are one man missions wanting power fame money ...each given a "message" from God ...their "understanding" of scripture is opinion

most who attend revivals of one man IGNORE the plain truth that up the street, around the corner, two towns over and all across the globe revivals are headed up by different men ...each man "hearing" a different message "from God" ..and even if you add up all these "messages" they never speak the same thing

if any "revival" were from God then the messages would be united

the only "unity" comes from the magic show
---Rhonda on 7/9/08

When Christ ascended to heaven to be with God The Father it was LAST time He was seen ...nothing in scripture supports Christ being "seen" by anyone other than Apostles until HE returns to earth to setup His Kingdom ...many scriptures warning of the end times when there will be many false ministers, and those claiming look here I saw Christ

scripture is VERY clear we have faith on Christ by the Word of the Apostles who saw Christ
---Rhonda on 7/8/08

I am curious, how is the family of God being built here? Not in numbers but in discipleship? How is it they come together and use their gifts? Who is seeing to it that any of these folks are being connected to the living body of Christ in a life sustaining way?

How is it actually Jesus if the community life Christians are called to, is no where in view?

They will know you are mine by your love one to another.
---Reddsta on 7/9/08

I believe in angels and that it is even possible one could speak to us but if it did and it was from God (remember there are fallen angels too) it would speak the holy doctorine gospel and not pervert it.He would glorify Jesus only.Remember our good teacher Paul warned us about false angels.Enough said!

Marcia, pay particular attention to this verse in the RSV (Colossians 2:18). God is warning that false prophets will encourage the "worship of angels". The god of confusion has been confusing the thoughts of Christians all throughout history (the "strong delusion" is not a furure event). After all that God has done for us, God will still let us use our free will to truly follow and love Him or choose to believe a lie, He is a jealous God. If we choose to follow angels and false prophets instead of HIM, He will let us go our way. We shouldn't just have FAITH in God, we should LOVE Him ("the GREATEST of these", 1 Corinthians 13:13)...God is LOVE.
---more_excellent_way on 7/3/08

We must learn the "depths of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10). The person at the well wanted MORE than what was written about the Messiah ("living water", John 4:11, 7:38, Revelation 7:16) and sought living WATER baptism (she recognized Jesus as "MESSIAH" while the disciples still called Him "Rabbi").

This is the water that flowed from Christ's side at the cross. God wants us to have a peaceful and loving character so that His spirit can be the guarantee of our salvation (2 Corinthians 1:22, 5:5, Ephesians 1:14) and our conscience can be purified also (2 Corinthians 9:7 and Philemon verse 14).
---more_excellent_way on 7/3/08

Moderator I see where you are coming from, but pertaining to the Lakeland revival, that is far fetched. What seriously irritates me is when "Christians" form an opinion & call something a "false teaching", "demonic", "not of God", etc. w/o even knowing what is going on or even a willingness to find out. That's why I like the saying, "don't knock til you try it". Too many "Christians" have been in church so long that they have formed opinions, ideas, habits, & beliefs. Because of that they disagree when God is doing a something. It's like the folks in 1Corinthians 1:12-14.
---Rickey on 7/2/08

Moderator, thank you for that word of wisdom.

I agree with you 100%.

While researching the photographic memory as a result of severe trauma or abuse, how the mind splits or fragments into MPD, the Holy Spirit can give you a vision of Jesus Christ or give you a word from God to pull you through horrible experiences. Time after time. It happens to prisoners of war, too.

God does not leave His children without a way of escape, or to prevent someone's mind from going insane.

First let me say that I am very sorry that you went through that experience as a child and most of us can not even begin to understand the pain you went through. Might I suggest that you had a vision of Jesus not a physical Jesus appear to you, otherwise all in the room would have seen Him and stopped their abuse. The mind does very strange things in times of extreme abuse. Out of respect for your situation and not to get off of the Lakeland false revival, I will not make anymore comments.
---Moderator on 7/2/08

Well then...I guess you won't believe it when I tell you that Jesus appeared to me, when I was a child and being tortured during a satanic ritual abuse situation. He was there and He held me and comforted me. But you would say it that was a lie too or possibly demonic. Of course, during satanic ritual abuse, satan always sends an "imitation" Jesus to comfort the victim. Actually that experience with Jesus was a very important part of my salvation experience and me coming to believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior (me being a Jew). Knowing that Jesus was with me even as child, when I was still a Jew. As the Word says...they overcame by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their Testimony. No one can take your testimony away from you.
---Holly4jc on 7/2/08

I have also heard the same "STORIES" which I heard on TBN. Enough said.
---Moderator on 7/1/08

Marcia...first of all...I am not Frances. And the point I was making is that Jesus has been appearing to Muslims in Muslim countries, in places where it is very unlikely that they would ever get to hear the gospel. Yes...blessed are those who have believed and not seen...but there are those who have seen Jesus. Didn't He walk the earth for 33+ years? Those people have seen. And it is believed that when the OT speaks of the "Angel of the Lord" appearing, that it is actually speaking of a pre-incarnate Jesus who appeared.

No way, however an angel of light or demon could fit the bill. Christians need to test the spirit ie does it line up with the Word of God.
---Moderator on 7/1/08

Moderator, do you believe Jesus Christ is appearing to unbelievers everywhere?

John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time...
The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

John 6:36 But I have said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.

John 20:29 "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

frances, I see where much of the information that you've been sharing here is coming from.
---Marcia on 7/1/08

I have heard numerous stories of people in Muslim countries being visited by Jesus in their own home and because of it, they have become Christians/believers. Jesus can appear to whomever He chooses, if it is for His glory.
---Holly4jc on 7/1/08

I was actually hoping for frances to respond.
I wanted to ask her if she was familiar with "Trance Formation" from her studies... not to be confused with transformation that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Rickey, do some further research. If you are convinced this is from God and it's for you, I don't think anything short of God speaking to you personally about it would convince you otherwise.

When the speaker roars like a lion and the audience bleats like sheep, getting down on all fours - who do you think likes nothing better than to humiliate and discredit a Christian by any means possible?

Barking dogs, crowing roosters, clucking chickens...can you imagine Jesus Christ or any of His disciples doing that while He walked the earth?

What do you think would have happened to Him?
The devil might have tried to mess up God's perfect plan and timing for Jesus Christ. He couldn't do it then, so why should we allow it now? Jesus Christ said we would not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. He gave us His authority and we need to use it now.
---Marcia on 7/1/08

Do you think demonic visitations and demonic manifestations are Godly? These demons are mocking God by having men which are made in God's image act like animals such as dogs, lions and chickens. I have seen men put on dog collars during these types of demonic revivals and then walk on all four on stages while barking. How in the world could you believe this honors God?
---Moderator on 7/1/08

Why knock it? Throughout my time visiting this site I have always found folks who oppose something that they don't agree with. Many oppose it due to the fact that they aren't seeing in his/her own life, never heard of it(although it's in the bible), have been taught that "it's of the devil", etc. I could go on and on. If it's of the devil then he is healing a lot of people & is helping God out.
Why not just search the scriptures, take off the religious/denominational glasses, & see what the word of God says. Is God a liar?
---Rickey on 7/1/08

Moderator: Photographic memory can occur in someone that has been severely abused, also may develop MPD, multiple personality disorder, brain's survival technique - going into a trance like state to avoid insanity.

Many thought all photographic memory ability was demon possession before science proved that wrong.

But there are the encounters with demons that bring about supernatural knowledge and a photographic memory that did not exist before the demonic encounter. The devil does have knowledge and how much is transferred, can be transferred, would only be known to God. Along with a photographic memory, there are the psychic abilities and other manifestations that we associate with the occult.

I heed your warning, and limit any exposure to these types of meetings or those that now have their "trance formation". They are more than willing to share any and all information, but it is also demonic and serves no purpose to the well being of a Christian. It's certainly not recommended for the vulnerable or new Christian.

It's very possible that CN has encountered these transformed people over the years. I have learned that some are compulsively driven to the point of becoming true religious fanatics. Religion provides their photographic memory an outlet and an endless source of recreation for the mind.
---Marcia on 6/30/08

Very good information. I have never heard the photographic memory comment before. Just curious do you have more information on that topic?
---Moderator on 6/30/08

After deliverance, photographic memory, supernatural knowledge goes for those possessed by a demon.

Those longing for angels and Jesus Christ in their bedrooms, Moderator informed, they're not meeting Jesus. He is still seated at the right hand of God.

TB did not say Angel Emma today. He said Jesus Christ was "behind" him when he met him. Why would Jesus stand behind someone?

TB started or wanted to start shaking his head violently back and forth, but managed to tame it for the program. Would you call that manifesting? Jesus Christ, His disciples did not violently shaking their heads back and forth, manifesting animals in their encounters with one soul. Can you imagine if they had?
---Marcia on 6/30/08

the lakeland revival is sure nough a revival. those there could not possibly know the scriptures. God is not the author of confusion and those being slain in the spirit are in confusion. I emplore all to compare his preaching to the written word of God. It does not line up with scripture.a revival of demonic spirits

Moderator: People have written here, they too were visited by Jesus Christ, in person. I've been researching about what happens when someone comes into contact with a fallen angel or satan himself. Oft times there is a "transference", that person can receive a photographic memory that was never present before the encounter with a demon, fallen angel or the devil. They also begin to manifest supernatural knowledge that they never had before. Most assume that this is a gift from God and never question what they've received after their encounter.

This is the danger you've been warning us about, making contact, receiving transference through these type of encounters with those that are touched by a demon.
---Marcia on 6/30/08

Moderator: He said, when a man manifested himself like a lamb, the anointing fell over the crowd. The "atmosphere" changed immediately.

{We know what the prince of the power of the air is capable of changing the atmosphere.}

He also said he felt the urge to roar like a lion and went with it. When he roared like a lion and the other man behaved like a lamb, I assumed it was on all fours, bleating like sheep, the anointing fell and the meeting went wild.

When people claim that Jesus is appearing to them in their rooms, when He is seated at the right hand of God and the promises of God apply "equally" to His children....when Jesus comes back, it will not be to a select few...thank you.
---Marcia on 6/30/08

Yes, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and not visting people in person. Todd seems to slightly change his story depending on who he is telling it to. Sometimes it's the angel Emma and other times it's Jesus. I believe he truly was visited due to the types of demonic occurences at his false revival. However, the visit was from a fallen angel or ie a demon.

How did he justify making man whom is made in God's image turning into a lion, chicken or a dog?
---Moderator on 6/30/08

Moderator, I caught an interview with TB this morning on TV. I prayed before I watched it.

He was sharing reasons for roaring like a lion or behaving as a sheep, how anointing falls when those manifestations are seen by the crowds.

TB shared about how his ministry began when Jesus Christ appeared behind him in his room.
He did not mention the Angel Emma today.

Moderator, this question is for you.

Does Jesus Christ appear in His person today on earth to others?
Or as the word says, Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

Does Jesus appear today on earth to some, or is He coming back at the second coming for all those who belong to Him.

Thank you for helping clear this up.

All well said. I also agree that many Christians want to see miracles so bad that they forget to test the spirits. Everyone should remember Moses in the King's court when both Moses and the chief magicians turned the rods into snakes. Both performed a miracle, but from different spirits.
---Moderator on 6/11/08

I think that there are people claiming that Jesus Christ appears to them, once or maybe more, that have never tested or thought of questioning who or what is appearing to them.
Same for all angelic appearances.
The bible tells us that we are to be led of the Holy Spirit and not communing with angels. Some have met strangers, angels unaware, but that's not to be confused with communing with angels on a daily, first name basis. Beckoning them into your bedroom or meeting or revival.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

Most Christians want a true revival of God.
They want to see people come forward and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We want to see people set free and fall in love with Jesus Christ for the rest of their lives.

The bible says that miracles, signs and wonders will follow those that believe.

But we can't want them so much that we work them up in the flesh, opening doors to demons instead of angels - that are more than willing to help us see what we want to see so badly.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

I followed through with my homework assignment and I'm sad.
Todd B. came out of a tough background. He gave his life to Jesus and he wanted to see miracles, signs and wonders so badly, that something disguised as an angel of light showed up. We are to be led of the Holy Spirit. When we are, all glory and honor and power is given to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The common thread in the emergent movement is to be 'touched by an angel'. The ministry begins with an angelic impartation.

Why are they not being led of the Holy Spirit, why are they communing with angels?

I studied further, and found the Angel Moroni impartation extremely similar. I've never believed that an angel appeared to Joseph Smith, a fabrication. But I'm rethinking that, as the accounts are incredibly similar. I found this....see if it sounds like Angel Emma.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

"While I was in the act of calling upon God, I discovered a light appearing in my room, which continued to increase until the room was lighter than at noonday, when immediately a personage appeared at my bedside, standing in the air, for his feet did not touch the floor. "He had on a loose robe of most exquisite whiteness. It was a whiteness beyond anything earthly I had ever seen, nor do I believe that any earthly thing could be made to appear so exceedingly white and brilliant."
---Marcia on 6/11/08

More Angel Moroni impartation to Joseph Smith...
"His hands were naked, and his arms also, a little above the wrist, so, also, were his feet naked, as were his legs, a little above the ankles. His head and neck were also bare. I could discover that he had no other clothing on but this robe, as it was open, so that I could see into his bosom. "Not only was his robe exceedingly white, but his whole person was glorious beyond description, and his countenance truly like lightning."
---Marcia on 6/11/08

"The room was exceedingly light, but not so very bright as immediately around his person. When I first looked upon him, I was afraid, but the fear soon left"

Angel Emma account....

".. in walks an angel. As I stared at this angel, angel appeared to be floating a couple of inches off the floor emitting brilliant light and colors. The angel began walking up and down the aisles of the church putting gold dust on people. God, what is happening? I asked. The Lord answered:
---Marcia on 6/11/08

Angel Emma account....

cont...This angel is releasing the gold, which is both the revelation and the financial breakthrough that I am bringing into this church. I want you to prophecy that the angels appearance is a sign that I am endorsing and releasing a prophetic spirit in the church. ... Within three weeks of that visitation, the church had given me the biggest offering I had ever received to that point in my ministry.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

Remarkable similarities there, is there not?

Prosperity came along with angelic impartation. Angel Moroni has brought a great deal of prosperity to the LDS church.

God's Word says there is nothing new under the sun. Angelic impartations have been happening since the Garden of Eden, have they not? Why would we expect any immunity from angels coming disguised as light?
---Marcia on 6/11/08

If you've been touched by an angel, and that angel cannot say that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, you are talking with satan himself or a demon.

That's your test. If you've seen an angel that appeared as what you think Jesus Christ might look like in your bedroom, it may not have been Jesus Christ.
I'm certain that satan would like nothing better than to disguise himself as Jesus Christ, posing as a portrait or artist's rendition of what we think Jesus Christ might actually look like.

I've been praying for Todd B., also.

Only the devil reminds us of our past sins, continually throwing them in our face. He is the accuser of the brethern.

I think there is a fine line between becoming in alignment with the accuser of the brethern and exposing truth. It's a fine line to walk. We are to use our God given discernment to rightly divide God's Word, exposing truth from lies.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

I've taken some lessons from the Moderator. He's not mean but sincerely wants to expose truth from false.

There are many sites of a highly critical and judgmental nature that cut people into ribbons - all for the sake of Christianity.
I don't believe in those type of accuser of the brethern sites, they remind me of the Reverend Phelps of hate, type of Christianity.
---Marcia on 6/11/08

Moderator has a way of warning others without being cruel. Rev. Phelps is filled with hate, hatred is his platform.

Hateful judgment of others is as demonic as a false move of God.
God tells us to tell the truth in love. If we fall out of love, we come off sounding unsanctified and hatefully judgmental.

This is the immersion of yet another cult among the many surfacing now. More deception..I see it as a sign of the nearness of Christ's return. It looks like a worship of angels which we are warned against. To me, it is not subtle at all. I will be in prayer for those who could be duped by this move. Interesting stuff...people are looking for miracles and are spiritually desperate.

The name Emma (Em-ah) is a popular name of Old German origin. The name means Universal or complete and may signify a person with a well developed personality, the name seems to have derived from the Old German name Irmen or Irma. The variants are Emily and Emmanuella.

Emmanuel - It is a word in Hebrew which means God is with us
---Marcia on 6/10/08

How strange, I've never heard of an Angel called Emma, and there is no scripture to back up any such female angels, there are only angels who were men, like Gabriel, and Michael, or Wormwood, or is it Woodworm? I do not talk ill of Todd Bentley, but I pray that the truth will reveal itself. I don't agree with how he would kick someone in the face, and say that God told him to do that, I believe he is deceived and should line up his ministry with the Word of God so he could be in line with the Word.

The Moderator is RIGHT! Todd Bently is a FALSE....WHATEVER! He "cannot" coherently read from the Holy Scriptures, but can SUDDENLY and spritely ad lib the long list of his "accomplishments" and how much "GOD blessed him" with financial and material prosperity. I do not Judge a revival by the signs that I see, there are always strange signs, every move of God all through history has had neck popping, stange sounds, rolling on the floor, tounge talking, healing and so on. The word says signs shall follow those that believe and it does not list them. The revival can be real and God doing his work for those who need it, the minister might be the devil himself but Jesus can use him and dispose of him later.

Revival is for the church not the world the world needs salvation you cannot revive something that is dead, it has to be raised from the dead first. You can judge a minister by his fruit not the signs following him. We know that Jesus said there would be people doing his ministry but he would not know them. but the works they did would be mighty.
The Lakeland thing is of God if only one person is saved out of it.

Absolutely. I also believe in prayer, fasting and reading the Word of God so that I am not deceived. These are cornerstone actions of any believer.

I respectively ask you to look for the false revival information as much as you have looked to believe the revival is of God. The information directly from Bentley is all over the net in his own words and live videos directly from the false revival floor. Please pray and fast before watching any videos as they are EXTREMELY demonic. Ask God to tell you the truth. This stuff is very straighforward demonic unless you have already allowed demonic influence. I am respectively concerned for you.
