Hopeless? No, GOD provides two or more scriptural witnesses for every question. It does free you from the doctrinal confusions of the day but at a price. They cannot tolerate you or your scriptural witnesses now.

Too many preachers are misleadng the people in believeing that they are saved, when indeed God ain't saved them. And these people end-up in hell, wondering why am I in this place. As God said to me, "no unbeliever believes that he or she are going to go to hell". I am sure they get enough support, and God takes their last breath, as these people are being cuddled right into hell. How sad that is....I don't know what God is going to do with His own preachers in this mess. I wish I knew. Forget the unbelieving ones.

soul winning strategies are inspired by Satan, he seeks to deceive many into believing by their works (soul winning strategies) they can bring people to God, and behind this deception is idea God is loosing the battle to Satan. Apostles and the Lord never taught soul winning. If you are deceived into the doctrine of devils called soul winning you are not a follower of the Lord Jesus.
It is the Father in Heaven who calls people to him John 6:44,65
Not one verse suggests we should go out and find people for the Father in Heaven.

MIC: "I am RCC..."
I'm sorry. I pray that you learn the truth before you die.
RCC is like all other denominations having their own traditions, ways of living, and interpretations of the Bible. All denominations are man-made created by Satan himself to cause confusion. This is the great deception as spoken of in Scripture. It's these denominations that cause division among Christians. Christians bicker like little children saying "my father is better than yours." There is no harmony among Christians today. There is no strong spiritual foundation among Christians today. There is no "one another" and "each other" among Christians today.

MIC: "Bring Satan/Devil into the picture and then foist it on others."
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Mic and Nana, Your comments give me a cause for answering. I could not have answered all the questions and doctrines if it wasn't for all three of you. It helped me learn more about the RCC, more about what they study, teach, and their history. It has increased my faith in Christ. One, that only His word has authority, Two, more faith in the sufficiency of Christ death on the Cross. There is no vendetta in my heart for any of you. I don't even know you. I don't speak against you.
Your support for Eloy speaks for itself what kind of people you prefer. People prayed for me when I was a member of the RCC and God brought light to my heart through the True gospel of Christ. I will also pray for all of you.

You say, "... my comment of Praise be to God" offended you that much, it is because you don't speak for God." and "... those who speak with the devil in there hearts. your own actions condemns you." Hehe, maybe someday you'll make sense.
Let me interpret what you said, since you are not aware of what you are saying! First you say, "Emcee/Mic/ Nana, you are a thorn in my side", then you finish by saying "Praise be to God that He brings those thorn's to our side to keep us from been prideful." I only agreed and cited Scripture showing God's stance against pride. Where is the anger and who is the one
bringing the "devil" into it?

I think the best soul-winning strategy depends on the soul you are trying to win. I'd let God lead.
On a side note, the television show "The Way of the Master" with Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort is an amazing tool to teach Christians how to evangelize! Check it out! :-)

Mic, I stand on the word of God and as humble as I can be before Him. I have nothing worth saving in me, but for the Grace of God and His mercy on me I am saved. No good deeds will ever save, no baptism will ever save me, no amount of prayers to saints or Mary will save me, only by the Grace and mercy of God I can be save. I deserved death but He had mercy on me. So I don't have pride in myself, but do have pride in that Christ is my Lord and Savior. And I will keep speaking for Him so that others will know the Truth and the Truth will set them free from their bondage.
---Mark_V. on 9/20/08|
Nana or whoever you are, my comment of Praise be to God" offended you that much, it is because you don't speak for God. If you want to change what is in your heart, it can still happen for we don't know the day or hour we will die. I have made my committment to defend the Word of God against any false doctrines that lead people away from Christ.

Mima, I know from many past post you have posted about the many things you are doing. You have told us of many. But you have to realize that there is no strategies to winning souls. The Gospel is the only way that anyone who is lost will come to Christ. And even when you give the gospel there is no quarantee they will. God has to draw them to Himself, and when He does you present the Gospel of salvation. They have to believe what you are going to teach them. Rhonda is correct and so are others. I believe what this questions does is to compare who is doing more then the other. people like Mic/Emcee, laugh at those who discuss such things because he figures they have many ways to come to Christ in the RCC that can not fail, even purgatory.
---MarkV. on 9/16/08|
I totally agree with this statement." "Without the Spirit no souls could be won. We could talk all we want, have parties, events, give food away, and no souls will be won unless the Spirit wins them. I believe that the main thing to remember is that we can do nothing without Christ. Only through His power, for everything good comes from above. The glory goes to God."
In light of the above statement I ask you to "check yourself".
---mima on 9/16/08|
Last Thursday while witnessing to a couple, the main begin to say a prayer with me when his wife said I can't say that. To which I replied you cannot say it because Satan is holding you from praying. I then said, the Holy Spirit is witnessing to you right now and you are refusing that witness, immediately her countenance changed at which time we started praying again (her husband and I) and then she began to pray with us. Immediately after the prayer she became very happy, tried to shake my hand off, her husband was very happy, and she announced that she believed she had gotten saved.
---mima on 9/16/08|
Josef, I believe you are correct on the passage. It is speaking about the Spirit winning souls through the believer that has the Spirit. Without the Spirit no souls could be won. We could talk all we want, have parties, events, give food away, and no souls will be won unless the Spirit wins them. I believe that the main thing to remember is that we can do nothing without Christ. Only through His power, for everything good comes from above. The glory goes to God. When someone brags that he is doing this for God and that for God, he is boasting in his ability and not the Lords in his life. He wants to in someway take credit, even if its very small. Complete humbleness is very hard for humans.

Thank you Richard:-Excellent advice but most all here you will note claim Fullness of the Holy Spirit. But they are not in accord with the teachings and preachings of Jesus word. hence Jesus's edict"a house divided against itself cannot stand "But they make it so.
---MIC on 9/15/08|
I have been in the ministry for just over 33 years,It seems to me in my experience that if you try to force the issue this drives them further away from your intended destination. I am an advocate of allowing the Holy Spirit to draw them to the proper place spiritually, and the person doing the witnessing should be in tune with the spirit and have the word of God instilled in their heart in order to cause all the excuses used to seem unimportant when compared to salvation.
---Richard on 9/15/08|
Josef, thanks for the encouragement because I am a preacher and a soul winner. Jesus gives us the power of His Holy Spirit to be witnesses, and especially lights to a dying sinful world. It is not just the preacher's job to give witness, but all believers as well. The blind man in St. John chapter 9 answered boldly as a witness of Jesus healing him and didn't leave it up to a preacher. In St. John chapter 4, verses 7-29 we see after the woman at the well had an encounter with Jesus, she went into the city and witnessed about HIM. Nowhere does it say they were preachers. This doesn't exclude the job of an evangelist, pastor or teacher, but we are all included in sharing the good news! God Bless You!
---theresa on 8/12/08|
Theresa, this is not an attempt to correct you, however I would like for you to consider this "What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, 'This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent'. For It is God which works in you both to 'will' and to 'do' [His] good pleasure." John 6:28,29>Phil. 2:13 "No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. It is written in the prophets, they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and hath learned of the Father, comes unto Me." John 6:44,45 The lost do need a preacher dear heart, so preach on.

In I Corinthians chapter 9, verses 19-22 Paul talks of becoming all things to all men that he might save some.Considering we as Christians will be judged according to our works for rewards or none, per I Corinthians chapter 3, verses 11-15, it is us allowing the Holy Spirit within us to lead and guide us, but we will act in obedience, so yes, it is us by the leading of the Holy Spirit who will win souls if we choose to. Also, Jesus, as I stated previously, told the disciples he would make "them" fishers of men. More Christians should not only intercede in prayer for souls to come to the Lord, but ask for guidance from the Lord on how to lead them to HIM.
---theresa on 8/7/08|
"Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE." Seems to make this statement,"No man can "win" a soul." Incorrect." Yes it does,
However I would ask you Mima, Who actually "winneth" (Strong's - #3947 'Laqach' "To take, accept, bring, buy, carry away, drawn, fetch, get, infold, place, receive, reserve, seize, send for, take (away, ing, up) use, win) souls?
Do you honestly think that this verse can be attributed to man? Or is it more applicable to The Holy Spirit who works in and through man?
---Josef on 8/7/08|
Proverbs chapter 11, verse 30 says "..he that winneth souls is wise." In Matthew chapter 4, verse 19 Jesus says, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." In Acts chapter 1, verse 8 Jesus speaks again saying,"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghose is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me...." God uses us as His "lights" to a dying world and as soul winners, witnesses and fishers of men to tell people who don't know Him about Him! In Acts chapter 8, verses 26-39 Phillip the evangelist was used so by God to bring the Ethiopian eunuch to the saving knowledge of Christ, he was joined to his chariot and ended up leading him to Christ and baptizing him!
---theresa on 8/3/08|
Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE." Seems to make this statement,"No man can "win" a soul." Incorrect.
---Mima on 8/3/08|
"What are soul winning strategies?" No man can "win" a soul. The most we can accomplish is a demonstration of a soul humbled to test, prove and approve the Father's method of operation. To allow for a decrease in our own carnal efforts, so that He may increase His work in and through us. As we lift Him up in all we do and say, He will draw all men He brings into contact with us, to Himself. We should always be open to and ready to give an answer to anyone who may inquire concerning the hope of salvation that we ourselves embrace.
---Josef on 8/1/08|
I honesty believe we must demonstrate our sincere love and concern first. No one cares how much we know until they know how much we care. It may take a long time to win their confidence and friendship. You may have to go out of your way a long way so they trust that you have no ulterior motives. I start by praying GOD will prepare their heart, and open the door before I attempt to witness. HE will give me opportunity when HE has them prepared. Be patient and wait upon the LORD, and be prepared with His Word. Remember it's NOT our word, but God's that He'll bless. "MY WORD...will not return void..."
---Eloia on 7/31/08|
I've seen Preachers prey upon people whom has lost a loved one and they keep on and on about the deceased until that person comes to the altar. Then they will say it doesn't matter what reason they came to the altar, just as long as they come. Well that isn't true. If the spirit of God isn't convicting them of their sins, they are going to the altar for the wrong reasons. If I see lost people in our church, I pray that the Holy Ghost will be all over them making it hard for them to sit in their seat, that they have to come to the altar. My church doesn't play mind games with people's emotions like some churches do. It is best to just pray for their soul and leave it in God's hands.

"For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING to save them that believe."
This verse is talking about the believers ...to save them that believe ...it is not talking about the foolishness of preaching to the unbelievers ...which would be foolish ...I've heard many stories of people who have been approached with "Gods Salesmen" who went along with those who were selling them on being saved to make them go away
the Apostles were not salesmen ...the Apostles commission was a commission from Christ ...there are no Apostles today
if one doesn't know God there is a reason ...God hasn't called them

Trish you do have a strategy is called friendship evangelism practiced by many.
I know of 20-year friendships that have not resulted in any witnessing whatsoever!!!!
---Rhonda many people feel that way. But I always wonder how to reconcile your view with this verse first Corinthians 1:21
"For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the FOOLISHNESS OF PREACHING to save them that believe." This verse seems to imply or teach that someone supposed to say something.
---Mima on 7/24/08|
I was taught this in Evangelism class. You ask the person, "If you were to die today, where would you go?" Heaven or Hell?
If they say Heaven, then ask them WHY they believe that. Most folks will say because they are a good person and treat people nicely, etc.,
That's when you give them the Gospel...that Jesus is the ONLY way to get to heaven, and that He died for their sins and gave them access to the Father. Quote some scriptures like, "all have sinned and fell short of the Glory of God" and "repentence is the key to salvation." Then tell them God sent you to them because of His great love for them.
I asked my Uncle that question, and six months later he died.
---donna8365 on 7/24/08|
I don't have a strategy, because it is not my job to win their souls. The first two commandments are to love God and to love our neighbor. I love people, and put myself in their lives in genuine, caring ways. I do things for them, and care for them, and help them, and love them as the Lord shows me how. As a friendship develops, I then seek opportunities to share my love for Jesus with them, and it is as natural as sharing a cup of water with a thirsty person on a hot day.

There are no "soul winning strategies" ...at least not by Gods Holy Bible
John 6:44,65 & 14:6 ....only God calls
Many professing christians walk up to someone believing they have a "strategy" for winning their soul which directly contradicts Gods Plain Truth.
When God does the calling these people are guided by God to wherever, or whomever God wants them to go
Its amazing how many twist up Gods Word believing they are the ones to go seek out people to save ...remember if God does the calling then He brings them to Himself ...nobody brings anyone to God

Honestly, I just conversate w/ folks. I usually start off asking them what time it is or something like that. Then I ask them if they need prayer for anything. If so, I do pray for them. If they do or don't I still ask them have they been born again/excepted Jesus as his/her Savior. Some have & that's cool. Those who don't I just tell them what the bible says about salvation. Some have been baptized in water & believe that they are saved so I tell them what the bible says about that. Many listen, some don't want to here it.

A Soulwinning strategy would be THE ROMAN ROAD . However you face the danger of losing the one you're witnessing to before you complete the Roman road.
Expository preaching can be a Soulwinning experience(I've had people rushed to the altar to be saved in the middle of a sermon), but rarely so.
The best Soulwinning strategy that I know of is open direct confrontational questioning by the person doing the witnessing.
I would be happy to send you some Soulwinning information I am mima 3783 at Penpals.
