God Wakes Me Up

God has woke me up every morning for about 20 years now with an audible beep by my ear. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to someone?

Moderator - Yes, it is called an alarm clock.

For over 40 years now God has been waking me up at night to pray ... it doesn't happen every night, but most nights it does ... quite often, God will come and gently shake my shoulder ... I've come to know his touch now, so I know its Him ... I'll ask Him,"Who would you like me to pray for?" and He always answers ... sometimes when I sleep, I dream of people I've never met, and the next day I will see them ... God is rising up a remnant of "sons of thunder" watchmen who are sold out with a lifestyle of transformative intercession

You wrote: What's disturbing to me is the lack of "brotherly LOVE". Some are just plain rude and condescending.

Sadly, many people on here are more interested in pushing their own agenda and/or proving that they are right, than answering in love - and such attitudes drive people away. Paul rightly penned this scathing indictment to the church in Romans 2:24: For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

(Also, note that this particular blog topic was abandoned - the last reply to it was 4 years ago today!)
---StrongAxe on 7/26/17

Wow I was going to ask a question for my husband, but after reading some of the " answers" on here, No thank you. What's disturbing to me is the lack of "brotherly LOVE". Some are just plain rude and condescending. Is this Christ's grace or mercy at work? Doesn't sound like it. This right here shows why the church isn't as effective as it should be. This is one example of why souls are not being won for the Lord. What a shame, time to get your minds thinking with the mind of Christ!!

Many people are awaken by God each morning. And many are not. Those who die in their sleep are not awaken in the mornings. Yes, God does wake people up if you really want the right answer. He has woke me up every morning for 67 years. For the past 24 years when He wakes me up, I study His Word to learn more about Him. I thank God for giving me more time then so many others.

willi, I love your poem. when my move is over I will post one that I wrote to my friends who sing. some churches were telling things that were wrong concerning this Godly family. it broke my heart and I wrote a poem. I wrote one when my daughter passed away but they are packed up now. I have to ask, did you write that? I sure love it. thanks for sharing.

Wow! Also it is great that you wake up when God wakes you up at 3 am.

I do, but it is a battle.

I've heard Perry Stone talk about being woken up at 3am, when God has wanted to speak with him. Also, I've heard missionary stories, of people literally getting a visitation from Jesus. With Him knocking on their door, and coming in to sup with them.

be thankful this has never happened to you. these people were visited by demons. dreams produce many effects people believe are happening outside of the dream when they awake and likely that is the cause unless its the real sound of the alarm clock as moderator already said.

Beneath the morning sky's blue sea,
in dumpster alley land,
the mighty man of history
is now the garbage man,
who shoulders-to those big steel bins
to feed his Mighty Mack
who munches down a ton of trash
and says, "That's quite a snack (C:"
Mack plays bins like accordians,
snaps light poles like toothpicks,
in early morn comes roaring in . . .
the world's biggest alarm clock
for this bedroom of homeless poor.
Rats scatter in Mack's lights
like sparks before
a mighty bellows' roar,
as morning softens night.
Then through this straight and narrow way,
we all may freely pass
if we wake up in love gourmet >

Hi, I've been hearing what often sounds like the door-bell, or a single 'ding' like from a triangle or something. I've even gotten up, and checked to see if anyone was at the front door, but no one is. This happens at different times of the night, so I'm not sure what this means.

I've heard Perry Stone talk about being woken up at 3am, when God has wanted to speak with him. Also, I've heard missionary stories, of people literally getting a visitation from Jesus. With Him knocking on their door, and coming in to sup with them. I've never experienced this type of thing before, and I don't really know what the right response is. I've tried praying and praising God, but I don't know how long I should do it for.

I thank him for wake me up and always,I say "now lord, you know I got to be on time today so wake me up at_ _ time & he does! Just not audible voice, I just jump up! Wow!

I believe that God does wake us up. I have been awoken up to pray and also to rise up in the morning because, I have asked Him. Nothing is impossible for those who believe in Christ Jesus. The Spirit of God is Spirit and not of the flesh. My Dear Sister I believe you when you say God wakes you because, if I were to give you my many testimonies you will be amazed also. Some people do not understand because, they need to built a relationship with Him by seeking and believing and not be in a religious ritual.

Carla, The question and answer IS very humorous, and it will continue to be rightly funny when read by all whom have a healthy sense of humor. You should Get one: "Every morning for about 20 years God has made a beep by my ear waking me up: Has anyone ever heard of this happening to someone?" and the Moderator answered, "Yes, it is called an alarm clock." carla, if you cannot see the humor in this, then you need help. I wonder if your face would crack if you tried to smile, because I see zero joy in your heart.

That statement is not even remotely funny, why do people have to ridicule someones experience.. If it is not god who speaks to the heart or the mind through his Holy spirit who is it that can do this?

That is probably the issue. If it is of god the things you speak on will be concerning godly things, questioning your holiness, walk with god and revelation of his word. god is not a medium but his spirit can tell you about things in the future if you are on the wrong path and seeking truth keep the vision to yourself or (awaiting a decision) it generally rings true that's how you know it is from god and supports your learning. not for fame or glory but unto salvation.

I have not had to set my alarm since i was born again into kingdom of God.He wakes me up audibly with a little beep by my ear.I know its the Lord cause i have never been late for work once.Sometimes I hear a knock or doorbell and the Lord uses that to get me up to pray. Not that i am any more special to Lord then anyone,i just have had a very physically afflicted life with many hardships and Lord just showing me his care and attention toward me so i wouldn't lose heart.Remember "He longs to show Himself strong toward those who's heart is perfect towards Him.

God Wakes me up at 4:30 5 o'clock every Morning. This only has happend recently, when I started taking on some responsibility and started gaining discipline. I am 17 years old.

I can recall one time when i was sleeping and i hear 4 Very loud beeps in my ear. >.< annoyed the hek outta me.

I have a question tho, how do i commune with him? i know about reading the bible and praying. But i think I'm missing something.

Wow, I don't know about a spiritual significance, but someone knocking on my door in the middle of the night would provoke me to a panic! Apparently someone is leaving quickly right after waking them--nasty! I bet it's hard for them to sleep now, wondering who it is!

---patie3447 on 9/25/09

Yes most people do wake up automaticly to go. I go about 7 to 10times a night even after surgery. Why is it so hard to beleive that the Lord is doing this for me, now fora very long time. Is it jealousy ,cynicism or just plain unbelief? The Word says" he longs to show himself strong to those whose hearts are perfect towards Him", My walk is always to please Him and submit to His Word. I wonder maybe if some still think they are serving an angry God going through menopause?Always under condemnation or shame and putting your bondage on others.Listen folks when your heart is to please him and always quick to repent or be sensitive to hurting others He has a sea of grace and forgiveness toward us.

Jim ... I wake upo during the night for precisely the same reason.

What is interesting is that I just wake, & feel the need to 'go', whereas you hear an audible beep.
---alan8566_of_uk on 9/17/09

Yes its been a year since my original blog about being awakened with an audible beep by my ear. I beleive the Lord has assigned an angel to awaken me cause of severe prostste and bladder problems , every time i am woken up my bladder is full and i have to empty it,after i do i am not awakend again or harrased which the devil would do and i never feel evil when awakened only the need to empty my bladder, just Gods loving care for me knowing how much i have suffered from this condition and yes i have had an operation to try to correct it.I have simply also just asked the LOrd to wake me in the morningand for 20 something years i have never had to set an alarm clock and He has always awakenedme right on time to go to work.
---Jim on 9/17/09

Jim, its been a year since you posted, I wonder if the ringing is still going on.
I believe that since God is in control of everything, I mean everything, I give Him all the credit for allowing me to wake up every morning. The day I don't wake up, it will be the Day God stopped waking me up. He wakes me up at around 3:30 am every morning. Of course He lets me take a nap around 1 pm and He wakes me up again after about two hours everyday unless I am on vacation and then God wakes me up at a different time. I myself thank God for waking me up. That is a blessing so I am happy every time I do wake up.
---MarkV. on 8/8/09

I have woken at the same time each morning (6.30) withouit an alarm clock

But last night, I did not have my usual night-time (non-alcoholic!) drink, and I slept through, not even hearing my automatic tea-maker which is set to 7.30.

It all to do with the way the body works.

But as to the original question, I can't explain the "audible beep"

Donna66: "Surely God is able to wake us if it's important to Him."

Every day for twenty years? When God wants you to do something it for a specific purpose at that particular moment when God is asking you to do something that will change the course of someone or a group of people. Just to wake up without a purpose every day for twenty years is not even biblical. Even the prophets didn't do everything every single day, only when God needed them to deliver a message or perform a miracle - at that particular moment. Satan surely has Jim believing in a lie.
---Steveng on 7/23/09

Syeveng--What "excuse"? And who's talking about sleeping 24 hours? I'm just talking about getting up early to do whatever the Lord might have for you to do? I put my faith in an alarm clock usually....but it has been known to fail (or I've failed to set it correctly).

Surely God is able to wake us if it's important to Him.

You people are foolish to believe that you use God as an alarm clock. If anything, demons are making you believe in a lie, making you think what is happening is from God. Sure, I have a biological clock that wakes me up at 4:30 every morning, but I don't think it's a miracle from God. It's more of a habit that was formed when I was younger (working at my dad's restaurant and produce company where we had to get up at four in the morning).

When God wants you it's for a specific purpose, not for personal gain. God's major purpose is to populate the Kingdom of God. So how does beeping or the slamming of doors to wake you up help others to the Kingdom.

---Mary on 5/17/09

God wakes me up by shutting a door. It's like I have been with him all night and when it is time to get up the door shuts and I wake up. Another way He awakes me is with a bird singing a song. I never need an alarm clock to get up. I don't use them anylonger.

Why would God wake a person up with a beep in their ear for twenty years and not tell him why. I believe God has better things to do, we have alarm clocks/watches for that. God might would do a thing like that for a much shorter period of time, in order to get someone's attention to ask Him for a word. If by some chance God has been doing that, there's a reason, and you should be finding out what it is before it's too late.

An alarm clock: That is so funny. God puts me asleep and He wakes me up. My hours are so strange. Praise the Lord, for He is GOOD.
---catherine on 3/6/09

Don't under estimate God. He can do anything, anything at all. He's appeared to me in the night - waking me up. Just because we haven't experienced something someone else has, who are we to say God won't do this or do that. God will not be understood by man. Foolish is the man who thinks he can understand Him and his ways.
---Jane on 3/4/09

God would not do that way. If He wanted to tell you something, He would have done it long ago. Have you tried asking Him what He wants to tell you? The Lord gave you time to figure it out. If you didn't, maybe it's not God causing the beeping.

The more I seek after God, and align myself with His Word, He begins to wake me up early in the morning, usually between 3 and 5 in the morning. He wakes me up to pray. If you study the Word, then you'll see that all of the men of God in scripture arose early in the morning to pray. I've never been woken up with a beeping noise. I usually just find myself wide awake all of the sudden, and I know it's either Jesus or demonic attack. When it's Jesus, I feel peace, but when it's demonic, I can't even move or talk. It gets pretty intense sometimes. Spiritual warfare is not fun at all!

Jim. Have you ever found the reason for this? I know a man who was woke up by the Lord at exactly 3 AM. every morning. Then he would hear a loud knock on the door and go to answer it but there would be no one there. This happened many days in a row and the last day it happened he was met by a bright lighted angel who told him he was being called by God into the ministry. He has been a faithful pastor in our city for many years now.

It isn't God who's waking you up every morning. God does not beat around the bush for you to do something. He will wake you one time and tell you exactly what to do. And you better do it or you'll end up in the belly of a fish.

The mind is a very powerful organ. It creates habits in your mind. As for myself, my dad and I (since the age of eight) would wake up at four o'clock to work at either his restaurant or his produce company in Chicago. To this day I continue waking up bright-eyed and bushy tailed at about the same time, mostly four thirty in the morning. My toughest time in the early 1970s was when I was working as a security guard at night while building my first business in the day.

Billbilla5659 You must DIE! You,that means all of us must become LIVING SACRIFICES,hating our lives and the garments stained by sin.We must not love the world or anything in it! You must love Yeshua more than your family and children. It means giving up a lot and making Him the Lord of your life.not allowing ANYTHING to distract you and believe me, you are in for the fight of your life. But,you will win if you faint not! Now-a-days, I say:"Lord, God, I have done all I can for you today, and if something needs correcting, load me with GUILT tomarrow that I may confess."
---Danelle on 8/26/08

Duane Dudly,do I detect a not of sarcasm? Examine your "foolish jesting!" We are very SERIOUS about our salvation.Even the Apostle Paul counted himself the least of the brethren, and the least worthy to be blessed by Jesus after what he had donein persecuting the Jews. But, he will be in that Kingdom, having goneon to becomeone of the chiefest apostles!
---Danele on 8/26/08

Thank you, Danelle . . . you say you can have nagging doubts about your spiritual life, even after you have read the Bible before going to sleep. Well, I might say I don't doubt, because I *know *I need to do better, but I just confess to God how I need more, and keep offering myself to Him. And one thing that helps is to just wait while He clears me and then in His peace see how I am and what I think and do (Colossians 3:15). And keep doing this, and confessing when I fail. Also, He has us for helping "one another" >

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16)

---tom2 on 8/22/08

Many years ago, I used to hear strange buzzing noises coming out of my turned-off radio every day at exactly 2 AM. Sometimes electric appliances can interact in strange ways, especially if some are not grounded properly, or if something happens in a nearby house while your own house wiring acts as a receiving antenna, etc.

What can be especially revealing is what happens during the changeover from winter time to summer time (daylight saving time) - do the noises also change at exactly the same time the clocks do? If so, it's almost assuredly man-made.

Otherwise, it could be your body's biological clock. For example, for decades, no matter what time I go to sleep or how tired I am, I almost always wake up exactly 6 hours later.
---StrongAxe on 8/22/08

Billbila5659 I too, have been awakened in strange ways. After thinking your blogging over for a while,I came up with the idea that you may not be praying enough.I pray sometimes 6-7 times a day and feel that even that frequency is not enough. We all have our pressures, burdens, personal problems ect. that can very easily distract us. And the human mind is ALWAYS never really closes down. I try to read a few chapters of the Word each night, but still go to bed with nagging doubts about my spiritual life and I realize it is the lies of satan. Remember that you can silently pray as you work.

Often, I wake up to the alarm of how I have NOT been spiritual and submitting to the LORD during my dreams, and I need for God to wake me up into His peace with sweetness and beauty of His Holy Spirit, before I do anything.

And all those demands for my attention, coming from things of the day before . . . I need to wake up from these, too, and be attentive to God, instead, and see what He has me doing with Him.
