I saw my rheumatologist today and she is running further blood tests to rule out Lupus as the cause of my pain. She suspects a viral infection causing the pain, but is not sure.
She has given me some medication to help ease the pain at night.
I will know more in a few weeks at my next appointment. Thanks for praying.

I have two sons. Not sure which one I mentioned on the blog, but neither walks with the Lord at this time. They professed Christ when they were young, but now that they are older they reject most of the Church.
I do have a daughter who loves the Lord, and she is raising my precious granddaughter. I pray that whatever is wrong with me will not prevent me from keeping up with that munchkin.
---Trish9863 on 11/24/08|
Trish I am happy to pray for your needs but sorry you need it. I just hope God will lead your doctor to what is going on with you and how to treat it and help you to gain wholeness in your health. I saw you mentioned your son on another Blog, just want you to know I will be praying for him too that all his needs will be met. Thats how I have always gotten through when there seemed to be no way, prayer does move God to move mountains. Our business has been slow this year, construction related, and I was concerned about having enough to prepare for Thanksgiving. I have been praying for God to help meet all our needs. I got to looking and half of what I need to cook is already in my own house. Praise God!
---Darlene_1 on 11/24/08|
Darlene, you are so sweet to pray for me as you do. I really appreciate it. My family doctor explained the bloodwork results to me Thursday night, and why he is referring me to the rheumatologist.
I took Friday off from work because of the pain and exhaustion. I am taking it easy this weekend as well. I have some schoolwork to do, and some tidying to do, but other than that it is rest on my agenda this weekend.
---Trish9863 on 11/22/08|
Trish so happy you found a doctor who could see you sooner. I just pray she finds the cause of your pain and can help you. My daughters boss is having terrible joint pain also, her's is a viral infection in the joints,so please pray for her. She is manager over 17 tax preparation offices in 9 different cities and must keep working since they are preparing for the next Tax season,I know you can relate to her plight of working when you don't feel like it.
---Darlene_1 on 11/21/08|
Barb: She is board certified. Hugs.
---Trish9863 on 11/21/08|
Praise the Lord. I was able to find a rheumatologist that can see me next week. I have an appointment on Tuesday. God is so good.
---Trish9863 on 11/21/08|
Trish, please make sure that he/she is board certified!
---NVBarbara on 11/20/08|
Barb: I never got a butterfly rash, but that is just one possible symptom of many.
The joint pain I am experiencing is excruciating.
Right now, I have an appointment with a rheumatologist for December 3. I am calling a different one today to see if I can get an appointment sooner.
I will keep you posted.
---Trish9863 on 11/20/08|
Trish do you have a 'butterfly rash' on your skin, particularly your face? Joint pain? Hair loss, mouth sores?
My sister was misdiagnosed for several years before they finally discovered that she had Lupus, she was 40 yrs. old then.
Will you see a Rheumatologist soon for proper testing?
As always, in my prayers, love ya'.
---NVBarbara on 11/19/08|
Darlene, Thank you for your prayers. My bloodwork shows borderline for a test that could indicate Lupus, which means I must see a rheumatologist and get further testing done.
I am willing to accept whatever the Lord allows in my life at this time.
---Trish9863 on 11/18/08|
Trish I am praying those tests will show you don't have either of those diseases. May God intervene and put your health on an upswing to getting well. I know it's hard to deal with pain and still have to do things you really don't feel like doing. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 11/18/08|
Barb: Even though the lab SHOULD HAVE sent the results to the doctor by now, as of Monday evening, they have not called with the results. I did call the doctor's office twice today to see if they have the results, but no such luck. I am not very patient when awaiting test results.
I managed to get through today, relatively easily, though exhausted by the end. I am very sore this evening though.
Thanks for praying.
---Trish9863 on 11/17/08|
Trish, did you hear from your Dr. about your bloodwork yet?
I'm praying for you and your Dr. to get to the root cause of this and that it won't be Lupus or Lyme disease.
Hopefully something much more simple to handle!
Love and prayers.
---NVBarbara on 11/17/08|
I just wanted to update my prayer request from earlier this week. My doctor ordered some bloodwork tonight because I am in an extraordinary amount of pain. He is testing me for lyme disease and lupus. I would appreciate your continued prayers.
---Trish9863 on 11/13/08|
That's so thoughtful of you Darlene, thank you MUCHO!
We found out that Steve only has one working kidney, the other is totally shriveled up.
It could be a result of the treatment he had while undergoing treatment a few years ago for Prostate cancer, its anybody's guess.
His Mom is doing well after her eye surgery.
I keep all of you guys in my prayers. God bless!
---NVBarbara on 11/13/08|
NVBarbara hi just want you to know I am praying for your nephew,I think I read he is back in action and flying in the war. I assume it's Jeff. I pray God will keep Steve and strengthen and make him better,so sorry to hear about his illness. I hope his Mom is recovered now and doing fine you all are in my prayers. May God give you a special touch too. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 11/13/08|
Sorry to hear of your ailment Trish, you know you're in my daily prayers. Love you sis. Thanks for your prayers for our family.
You're a sweetie "Mic"! Thanks for the reassurance, but I always know its there!
God bless you! Hugs too!

Darlene: Thanks for the prayers. I do know how dangerous it is with cellulitus, so I am taking it easy. My doc will check on my condition next week, to follow-up on the antibiotic he prescribed last night.
---Trish9863 on 11/11/08|
Trish,I will be praying for you. Please take care of yourself. I didn't know that condition could be so dangerous until I looked it up,you must do what you need to do to get well. If you haven't thought of it,get yourself a high stool to sit on infront of the class as much as possible. Modify your habits to give yourself as much relief as possible by getting off those legs. You must not take this lightly and push yourself past what is wise to do with this infection. God bless you and get better, take care of you,so you will be all well for when your precious family comes for Christmas so you can enjoy fully your time with them. God Bless

NVB :-You are still a cutie and through your humour I see a genuine gentle throbbing Heart.I smile with you when I need relaxation-But you already know that this is added reassurance.
---Mic on 11/10/08|
Please pray for me...I have cellulitus in both of my legs and cannot take time off from work to let them rest. Being a teacher demands a lot of time on my feet.
---Trish9863 on 11/10/08|
What is happening is that my family is already making plans for the holidays. My daughter will be in town the week before Christmas, but has to return to Michigan a few days before. We will have an early Christmas this year, which is totally fine with me.
Have a great weekend.
---Trish9863 on 11/7/08|
November is an exciting month!
We have a new President elect that I believe is God's choice for our hurting nation.
I will be praying for him and his family and our country daily.I hope everyone will!
Thanksgiving is around the corner, we all have much to give thanks for.
God bless all here on these blogs, I'll pass through on occasion but not so often as before the election.
( a pinball machine? that's funny!)
---Becky on 11/6/08|
Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth you'd probably be able to get a lot of free games!
Just a little humor....very little!
Well, we don't have a 'humor blog' anymore and I just needed to share that!
---NVBarbara on 11/4/08|
Thank you Donna and Barb. I had a wonderful weekend enjoying my family and some glorious weather.
Barb, I will be praying for Steve and his mom.
My sister is scheduled for lap band surgery on Monday. She is having some hassles from her insurance company about getting it done. Please pray the insurance company clears her for surgery, so there are no hold ups with it.
---Trish9863 on 11/3/08|

Trish, Happy Blessed Birthday. So glad you got to go to the Phillies parade. I live 35 miles Northwest of where the parade was held, and I heard it took hours to get home that night. There were nearly 200 million people there. Did you have a good time? I'm so happy you got to spend your Birthday in such a special way.
Nov 22nd is my 50th birthday. My desire was to go visit the House of David Ministries and celebrate with them what God is doing in Jerusalem. But I didn't receive my inheritance yet. So I'm going to spend it quietly with a few friends of mine.
Remember to pray according to 1st Chronicles 7:14. Prayer will make all the difference in the world. God Bless!!!

Hi dudes and dudettes.
I hope this finds all well and thriving. I'm healing nicely from my surgery, not quite back to 'normal' yet.
Yeah I know, Ive never been quite normal.
May I ask all of you to keep Steve and his Mom in your prayers? She'll be having surgery on Tues. she's 89 and healthier than most of us, but she must have some outpatient surgery.
Steve's health is not great, he's got COPD and now some other lung related issues. His doctor is tracing it back to when he was in the Navy and was in close proximity to asbestos. More test have been ordered.
Knothead say 'hi' or something that sounds like hi. Hugs and prayers.
Don't forget to vote!!

Well, let me see. I forgot what I did in November. Oh, this IS November. I went to church, I pray to God. I had my friend take me to get some quohogs. Have you ever had quohogs? You like them? I like them spicy. My niece is coming down to take me to a restaurant. She's from Arizona. Another niece is going to take me to her sister's house for her birthday, in December. She's going to take me to the theater to hear music > a state theater. I think that's in December, too.

Trish...I had no idea about that one time zone in China. That's interesting since it is such a large country.
---SusieB on 11/2/08|
SusieB: There are other parts of the US that do not do the time change. It can be confusing at times. I teach geography and discuss the time zones with my students. They are often surprised to learn that the entire country of China only has one time zone. Interesting.
---Trish9863 on 11/2/08|
No clock changes where I live. We already get enough daylight here in Arizona. Nobody wants it to be 100 degrees at 10 o'clock at night.
---SusieB on 11/2/08|
I just want to thank the Lord for a blessed birthday on the 1st of November. I got to go to the Phillies Victory Parade on Friday, and then my family took me to dinner. I also got to hang out with my sisters on Saturday and enjoy some sweet fellowship. God is so good.
