He is a man that is caught up here, 2nd Cor. 11 v's 14-15.
God loves All people but hates the sin that they do. People that steal, lie, hate others, gays immoral acts, misuse & rob time from your boss, cheat on your spouse, drugs, smokes, & So many other sinful acts God hates.

He is a man that gives all normal Christians a bad name by speweing his venomous hatred against gays and jews.

He has gone so far as to protest funerals of dead soldiers telling the families that their loved one died as a judgement from God against gays.

His favorite protest sign says "God HATES Fa*s". He does not understand the meaning of hate the SIN but LOVE the SINNER.

Am writing from Johannesburg (if any of you know where that is?) As supposed "Christians" you would all do extremely well to heed most of the words offered by the Phelps'. As they continually say: Go and read your Bibles! Secular, mainstream Christianity has been so badly perverted and people leave their Bibles on their shelves, to gather dust! Actually, don't only read your Bibles - research the Word of God - in depth! You've all been brainwashed by lying prophets who call themselves men of God. The televangelists are sickening! Ecc.12:13 "Fear God and keep His Commandments - that is the entire duty of mankind." So, don't wait any longer - research the Scriptures Old and New.

Summed up in Fred Phelps's person is the logical culmination of the beliefs of fundamentalist Christians. Being like him is what fundamentalists are ultimately striving for, whether they know it or not....

Amanda .... Google "Westboro Baptist"

Idk who he is, but the name sounds familiar.

I wouldn't worry about what he says. That is his opinion.

Life's too short to be upset by people like F W Phelps. Hatred is a bad thing, if you reply in anger against a man like this, hatred continues, only in a different way. Remember, "vengeance is mine saith the Lord." God bless.

It seems that Fred Phelps is a troubled man who needs much love and prayer. God bless.

He is so brave that he pickets school children and dead people.

The Book of Revelelation says that cowards have reserved seats in the Lake of Fire.

If you look at the website of Westboro, you will see that Phelps has an all-consuming hatred of a particular group of people.

I wonder whether the reason for this is that he himself is fighting with his own personal demons?

I am so sorry, Bill. I misread your blog. How silly do I feel now? Please forgive me.
---Trish9863 on 2/18/09

I wonder what kind of a person would start a fire deliberately intending to kill people? I would call them Satanists. Working for Satan. Remember the aim of the NWO is to reduce the world population. Oh, and a great other result for them would be to ban peoples' freedom to go out of the townships, or to not allow them to start fires outside during the dry season. That way, more control. Checkpoints, etc. Seeing who lives where and why you are on the road. Gathering information. Cameras everywhere. Helicopters out looking for roaming humans. Gunships. Searchlights. I can just see it all coming down the pipeline.

Bill: You misread the blog question. Paul was stating what REV. PHELPS said about the Australia fires. You can find more info on it on the Westboro website. Google the church name, and check out that place.
---Trish9863 on 2/18/09

I stated what he claimed. Google his name and watch the youtube video of his speech.

He's one of those who's using God to either make money or to get popular.
---Paul2 on 2/18/09

Bill ... Yes he said that. In fact he has celebrated & glorified the fires, and his daughter has praised those who set them.

Do that Google that I suggested, and you will see why.

So, Paul, you are saying he said the Australia wildfires are God's judgment? Well, I read they suspect an arsonist set those fires. Is that arsonist supposed to be God? Or, would one say God is working in mysterious ways, through the evil doing of an arsonist? In either case, I notice how a number of people are so fast to say what is God's judgment on others. But are we at least as careful to point out how we ourselves are wrong? Do our pastors make at least as much of a point of making sure we are wise to them and however they can be misleading? "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17)

He is the boss of Westboro Baptist church.

You will find out quite a lot about him and the church if you google that name.

They have very decided views about things, which you might find a tad extreme.
