I am really praising the Lord. I finally get to not wear the special cast/boot all the time, and not use the crutches I have been using for three weeks. My foot is healing, and I am so grateful to the Lord.

I am also excited because my granddaughter is coming to town this weekend, and we are having a special birthday picnic for her on Sunday.

God is so good.
---Trish9863 on 5/29/09

Trish yes the thought of those bees getting in my house is most unsettling. I avoid anything which might sting me although not allergic. I can't fathom how serious a problem being allergic to them is. African Bees have killed people in Texas. They're quicker to attack than normal bees. From the time I found the bees until my husband got home, about an hour or less, the bees disappeared. There was only one flying around a small opening between rock and wood on the house. I'm praying they are gone not making a hive inbetween the walls of the house.Praise the Lord my daughter arrived in Idaho with no problems. Please pray for my 91 year old Mom she is very upset and depressed, someone stole two lawnmowers. Thanks for all the prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 5/21/09

Darlene: How horrific that must be about the bees. I am seriously allergic to normal bees, and I would just be devastated if there were an infestation in my home.
---Trish9863 on 5/20/09

Please pray that no one gets bombarded and stung at my house and that we can get rid of bees. Also that the bees don't invade my livingroom. My husband was in our livingroom when he heard bees. He saw that two somehow had made their way into our house. I went outside to see if I could locate them and they are under the overhang of the house next to the chimney. In Texas we have Killer Bees which are very aggressive and dangerous. I am concerned the two in house were scouts and others may follow. If they did we would have to move out. In Texas it is a very serious problem because Beekeepers and some exterminators won't come kill them because they could be Killer Bees or domestic mixed with them. I know God can protect us even from bees.
---Darlene_1 on 5/20/09

Trish hope you're doing better. I know it's not easy to depend on others,I don't like to either, but you're wise to take it as a learning experience. Mary next to God time is a very good healer for heartache. My head has been sore since I fell and also some bad headaches but I am feeling better today. Please Pray for my daughter, her husband and son. They are leaving home at 3AM tomorrow to catch a plane at airport 60 miles away. My daughter is healing slowly, its still hurts,it's her bady broken arm she had surgery on, but if it gets bumped she has terrible pain,I'm praying for her to be all right and also a safe trip for them all. They do have one layover 1 1/2 hours on their way to Idaho from Texas. My prayers are with Y'all. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 5/19/09

God bless you Mary, this was a great learning experience for you.
What doesn't kill us will help us learn and mature.

I realize that this situation was difficult for you.
God has His plans for you as long as you're following His word and accept the bumps that may be in the road.

This is a great time to seek the Lord's will for you and your life.

God bless you dear one in all that you do.
---NV_Barbara on 5/17/09

Mary: I will pray for you as you heal from the break-up of your relationship. I grew up in a home with mental illness, and now work in mental health. Relationships at any level take a brutal beating when one is mentally ill. It is great that you are willing to do the NAMI walk, as that raises awareness and funds for a cause that needs a lot of support.
---Trish9863 on 5/16/09

Hi, God bless you both Rebecca and NVBarbara, I appreciate you both. I'm afraid he decided to break up with me though. :( I'm certainly under less stress at this point even though I'm sad he didn't want to make it work. I'm still praying for him though and today I'm going on an awareness/fundraising walk for NAMI (National Alliance for Mentally Ill) in his honor, and to help raise funds for so many just like him. God bless you guys, Mary
---Mary on 5/16/09

God is busy teaching me gratitude and humility. Having a broken right foot has created a dependence upon others for rides to and from work, as well as doctor's appointments and church. I am one of those people who has no problem taking people places to help them, BUT, it is such a challenge to ask for help. Please pray for me in this situation.
---Trish9863 on 5/13/09

Donna: How can this man get help if Mary deserts him? She is trying to get him help, he went to church, was prayed for. If God can't help a person, then no is no hope. If people reached out their hand a little farther to show some kindness toward others, then maybe there might be less suicides.
Mary: Keep praying for your boyfriend. He needs you more than ever. Continue to show God's love to him. The worse thing you can do is pressure him into going to church with you. If he says no when you ask, then drop it. Don't hound him, because that will drive him further away. God Bless.
---Rebecca_D on 5/12/09

Mary, you're a commited Christian?
You're serious about a man who isn't a Christian, PLUS he's suicidal?

Get him some help dear and then get away from him!
Difficult I know, since you care for him.
But in the long run better for both of you!

Have you prayed long and hard about this?

God bless you as you seek His will for your life.
---NV_Barbara on 5/12/09

Hi everyone, I am praising God today! The man I love (Heaven help me but I do lol!) finally went with me to church yesterday! :) I don't know how much of it sunk in but he was being prayed for by 2 prayer warriors in our church even as he sat in the service, so I have hope. He is also suicidal so if anyone feels led to pray for him, please, please do and thank you more than I can express!
---Mary on 5/11/09

Thank you all for the prayers. I made it through the night although I didn't sleep well but am praising God I didn't have to go to emergency, they have a 4 to 6 hour waiting time. I know my head will hurt and of course I am sore in places I didn't even know I had. With pain Medication I was able to go see Mom yesterday late and take Supper to her and eat with her which pleased her and me. I'm giving the swelling time to go down but if headache isn't better by tomorrow I will see the doctor. If everyone hadn't prayed for me I know it could have been a lot worse,God really did touch me. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 5/11/09

Darlene: I am so sorry to hear of your head injury. I pray you are safe.

My weekend was son took me out to watch the baseball game at a restaurant that had TVs to view the game on yesterday. My other son and daughter called me today. Church was awesome. God is good.
---Trish9863 on 5/10/09

Darlene...We will be praying for you. What a way to spend Mother's Day. Ouch!!!!
---SusieB on 5/10/09

Thanks for that post on theses scriptures Darlene, I was being lazy due to the amount of reporters that I had to deal with, well wishers and family. It has certainly been an ordeal, hope it will be over real soon there's a lot of structural work to be done!.

I Hope and pray for you, that your healed as fast as I was throughout this time, I trust and believe God for you. You know when you lift someone up or pray for someone the devil is not happy However we have The Almighty God through Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour that knows how to look after the sparrows, clothes the lilies much more his earthly children.

please don't take offence I really meant no harm I am sorry! You were perhaps were a little naive in speaking and I was too hard I take on board what you said, don't stop posting I make mistakes and get blasted but I thank God for them because it shapes your Character, the word is like a two edged sword it cuts in both directions, If I'm correct it means both learn one giving learns also the other receives teaching too and it is quite humbling dare I confess I'm just being honest!
---Carla3939 on 5/10/09

My Mothers Day became a little bit dramatic when a rolling office chair rolled out from under me and I fell backward and banged my head really hard on a Builtin China Cabinet door. It made my head hurt and I also hurt my neck and the already bad back. I think I may have a slight concussion because my pupils of my eyes aren't contracting as they should but there is nothing to do for that except take it easy,I've had concussions before. I would just ask please pray for me that no other symptoms present themselves and that I won't have to go to the emergency room. It happened about 2 hours ago and I prayed right away,as did others, and I'm believing God is answering my cry for help today.
---Darlene_1 on 5/10/09

May all the mothers be blessed on their special day.If there was a grand award I could give all mothers I would but then we all have experienced the best reward to be had.Our children. The Bible says happy is the man(woman) who has his(her) quiver full of them. It is so true, children are a blessing from God,as are grandchildren, and for me greatgrandchildren. Trish glad to hear you are healing, take care. I will go to see my other blessing my 91 year old mother tomorrow. I've already received flowers and cards from my children, including my adopted(not legal, but through love)son in Egypt,he sent me flowers. I was very surprised!
---Darlene_1 on 5/9/09

I just want to wish all the Moms and women who love kids and others like Moms do a Happy Mothers Day. I am blessed with three lovely children, two in-law kids, a granddaughter and a soon to be born grandson. While I will only get to see one son today, as the others are out of town, I am blessed with their love nonetheless. Many women are estranged from their children for a variety of reasons, and I feel bad that they are deprived of such blessings.

My foot is doing much better since I am using crutches around the house and a wheelchair at work. It should be good as new in three weeks.

Have a great weekend.

Carla3939 there are Bible verses which say what you are saying about giving,or to Bless in secret. Just thought I'd share those. Matthew 6:1,2,3,4 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men,to be seen of them:otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in Heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms do not sound a trumpet before thee,-.But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:That thine alms may be in secret:and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. Donna 8385 when someome is laid upon your heart, the richest gift we can give one another is to pray for each other. Pray God's blessing on that peson then you don't need an address.
---Darlene_1 on 5/9/09

I sincerely apologise if you took my post the wrong way, I meant no hurt .... I just meant to say it's always better when you bless in secret :)

---Carla3939 on 5/8/09

Donna...I have tried to handle this situation with graciousness. I have no intention of emailing you or giving you my home address so you can send me your so-called blessing. Perhaps it would be best if you did not continue to post on these blogs if you cannot accept that others may disagree with your new age beliefs. There is no "magic" in God's blessings, especially if you are doing it to somehow shame the person you think you are blessing.
---SusieB on 5/8/09

I wish to thank all who prayed for my daughter Debbie's broken arm. She saw doctor yesterday and he took off the splint and cast, its only been about a week and a half since surgery, she only has to use the sling but the doctor did tell her to start using the arm. She is still in a lot of pain but as bad as it was,it had to have a plate on one bone from elbow to about 3 inches above wrist,a pin in the other bone, and a pin through the elbow, I'm not surprised. Even so I feel God is really moving on her behalf and answering prayers. Please do continue to pray for her,she already had a flight to Idaho booked to go for her nieces graduation, and it wasn't refundable. She leaves with her husband and son on May 20th. Thanks again,God Bless

---Carla3939 your response is mean and cruel and hard-hearted. I thought it says in Corinthians NO ONE knows the heart of man except the Spirit of God.

Do you REALLY know what's inside my heart Carla? It's not self. My hard-hearted lawyer told the other lawyer that Donna is the most generous person I know. So you DON'T KNOW me nor my heart Carla and your post is insulting, but if that was your intention, you succeeded. ONLY GOD KNOWS THE HEART OF MAN Carla. NOT you, not Susie, not anyone. And for your information, I do bless in secret but this time I needed her to email me. Susie, it's just a peace offering, but never mind. Too many carnal minded people on this board. I really need to stop posting here.
---donna8365 on 5/8/09

The bible is clear about blessing and unless you are heaping coals of fire on suzies head by shaming her with your gift it's useless because you are doing so for all to see.

If you are giving her a gift why have you publicised it, if you gift anything as unto the Lord do so secretly you'll be blessed openly.

However you make clear that you have, who you are and what your doing, SELF is loud and clear. This is not blessing it shows up Your Human intention which is to elevate YOURSELF!
---Carla3939 on 5/8/09

Tommy: Praise the Lord for His awesome provision for you. That is such an awesome prayer answer. Thanks for letting us know.

I have seen my doctor and will be using crutches and a wheelchair for a few weeks for my broken foot. Praise the Lord no cast!!!
---Trish9863 on 5/7/09

Thanks to anyone who prayed for me. I've secured a job and it looks as if it will work out well indeed!

I'll have to travel a little at first, but not very far.The city I will commute to for training is where my twin sister lives so I can't complain, nor would I!

God is so good! My children have been good prayer partners to me, as has my church.
Starting over at 54 was somewhat scary to me but God has supplied my needs and I'm very thankful.

Donna...There are probably people within a mile of your home who need food or clothing. Help them out. Our home is not lacking in blessings or finances. Please understand that just because I do not agree with your unbiblical beliefs does not mean that I am attacking you personally. The idea that you somehow need to send me a gift to be blessed is sad. God's blessing are free.

my great great grandparents were Seminoles Indians who fought in the second Seminole War from 1832 to 1841. They were deafeated and to be marched to Oaklahoma, but they escaped and went great grandparents were Seminole and Swedish, great pap thaddeis was hung for being married to an indisn. Grand pap was one half indian,And was sold into indentureship after his father was hung.
---tom2 on 5/5/09

Trish, yes, we do look at it that way. What we have learned is that inmates who get mail and regular visits are less than half as likely to return to prison as those who don't.
---JohnnyB on 5/5/09

Tom 2, your screenplay sounds interesting, I hope that you can go somewhere with it. Have you thought about submitting it to PBS? They have several interesting documentaries on Indian tribes. To be truthfully honest I think the Indians have been given a raw deal. God loves them just as much as anyone else. Good Luck.

I have one more semester of schooling to go, and I am reading that free book that was advertised on Christianet.
---amand6348 on 5/5/09

Tommy...That's a great tradition to start. We have seen hundreds of men and women continue to walk with the Lord on the outside. Many of our closest friends are ex-felons. One of our friends was in prison for murder and had received a life sentence without the chance of parole. God showed mercy on him and he was released from prison several years ago. He is a preacher and continues serving the Lord to this day.
---SusieB on 5/5/09

Tom2 are you from Florida originally?
As I recall that's where the majority of that tribe settled.
I'll look and see if I can find your family history on the mentioned site.
I love history and this sounds like the makings of an interesting read!

Johnnyb: Your visits to the prison are still a ministry. I am thinking of the sheep and the goats story in are still ministering love to these inmates, and I applaud it.
---Trish9863 on 5/5/09

I thank God for the opportunity to go into the local prsion here in Fl and minister to the men who are in need of the Gospel and support for their growth. My wife and I have been involved in this for 3 years now and I have been speaking for the past 2 years. The prison where we go now (the work camp) has about 250 men in that section and we have been running 20-35 men for the last month. This past Sunday, I called one of the men up front after the service and explained to the other men that he would be going home on the 5th and that we were going to pray for him and that I was going to start doing that for all the inmates at their last service before going home. God bless you all!
---tommy3007 on 5/5/09

SusieB, I wouldn't call what we do a ministry in the religious sense. If the inmate is not interested in spiritual things, we don't discuss them. We go to visit, not convert. But some are interested. The lady on death row runs a Bible study and we have sent her materials for that at her request.

JohnnyB...Glad to hear of your good visit with the inmates. It sounds like a very good ministry. Those of us who do regular services are prohibited from having private visits with inmates or their families outside. It sounds like your ministry is more one-on-one and that is very much needed.
---SusieB on 5/4/09

SusieB, have not been to Delano. We have only visited women inmates for the past six or seven years. Our visits went well over the weekend.

I,ve written a screenplay, posted on scriptbuddy website about my family. From their defeat as Seminole Indians, thru the hanging of my great grandfather for being a white man married to an Indian. TO my grandfather being given up agterwards, then sold as an indentured servant,to his first wifes death in childbirth, and the lose of the baby.sprinkled in between with joy.I,t called ,The Journey The Birth of an American Family

Sue: That is so wonderful that you have your grandchild visiting. My Munchkin will be in town in a month, and I am thrilled.

I would appreciate prayers because I broke my foot, and have been walking on it with a special boot since Easter, when the original orthopedist said it was not broken, but tendonitis. Praise the Lord, I went to an orthopedist who treated me years ago, and he showed me the break on the X-rays. I had an MRI done today, and hope to get some answers as to what is next, as I spend a lot of time on my feet on my job.

JohnnyB...Ever been into the Delano facility? We ministered there a few years ago. We would go in on Saturday morning and do services back-to-back until evening and then start again on Sunday. It was awesome!

I planted some onions, potatoes, corn in my garden so far. If it would stop raining long enough, I'd plant my cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and other things. My onions are about 2 inches long. I am taking extra caution this year to repel the deer and other pesky critters from my garden. And thank God this summer has been the only summer I didn't have any surgeries. Finally I can work in my garden and in my flower garden instead of watching someone else. We don't realize how forgetful we are on the little things we can do. It is like we take it for granted.
---Rebecca_D on 5/1/09

Sue that's wondeful to have your grandchild with you but I know what you mean. Wouldn't take anything for them and enjoy your time with them but it's sure good to be able to give them back to Mom and Dad so you can rest. I am a great grandmother of 7 year old girl and three and a half year old boy and I don't ever keep them but when I go to see them I'm amazed how active they are especially the little boy. They want my complete attention when I'm around and of course I love it but I'm just exhausted when I leave. I think the Bible says children are a blessing from the Lord, happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. It's true of all generations.
