Hello brother Richard, let me explain about believers judge by their works, that happens at the Judgment Seat of Christ, when they are judge they are judge for rewards. What they did wrong will be burned, and what they did good they will be rewarded for. Speaking of believers,
"For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing therefore , the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are well known to God, and I also trust are will known in your conscience." see also (Rom. 14:10)
Unbelievers go to the Great White Throne of Judgment for sentencing. They are already condemned.

Markv - He judges by our works - Mark I have on that - The Saved are really - not Judge, Because - They have Justification , If God Judges us by our works, then it would not be Grace, Faith with out works is dead, this is true, But it's Christ work's that saves,
Zephaniah 3:5 - Seek the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgement, seek righteousness, seek meekness, it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the lord anger.
Romans 5:18 - Therefore as the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one the Free Gift came upon all men unto justification of life,

\\Thanks Cluny, but this only happens at Church, so i don't think its a panic attack and I'm not a superstitious person.

Belief in ancestral curses (such as someone in your family being involved in the occult and it's affecting you) IS superstition.
Belief that someone can put a hex on you IS superstition.
Most likely it's dust or paint or some other allergen in the church building--or maybe a perfume that someone there is wearing?
Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 8/2/13|
sister Mary, you are absolutely correct. To many, everthing that happens or everything they do, is attributed to a demon or satan. Many times they don't want to take responsibility for their own actions and blame the devil. God will do away with the devil one day, but He judges us by our works, what we did in life, and we are not going to be able to blame satan. God will open the books and say, "here is what you did." And God will judge us righteously.

Hi, this reminds me of years ago when a woman sat at our prayer meeting and said a demon was trying to convince her she was coming down with a miserable cold! I thought oh great, now she's going to share this "demonic" cold with everyone else--thanks lol!

Great post Lidia, makes sense to me, much more than a demon-caused breathing problem.
---Mary on 7/30/13|
Hello, just a tidbet, the breathing problems at church, probably, could be dust mites carpet, blinds(window) asbestos, interior or basement stuff risen, some allergy
( don't be offended) alot of perfumes bother folks. Lord bless you,Not every thing is a demon! Love of Jesus!

You are misusing those verses, and they are not applicable in this situation.
God would like to set you free. If you are not a Christian, please receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior *1. Then, ask God to deliver you from Satans attack. You would have to recognize that there is a wicked Spirit masquerading as an angel of light that has been sent to deceive you *2. Also, repent of (to renounce and walk away from) those false beliefs *3.
*1 Matthew 18:11, Mark 8:38, 10:45, Luke 10:22, John 3:14-15, Acts 4:10-12, Romans 3:24-26, 8:9, 10:9-13, Galatians 1:4, 1Timothy 2:4, Hebrews 2:14, 5:9, 7:25.
*2 2Corinthians 4:4, 11:13-15, 1Peter 5:8-9.
*3 Matthew 3:8, 4:10, Mark 1:15, Acts 20:21, James 4:7, 1Peter 5:8-9.

No. God is pushing you out. Remember Matthew 24:15 "Desolation and abomination" is already inside the Holy Place (Church) God commanded believers in the Last Days to come out Rev. 18:4. Satan's is ruling inside 1 Thes 3-4. And he changed himself as angel of light. Remember Mark 13:14 When you see Mark 13:14....(let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Judea (Church) flee to the Mountains (Jesus Christ) this means we must leave like what happened in the time of lot.

In the name of Jesus we rebuke Satan, and any demonic attack against Joanie. Matthew 4:10, 2Corinthians 2:11, 2Timothy 2:26, James 4:7, 1Peter 5:8-9.

Whether or not it is a demon for certain a problem exists. A good recommendation is to bring on the scene a washing agent that will clean away this problem. No doubt that you have heard that God inhabits the praises of his people, therefore as one of his people you should begin to praise God in the problem will flee!!!
When you feel the problem began to began to worship and praise the Lord Jesus Christ.

WOW, we finally found someone who is still not convinced that the devil is trying to seduce this world and even the saints with false miracles.Cluny. let me give a few examples of modern witchcraft. acupuncture and presure, "stroking" (is the occult counterpart of laying on of hands). firewalking, horoscopes etc. namologie, idolatry, (includes the collectioning of original "native artefacts") numberologie etc we are living in a world of witchcraft. However if someone is putting a spell on a born-again believer, and the person submits to God and resists the devil, no such thing can harm him. unless the person needs deliverance or has given himherself over to any of the abovbe.
---andy3996 on 7/9/09|
Witchcraft is very real - God said so. Many people have turned to witchcraft instead of God. I personally have seen witchcraft manuals for sale in Walmart. For those who want to learn how. Someone could be doing that to you, Joanie, but most likely it is a demon that hates church & everything Christian. Fill yourself with scripture & Christian music. Find out what you need to repent of, then do it. Ask God for forgiveness & keep asking Jesus to cast out the demon(s). Pray to receive the Holy Spirit of God. Keep asking for Him until He answers. Don't let the demons deceive you into thinking they're the Holy Spirit or Jesus.

\\ Thanks Cluny, but this only happens at Church, so i don't think its a panic attack and I'm not a superstitious person.\\
To blame things on demons and think you're being hexed (which don't exist) is VERY superstitious.
This sounds like some kind of allergy, to me.

You prolly need a GP!

Philippians 2:9-10 "Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,in heaven and on earth and under the earth." The spirit world is much more active than most Christians accept. The Holy Spirit will show you what it is though. Demon attacks come in many ways. They feel heavy and oppressive. The good news: its a lie! The devil is defeated by the powerful blood of Jesus. His name has all authority over them. Next time, quote the verse above...believe it...and speak the name of Jesus! Say Jesus over and over and tell oppression to go. Do it in faith even if you feel dumb. You are more than a conquerer through Jesus Christ!

As has been pointed out, this is nothing more than pure superstition, joanie.
My first guess is that there is simply a physical reason for your difficulty breathing: panic attacks (which can strike any time), allergies, asthma could be among them.
Assuming it's a demon, which is VERY unlikely, it's more probably that it's trying to KEEP you from working at your church.
Demons don't have to do anything when Christians think that everything unpleasant that happens is caused by a demon.
---Cluny on 6/24/09|
I'm not sure if any relatives were involved in the occult. Could some be putting a hex on me? This only happens at church no other times. Could God be telling me to leave this Church? please help
---joanie on 6/24/09|
Yes, it could be a demon.
---Betty on 6/22/09|
Could be, did you, your parrents or grandparents be active in the occult? if so, that is the most comon manifestation. a great anxiety unexplainable fear or chest-pains, or choking. if so, do a fast and ask you pastor for help, he'll know what to do. if not go check a doctor. but in any case go for prayers as well. God can heall in any way.
---andy_3996 on 6/22/09|
Go to the doctor for this one.
---Mary on 6/20/09|
As John MacArthur says "pray until you know, pray until you know."
Satan first attacks your mind so you believe you are really not secure in Christ, for I doubt you've lost control of your breathing.
Remember if you are really doing God's work and not church work (there is a difference), remember that God does not give an assignment without also giving you provision. You have all you need now to complete his work. The power to do a given task is called anointing, though like Paul you may still be buffeted by the enemy.
Just use the simple prayer of David in Psalms 12:1. "God help?"
---larry on 6/19/09|
Blaming what sounds like an anxiety attack on demons is rank superstition.
---eric1968 on 6/19/09|
There are natural things which can cause "hard time breathing" for you. Fomaldehyde on paneling can cause problems if you are allergic to it or have asthma. I was having trouble with choking up when I went into a fabric store which also uses that on material to set the dye, same thing for dye in carpets. I also choke up, get watery eyes,a headache around some perfume and mens aftershave. Perhaps there is dust laying on things high up you can't see. There are so many reasons that could happen to you and I would put demons so far down the list you could hardly see it. May God give you wisdom and knowledge as to what is wrong. God Bless
