cluny....Yep! I had no idea his tracts were so indepth.

\\ cluny...Slander???? And what is it when you say the Chick tracts have "factual error and slander"?
---SusieB on 7/6/09\\
One factual error is when he called Origen an Arian.
Actually, Arius came AFTER Origen.
He also talked about that nasty ole Council of Nicea, totally misrepresenting it, and suppressing the facts that
1. It was called to SUPPRESS Arius.
2. It was another Alexandrian, namely St. Athanasius, that lead the fight against Arius.
But these facts didn't fit into what he was claiming, so he omitted them.
Will these do for starters?

We donot need tracts, the Bible is the MEGA Tract of them all & that is ALL we need. God doesn't need tracts what he needs are people willing to be his mouthpiece & speak his word to others without some manmade cartoon scaring others or being ugly to other chrisitan denominations. Use the bible then you'll do well.

cluny...Slander???? And what is it when you say the Chick tracts have "factual error and slander"?
---SusieB on 7/6/09|
Many tracts do have error in them, but there are some that are mostly scripture, which I would prefer. The Bible does say that God's Word will not return void.

\\ Mima, Chick Tracts has a package of over 100 different tracts that you can purchase.\\
This does not change the fact that many of them contain factual error and slander, to say nothing of theological error.

Elena: To become a disciple of Christ one is born again through acceptance of His death on the cross for the atonement of your sins. After this, one works on his/her relationship with Christ by being taught through His Word, prayer and a relationship with an older person who has a good relationship with Him. If it is something you desire, you can contact me by private message. I sign using my Christianet username.

Cluney since you want to discourage people from passing out God's Word in the form of Gospel Tracts tell us something.
Did Jesus use or tell you to write on ChristiaNet to reach people? Did Jesus use PCs or do that other stuff you do?
I was in the Philippines and other places where people would mob someone to get a Gospel tract. You just haven't been out enough.
You or anyone else may say you don't like using them and that's OK. Tracts work great for me and many others.
I gave one to a friend, who sent it to her brother, who sent it to his mom. They all received Christ from that one little tract.

Cluny and Trish, make me His disciple if you really can....or you just tell about...

Mima, Chick Tracts has a package of over 100 different tracts that you can purchase. Also you could call them and see which specific tracts are the most popular for the exact type of witnessing you are doing. Tracts just like our Ecard Tracts can be highly effective because some are written for high shock value. Several of our cards because of the high shock value ended up on secular science sites with one site having over 10,000 views of a ecard for and against. It got people thinking about God that we would have never been able to reach directly here on ChristiaNet.

Thank you so very much for pointing out Christianet's Ecards to me. I got in from witnessing yesterday and did not look at them until this morning(Saturday) I am very impressed and sure I will use some of the Ecards.
I am looking for ideas that I can use in using the physical snail- pace mail. I am looking for soul jarring messages.
This is all very interesting to me because I have been against track passer-outers for many years. Now suddenly I feel the spirit moving me to do this. Again thank you so much I will let you know which ones I use.

Cluny: I ditto your answer. The Great Commission was about discipleship and relationships, not handing out tracts.
---Trish9863 on 7/4/09|
cluny...Who printed tracts when Jesus walked the earth? I don't think Chick is that old.
---SusieB on 7/3/09|
Mima did you have the opportunity to read any of the Ecard Tracts?
---Moderator on 7/3/09|
Most people don't read tracts, but merely discard them.
Did Jesus say to pass out tracts or make disciples?
