Trish has any of the young folks we have been praying for heard from family in Haiti? I urge everyone to keep praying for the people of Haiti it is a horrible situation. The estimate now is a possible 100,000 people dead. Please pray too for the people whose homes weren't damaged and who have supplies in that home that the desperate people don't attack their homes and steal their supplies and they could hurt tham. This calamity just underlines no matter what kind of problems we have in our lives we can still count our blessings. I am still praying for you too Trish. God Bless

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

I am a partaker of the divine Nature and only I can keep myself from being part of it by disobedience.

Here's an example of the blindness of the scientific world.

"The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists announced today that it would push their Doomsday Clock back one minute to six minutes to midnight in recognition of President Obamas efforts to combat nuclear proliferation and climate change."

The Scientists are totally ignorant of Bible knowledge and the signs of the times .

How could you strip the son of God of his divine Nature? Who could possibly have the power to do that Do that?
---exzucuh on 1/16/10

I have found a good passage that many should read, and take it to heart since there are many who want to strip Jesus of His Divine nature.
"Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate."
---MarkV. on 1/15/10

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Kathr, thank you for your words on Prophecy. Nothing today is the same as it was during the Apostolic Church or before in the Old Testament. There is still prophecies that have not come to pass yet, but they were written already and anyone prophecizing today is only saying what was already said, or putting their own opinions. Good work Kathr.
---MarkV. on 1/15/10

---kathr4453 on 1/13/10 Go and see if they have come to pass. I think you are the one who laughed at the first prophecy and told me the same thing. And I told you to write it down and see for your self. let it prove it self. I am not trying to be prophet. I am only obeying God by faith to place his word on the internet.
You will find no place where I ever claim to be a prophet. And you are wrong Barnebas was a Prophet and we are commanded to prophesy. I could give you the scriptures as you well know
but you do not believe the word of God as you have already proved to me by your denial of scripture.
---exzucuh on 1/15/10

Kathr4453,you are right about if a prophesy fails but I would share a few thoughts, and a conclusion I came to. I find the Prophets in the Old Testament didn't just prophesy, they healed the sick, raised the dead, caused a food barrel to never be empty, and all kinds of mavelous supernatural works of God. In the light of that if all a person does is prophesy that doesn't mean he or she is a Prophet. One very strong thing Prophets had was the wisdom about the Word of God plus how the Word affects and guides Gods people, also they gave God the Glory. There are prophesies now but they will always line up with the Word. God does show some with that Gift future things which are going to happen so they can pray, not prophesy. I know that firsthand.

EX, today there are no PROPHETS. those who have the gift of Prophesy are re-iterating what God has already spoken in His Word.....Remember IT IS FINISHED. There is nothing new and different. You cannot ADD to Revelation.

In the OT God spoke to us through Prophets....TODAY He has spoken to us through His Son Jesus Christ.

TODAY if the Lord wants to tell me something He can tell me personally!

If even ONE of your prophecies did not come to pass, you are not a Prophet. Just one!
---kathr4453 on 1/13/10

Trish I will pray specificaly for those loved ones too. Thanks for letting me know. It must be terrible for the young ones not to know how they are doing. Thank you for your prayers.

Eloy I have been praying for Steven that the people there now will be kind and considerate to him, I would like to think conditions are improved in the 21st Century but I know that isn't always the case.

Darlene, I have several former students on Facebook, dear sweet young Christian men and women, who are praying for their loved ones in Haiti, as they have not heard yet about their safety. These dear students are young adults now, and they love the Lord so sweetly, and were always positive testimonies, even in grade school.

I am praying for all involved.
---Trish9863 on 1/13/10

To get back on track for what this Blog is meant for, I ask for all to pray for Haiti, thousands are dead after the earthquake. My heart aches for those people,I can't help but cry for them. The paper told of thousands gathered together singing hymns. Our brothers and sisters-in-Christ are there too and the sinners need help and prayers that this will cause the lost ones to come to Christ. Mima you have a burden for the lost, these are devastated people. I don't want to hear one remark about them bringing it on themselves, they don't need naysayers, they need love and prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 1/13/10

Mima, Thank you so very much.
---Eloy on 1/13/10

Mary, very good to question such remarks. I guess the, No one knows the day or the hour" must not mean a whole lot to them. They know the day or the hour.
Too many sinless people around, too many without sin, and too many who know the mind of God.

---Mary on 1/13/10 I don't care if you believe or not write this prophecy down and see if it comes to pass. I gave one in 2003 It came to pass. I gave one for 2009 last year and it is already come to pass. All you people that laughed at it last year probably don't even remember it. And now you will say it was circumstances. or a good guess. But I see what is happening this people who call themselves Christians are stifnecked and faithless just like the Israelite's.
---exzucuh on 1/13/10

Where is this in the Bible? The Bible is written to Israel. Not America. The only reason Christians get anything from the Bible is because they see themselves there by divine revelation given to the apostles. Modern prophecy can be backed by examples of what God did to Israel that was doing the same things then as America does now. But you will not find a prophecy to America in the scripture.
---exzucuh on 1/13/10

Where is this in the Bible? I'm not saying you're wrong that judgement will begin this year but I don't see that in the Bible, nor do I believe every "prophet" out there.
---Mary on 1/13/10

Repent of sin in Twenty Ten is the Word that God has for his church. Judgment begins in the House of the Lord. He says to come out from among them separate and stop agreeing with the world. The world is the enemy of God. God says that the church has dirty rags for clothes because they think his grace allows them to sin. But his Grace provides power over sin. There is no light coming from the church because it is agreeing with darkness. There is no witness because they will not live their lives according to Gods word. And the world cannot see Jesus in them, they see the world.
God is calling the church to repent. If they do not Then judgment will come.

Please pray to Jesus for my older brother Steven, he has bi-polar mental illness and depression and paranoia and has been in the hospital for months, tomorrow they are moving him to another hospital, that hospital he really hates alot because of the past maltreatment and bad abuse from the hospital staff. I really pray for him, please, please pray that Jesus heals him and that he can be discharged. His name is Steven Stokes, and he thinks about death and dying most of the time.
---Eloy on 1/11/10

Tom 2, what you forget is that we cannot change the world so why worry about it. We can witness to people as we are called to do and the rest is up to God. He is the One who changes people. If He wanted He could change the whole world in a second. But He permits it to go on until all of the elect come forward to Christ. He endures much long suffering on His name, not that He Himself gets His feelings hurt or anything like that. He is waiting for the completion of what He has decreed. I don't like what has happened to most of the world but God allowed to get where it is at for a purpose I could never understand. I just trust in the Lord and let Him figure out all He knows how to figure out.
---MarkV. on 1/11/10

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Marriage is Holy in the Sight of God and when people marry it is at the Alter.
It is two people sacrificing their lives for each other in the sight of God and man.
The sacrifice of Sodomite marriage is unholy Matrimony and giving what is Holy to the Dogs.
It is the abomination of Desolation to God which means to sacrifice something unholy to God. 2010 will be the time to flee to the hills. God will give no more warning!

Well, for me, the football season is over. I believe it is 37 days till pitchers and catchers begin spring training. I do have March Madness to watch in the interim.

As for excited, I spent an awesome weekend ministering to about 17 homeless individuals who have been sheltered in the evenings at my church. It is a multi-church effort to get the homeless of the streets, and out of the encampments, during the coldest weather. I have such a burden for these people, especially one woman who is pregnant, and due any day now.

Please pray for this group, as several of them did stay for worship on Sunday morning. I am praying for the Mom-to-be, as there is a huge possibility that the county will take her child, as she is homeless.
---Trish9863 on 1/11/10

Mima I am praying for God's hand to be over the 10 for protection and that they have a spiritually rewarding trip. May many they minister to have ears to hear and hearts to receive Jesus. God Bless

I am still waiting for a prophecy which God gave me, first, in an open vision and later in a dream. I cannot pray about it, much. Afraid I will get into pride. What positions God puts me in! God says, "I must stay alert, until the prophecy is fulfilled".

Trish, I can certainly empathize with you, my wife has had FM for many years,it's impossible for her to "fall asleep"so she must take medication. She had a car accident and the insurance co. blames all her injuries on her FM
Before it hurt this much *....* now it hurts this much*...........* try proving that! She's totally disabled (wheel chair)
I'm her caregiver! Thankfully we have a top accident lawyer, or they would have shredded us. Some pain specialists are recommending botox or other injections for pain.

Ten men left St. Louis, Missouri this morning on a mission trip to the Philippines. Of the 10 I know 8 personally and those eight are confrontational one-on-one great witnesses. Their schedule calls for three to four weeks stay during which time they will be working in high schools and prisons there in Manila.
---mima on 1/9/10

Tom 2, we still live in this world, but not of the world. We have feelings for things because we are human beings. We should seek to make our marriage entertaining. If we don't it would be so boring.
About the pastors, some are very boring because they don't prepare themselves as they should. Many were not cut out to preach. They don't take authority right away, and kind of work to satify the mass of people, instead of been in control and teaching the Truth even if it hurts. If it hurts it means he is getting his point across and people are listening. Just like some teachers are not cut out to teach.
---MarkV. on 1/9/10

pondering, how apparently even most christians are totally wrapped up and bound by seeking entertainment in every area of life, even marriage must now be ENTERTAINING,and worse yet the pastors sermons.

I would appreciate prayer as I struggle with some of the weirder fibromyalgia symptoms. One huge one is sleep difficulties, the other has to do with the nerve endings in my skin.

---Trish9863 on 1/7/10

Did I mention all that God has done for me in the past month?

I went out on sick leave on December 9th, with terrible pain, only to learn that I not only have fibromyalgia, but herniated discs. A shot in my back has helped ease most of the pain. I also learned that I could get a smaller, one floor apartment, much cheaper than the rent I was paying. I also learned that I could get out of the lease I had at the expensive complex. God has His awesome hands in all of this.

Happy New Year everyone!

Trish, I watched the Eagles game too. I couldn't believe what I was watching, what a lousy game they played. I sorta felt sorry for them. I hate seeing them being beat by Dallas Cowboys.

Maybe next Saturday night's game against Dallas (can you believe they have to play Dallas AGAIN this weekend?) maybe they will play better.

I grew up in Philly and live in Philly suburbs now, so I am a loyal Eagles fan. They aren't Superbowl material though, sorry to have to say that. Too many mistakes in yesterday's game.
---Donna on 1/4/10

Trish, sorry you had to be sad for your Eagels loss. Being from Texas I must admit though I was excited to see Cowboys win. I even watched part of the game which I never do. What always makes me wonder is why a winning team goes all to pieces and loses. There is next weekend when they meet again. Y'all are talking about the cold, which I can't stand,I saw our forcast,it is to be 17 degrees at night here,Central Texas,by the end of the week, glad I don't have to get out in it. The terrible thing about this part of Texas we have had it 120 degrees in the Summer and then it may get really cold in the Winter,we don't have time to adjust to the drastic change. Have a wonderful New Year all. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 1/4/10

MarKV: I have no idea who that team was on the TV on Sunday. They may have said they were the Eagles, but I think they were imposters. Hopefully, the team I root for will show up on Sunday. LOL

As for the cold weather, I lived in Massachusetts when I was younger, for three yaers. I am not a huge fan of the cold these days. The older I get, the less tolerant I am.

Stay warm everyone.
---Trish9863 on 1/4/10

Trish, sorry the Eagles lost, in fact shut out. Not good. It seems they did not play their game and will have to do it again in Texas, it should be a good game.

Tom, you are right about the cold. I love cold but not freezing cold under 32. When I was living in San Jose, the weather was almost always around 50-70. When the temp reach 80-90 everyone begin to whin and complain, and when I visited my son in Arizona the temp was 120 one time. It was terrible that I don't know how people live there either, but many people love it, just like the cold.

Tom 2, that is my question. I live in nothern California and the weather is a little cool but never snows. I have relatives in Chicago and they tell me how they have to shovel their way in and out of their homes. I have been to Lake Tahoe and seen the snow, and love to see how beautiful it looks but would never like to live there.

Trish, I know what you are saying about football games. They too use to me so important to me that they would unsettle my spirit when they lost. I would be angry all day long. I can imagine how wives have to put up with their husbands when their team loses. Very bad for the whole family. That was before I was saved. Now they are ok but never the way they use to be.
---MarkV. on 1/3/10

bitterly cold weather,my question is ,how in the world do you people who live in the really cold areas do it?
---tom2 on 1/3/10

MarkV: The Eagles are still in the playoffs regardless of the outcome of today's game. Since they are in the same division, it would be nice to clinch the NFC East today.

It used to effect my mood, but now I just get disappointed, which is a far cry better than I used to be. My poor daughter-in-law has to deal with my son's overall disposition if they lose.

I sure hope you are having better weather than Philly. We will have a high in the twenties on Sunday.

Stay warm.
---Trish9863 on 1/3/10

Trish, I hope you have a great time enjoying the game. I don't say good luck because true believers don't believe in Luck, Fate, or chance.
The Cowboys use to be my team because I was born in Texas, but when they sold the team to Jerry, I took a hike and began to support the 49rs, for I have lived in Northern Ca. since I was 18 years old. The Cowboys have a great team but Philly seems to have their number. Hope you are still happy at the end of the game. Don't let it unsettle your spirit if Philly does not win. Blessings to you and family
