Devil's Right To Moses Body
The Bible says in Jude1-9 "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." Question, what right did the devil have to Moses body?

The devil has all the right to the body of Moses because of this particular statement must WE Bring You Water out of this rock. He gave the glory to himself and Aaron not to God whose Word brought the water out of the rock. Pride, anger and disobedience was found in him, even though it was the people who moved him to sin that was why he cannot enter into Gods rest.
However, on the throne of Judgment, Mercy was there on behalf of Moses for all his works before God. James 2 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Exodus 33: 19.

I don't believe the devil had the right to Moses body as he is a liar and will try to do anything he can to cause trouble.

mima, there is nothing but your own imagination, and therefore eisogesis, assuming that the Archangel Michael was trying to move the body of Moses so it could appear at the Transfiguration.

This Verse is taken from "The Assumption of Moses".
It corresponds to the many times Satan has accused saints before G-d. In the case of Moses it was argued by Satan that Moses could not go to heaven since he had committed Murder and had not been punished for this. He said the same with job. G-d rebuked Satan each time. Only God can have this authority to forgive a sin even if it is against laws. Satan was arguing the law and G-d said I will give mercy on whom I wish.
The Archangel Michael does not have this authority to forgive sin and passed it to G-d when he said G-d Rebuke you.

In order to add a little ingredients to the mix another factor should be considered.
The Archangel Michael was taking Moses' body in order that Moses could appear, and be recognized, at the mount of transfiguration. Proof, Matthew 17:3 "And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias(Elijah) talking with him."
Elijah was taken alive in a chariot of fire. But it was necessary for Moses body be taken to heaven and there apparently requicken(brought back to life) in order for him to appear recognizably at the amount of transfiguration.
The above scenario gives Cluny more rope to hang on.

Moses death was due to Moses' disobedience of God. he struck the rock, when he should have spoken to it. Thus he sinned.
Satan will lay claim to all humans who sin, he is the accuser of us all.
because moses death was due to disobedience to God, satan made a claim on it.

There you go with your eisogesis of scripture.
Where did you get the idea that this argument was about the devil's presumed right to the body of Moses, mima?
There's nothing there to say so.

This question arose after reading what Paul had to say about his flesh. In Romans seven
18 "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:" Satan did not dispute with the Angels over Moses body without any grounds to do so. But if there is no good thing or a flesh while we all are alive certainly the same would be true after death.

Only God has the right on anything, but there is at least one case (the case of God and devil in Job) where God gives satan permission to go and damage what God only has the right to keep, use, sustain or destroy. Could it be something like that?

None. What right does the devil have to anyone's body? Even unsaved people. Isn't God our Judge? not satan, right? So even if the person is unsaved, the devil still doesn't have a right to take that body to hell....am I missing something here?
I think satan is soooo evil, that he will try anything with anyone, including trying to take Moses's body.

The answer is not found in the bible and if using only the bible as a reference there is no answer avaliable.
The dispute was about the resurection of Moses, not his body since flesh and blood cannot go to heaven. There was a time peroid that lasted up to the time of the appearance of the spirit of truth where by resurection was only possible in mass except when certain persons were given special resurections.Satan knew this universe rule and protested to the resurection archangel.Moses was resurected(regained consciousness in a nonphysical form) prior to cruxifiction and the appearance of the spirit of truth.
