The Churches doctrine concerning the end times is full of pestilent errors and diseased doctrines. It needs to be reformed. The teachings that the pre-trib rapture, 7-year tribulation, the Antichrist STILL 'to come', the Armagedon, Jesus Christ returns and reigns for one thousand year's' while the devil is locked for one thousand years, then the devil is loosed out of his prison and deceives Gog and Magog (Russians) and they compass about the tents of the Saintes and the beloved city... are so exceedingly sore errors beyond words. It's actually sad. Because this was not what the Protestant Reformers believed at all.

John Calvin made very clear of his theology concerning the end times in the Geneva Bible (i.e., the Book of Revelation).
---Kev on 8/30/10

The Geneva Bible expounds the 20th chapter of Revelation most perfectly, and John Foxe's book ''The Actes and Monuments of Martyrs'' 1583 edition explains it well. Indeed, we are living in the days of Revelation 20:8-9 currently right now. That is how close Jesus Christ's second coming is. And beware, just as the Bible predicted there would be "huge deception" in the final days- so don't let any false teachers tell you that Jesus Christ cannot possibly return today (i.e. because this seal must happen first, or the pre-trib rapture, or 7-year tribulation etc. etc.)

The tents of the Saintes and the beloved city (no doubt meant Europe) now compassed about of Gog and Magog (Islamists). Christendom in the West is in serious trouble.

REVELATION 3:3 REMEMBER therfore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent.IF therfore thou shall NOT WATCH,I will come will come on thee as thief and thou SHALL NOT KNOW what HOUR I will come upon thee.
(IN this context a hour is time)
LUKE 21,34 BUT take heed to yourself, lest your heart be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, And THAT DAY COMES ON YOU UNEXPECTEDLY.For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Only JESUS KNOWS! Sometimes I wonder, how this world can stand another fifty years.
---catherine on 8/19/10

You often hear the term that in order to go when Jesus comes you must be "right with God". So that being the case how does one get "right with God"?
---mima on 8/19/10

The main focus is that you must be ready, because your # may be called to die. Even the rapture could take place the next second, minute, hr, day, week, mo, yr.

Only God knows.
---Lawrence on 8/19/10

Jesus Coming is closer today than yesterday! Keep your eyes on Jesus and cares of this world will have less hold on you. There is no prophesy or prophesied events that must occur before the return Of Christ to remove His Bride from this fallen world, to be with Him forever. Oh JOY! Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
---Kathryn on 7/30/10

I believe Jesus coming is near. To the Christian his duty is to be prepared. Make his salvation sure. Examine his own heart if he truely has a love for Christ, and whether the Spirit witnesses to his spirit that he is a child of God. If he is not sure, he better make sure. For no one who is lost seeks after God. Are you seeking as the Lord advices us? For whatever born of God are overcomers. And this is the victory that has covercome the world- our faith. They do not depart from the faith. If you are not following the Lord, then you are,
"they went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us, but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us"

michael_e, Do you think that naming him is pulling up the tares?
---aka_joseph on 5/12/10
aka, naming him would serve no purpose, for he has long since past, but he wasn't the only one making wrong predictions.
---michael_e on 5/14/10

the times of the gentiles has not yet been fulfilled

in luke jesus said about the end time generation that will be alive when he returns for them, that they will see jerusalem begin to be trampled before he comes, which is future in revelation 11

also the day of christ has not yet arrived, and arrives in the 6th seal

that day will not come until the apostasia comes first and the man of sin is revealed in the temple (AOD)
---glen on 5/14/10

Yes I do, if you look at Mathew chapter 24 and the headlines of what is going on in the world today, yep, its soon!
---L. on 5/13/10

According to that calculation, the Third Temple bad better be built within one year from today, or somebody has miscalculated!
---Strongaxe on 5/13/10

Well James, if we die by old age, accident or illness before he returns it doesn't really matter, but to answer your question NO.

No, because the one physical clue we have is Temple Mount which is nowhere close to being rebuilt.

The Temple must be rebuilt, for it is the stage where sacrifice, the rise of the anti-Christ and the Abomination of Desolation will unfold.

If generation is considered to be 70 years and we subtract 62 years from that figure we come up with eight years to arrive at 70 since 1948. Just something to think about!!!

I heard a preacher years ago, speaking of a generation being 40 years, 1988 came and went, no big deal. It just shows man never gets it right. Main thought, be ready

I do not think stinkin' flesh ever bothered God in the past, present, or future. But, it is stinkin' fruit that He will notice.
---aka_joseph on 4/30/10

May the 13th the state of Israel will be 62 years old. The Bible says the generation that sees these things began(maybe speaking here of May the 13th 1948) will see the end.
If generation is considered to be 70 years and we subtract 62 years from that figure we come up with eight years to arrive at 70 since 1948. Just something to think about!!!

yes thats right because we do not know when we are going to die

as for the coming of christ peter knew it wasn't "imminent" because he knew he was going to die first
---glen on 4/29/10

Be ready every day, for today could be "Your" day. We are suppose to be ready, in the Holy Spirit and without sin at all times. When you continue to obey: "Blessed that servant, whom their Lord when he comes will find so doing." Matthew 24:46. But if you turn away to sin, and say in your heart, My Lord delays his coming: The Lord of that servant will come in a day when that one not looking for, and in an hour that that one is not aware of." Matthew 24:50.

The AC kills the 2 witts, they rise from the dead and ascend into the heavens, a great earthquake happens & darkness fills the world, no sun, stars or moon to give light, this allows the world to see our Lord/bride & beheaded coming in all his glory, he will brighten the darkened skies with his glory as lightening does from the east to west.
Then the AC & FP will be cast into the Lake of fire along with those who took the mark 666, then the Lord will set foot on the Mt. of Olives and the ground will split all the way to the East gate and remove the graveyard that was built to keep the lord from entering it, he will open the gate and set up his kingdom for the 1000 yr reign, ect. ect.
---YLBD on 4/28/10

the END comes when the 2 witnesses finish they're ministry, and are killed , also the jewish trib saints, and 144000 are caught up
by END i'm talking about the end of the age, not the resurrection/rapture that comes in the 6th seal (that is the coming of the lord and indicates the fullness of the gentiles)
the 2 witnesses and others mentioned are the last saints to be caught up and the last saints to testify, while a remnant are saved after them and populate the millenium in they're mortal bodies
---glen on 4/26/10

Jerry, I believe your prophet to be wrong, not only that Christ was taken to the whole world 2,000 years ago but also wrong in that He is waiting when the character of the Savior shall be perfectly reproduced in His people.
No one of His children will ever be perfectly to the character of Christ while alive, we are been transformed in this life but we never reach perfection as Christ character. And the whole world did not know about Jesus two thousand years ago. Many nations in Africa did know about Him, China only resently has began to know Him and so many others. So E.G. White is wrong. It all sounds very religious but it is wrong.
---MarkV. on 4/24/10

Well James, the time of the Gentiles will end before Christ returns and its hard to believe that won't be obvious to those of us in North America.
Israel returning to Christ and the rebuilding of the Temple will also be obvious. Maybe the aforementioned and the abomination that brings desolation could all happen in the next 4 or 5 years but I doubt it.

You'd be better off finding a web cam of the Western Wall and checking it twice a week than listening to Van Impe and some of the other charlatans who manipulate scripture to sustain their ministries by scaring the snot out of some of our brethren.
God bless.

He is clothed with a robe dipped in Blood, and His name is called the "word of God". And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron, and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh, He has a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords Revelation 19: 13-16....Just a note: God is looking for people who will not turn back but continue marching forward. God's army, march forward. God's army shall march forward. Hallelujah.

Rod: The gospel was taken to the entire world by 12 men 2000 years ago. If God's church (spread among all denominations) were that on fire today, the gospel would again got to all the world. Jesus said:

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and THEN SHALL THE END COME.

When we are "of fire" for Christ, we perfectly reproduce His character.
---jerry6593 on 4/13/10

None of the disciples believe that Jesus had risen after his death until he met them in the upper room (Mark 16:13-15), but yet most of the modern churches teach that they thought he was going to "come again"? Why would they think he needed to "come again" when they didn't believe he was going to leave?
---jared on 4/12/10

jerry, I am not familiar with E.G.White's teachings, but it sounds like she is saying that the "church" will grow and grow until it takes over the whole world. In addition, that Christ won't come until, "When the character of the Saviour shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim His own." If that is the case, Christ won't be coming for quite awhile.

Biblically, Christ could come at any time. Those that teach certain prophecies have to happen first before He can come deny the teaching that Christ could come at any time. The same sounds true for what jerry is saying, until "the character is...perfectly reproduced" then Christ can come.

I read your words, and I tell myself how blessed you are?
And Im sure most everyone here, like you have no idea, what Im saying.

"Christ is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of Himself in His church. When the character of the Saviour shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim His own. It is the privilege of every Christian, not only to look for, but to hasten, the coming of our Lord. Were all who profess His name bearing fruit to His glory, how quickly the whole world would be sown with the seed of the gospel! Quickly the last great harvest would be ripened, and Christ would come." - E.G. White, Maranatha, p.112
---jerry6593 on 4/11/10

Yes, I believe that Jesus is coming back soon! I believe that the words spoken in Joshua 24:14:" Choose you this day whom you will serve" are very timely and serve to arouse us to realize the solemnity of the time ,the nearness of the day when human probation shall be ended.
The great work which schould occupy our mind is to consider our personal standing in the sight of God. Are our feet planted on the solid Rock? Are we hiding ourselves in the only safe refuge? Are we one with Christ as He is one with his Father?
The character of Christ is to be our character for nothing can seperate a living chrisian from God.

In ROM 13:12 we read that the night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light!.We are to make known the three angel's message and direct people to take their places among those who "keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."
We do not know when probation will end but due to the lateness of the hour it is now more than ever time to watch, work and wait for the end of all things is at hand.

Joel 2:1 tells us that we should sound the alarm for the day of the Lord's coming is right at the door!
One of my favorite authors writes that the things that concern our eternal welfare should now absorb our attenton.
We are living in the closing scenes of this earth history. Prophecy is rapidly fulfilling. The hours of probation are fast passing. We have no time to waste, not a moment to lose!
Don't say to yourself or to anyone else"The Lord is delaying His coming!" for when you least expect Him, He will come.
Jesus is soon to come and we need to prepare
so we may meet Him in peace! Let us determine to tell others too so that many might be ready and blessed by His soon coming!

We should understand the season or times leading up to his return. Quite frankly we are there, it started in 1948 when Israel land was won back.

Mat 16:1 Some Pharisees and Sadducees who came to Jesus wanted to trap him, so they asked him to perform a miracle for them, to show that God approved of him.
Mat 16:2 But Jesus answered, "When the sun is setting, you say, 'We are going to have fine weather, because the sky is red.'
Mat 16:3 And early in the morning you say, 'It is going to rain, because the sky is red and dark.' You can predict the weather by looking at the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs concerning these times!
