heaven is the reward for counterfeit christianity

Biblical Christianity found in Holy Scripture states Gods Kingdom on Earth is the reward for those who are resurrected to eternal life when Christ returns to rule the earth

to reign with Christ as Kings and priests

earth is the inheritance of the saved, the meek, the righteous it is where the Fathers will be ruling under Christ - Abram, Issac, Jacob and where King David and Apotles and all others Christ has worked with in OT/NT Rom 4:13, Psa 37:9,11,22,29, Mat 5:5, Rev 5:10

Christ plainly stated no man can go to heaven John 7:34

Holy Scripture never uses Kingdom of Heaven to define the third heaven AKA the Heavenly Fathers Throne
---Rhonda on 10/12/10

No man, or women, could ever, in their wildest imagination, use worldly knowledge to describe what heaven will be like for christians.
---Steveng on 10/12/10

Come on now, that was a beautiful peace of work. Praise God+
---catherine on 10/12/10

Catherine - I think you have "heaven" (sky and air) confused with the third heaven where God reigns.
---larry on 10/11/10

Heaven>>>is not eternal. The days come when heaven is no more. As God once spread out the heavenly tent, so He will WRAP UP the heavens like a SCROLL [Isa. 34:4]. A new heaven and new earth will appear. [Man, what a God] [Isa. 65:17, 66:22]. Heaven is God's treasure chest, storing treasures such as rain, wind, fiery lightning, snow, hail, dew, and frost. Heaven is a channel of communication between God and His people....Note: The word heaven is also used as a substitute for the name of God [Luke 15:18, John 3:27]. Heaven is not a divine haven where God can isolate Himself from earth. It is the divine workplace, where He send blessings to His people and punishment on His enemies.

Words are not adequate to describe perfectly the kingdom of perfection. If you can imagine a place completely devoid of all suffering and violence and sin, a place completely full of all righteousness in all things and in all places, pure unadulterated love for everyone, that is our prardise. Our home with Jesus is beyond all human comprehensions.

"...seeing he was there."? What makes you so sure the author of "90 minutes in heaven" was actually there Jeff?

I agree Larry.
---Leon on 7/28/10

You should read "90 minutes in heaven" It may be the closest thing to an answer a living person can give, seeing he was there.

Donna5535, Satan said to Eve "Your eyes will be open and you will be like God" Gen3.4.
You're no different than the rest of us who await the resurrection of our dead loved ones!
Our "home" is on God's footstool Psl.115.16,(doesn't sound like rubbish to me)
Blessed are the meek for they "inherit" the earth! "inherit" something when someone dies, right? The evil ones will be killed off at Armageddon, the meek, saved Christian, will be left to enjoy God's glory in restored Eden on earth! (our home)
Do you really want to float around on a cloud playing a harp?

"What awaits Christians when they get to heaven"
"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1Cr 2:9
Personally, what I currently aspire to is being brought to a knowledge and understanding, that is given to truly experience and bring forth the righteousness, peace, and Joy found in complete surrender to His indwelling guidance, influence, and inspiration, in this life, on this earth.

---1st_cliff on 7/26/10 and be "like gods"!
Happy fundamentalists on the broad road!

1st cliff- WHAT are you smoking? LOL

I have never heard such rubbish from you ever. You usually give good truthful, biblical answers.

NO ONE SAID WE WANT TO BE "LIKE gods." That's STUPID. We do however, want to be WITH God. I've had 3 miscarriages, so I want to be with my children in heaven and I want to Worship Father God with my children, how is that being a fundamentalist? The bible says, "Heaven is my home and earth is my footstool says the Lord God." Hello? 1st cliff, where is your brain today?
---Donna5535 on 7/27/10

Well Darlene, we can describe attributes such as worship but the words for its beauty are beyond the ability of our language to envelope.
We have a glimpse in Daniel and Revelation on the "shadow" of God's glory, his throne and the worshiping elders including the Seraphim and Cherubim which are a type of angel that in my small understanding sound frightening and weird. Animals with human faces with eyes all about and such. From scripture we know there is much praise and the praise is loud.
Imagine perfect celestial bodies with no aging, need for sleep or even food. Wow.
---larry on 7/26/10

In Heaven, God's children will be in the presence of God 24/7. They will worship Him, bowing to Him, and laying their crowns (of what they did on Earth) before Him. For the people that do not like to worship God here on Earth, thinking it's boring, you will be very bored in Heaven - since that is what you will mostly do.
---Leslie on 7/26/10

Wow,I dunno, who's got their head in the clouds! The grass is always greener on the other side!
God created a wonderful planet here for man,but no,never satisfied, want to live in heaven and be "like gods"!
1st. No one can see God and live- Ex.33.6
2nd. The "new earth" is for man (it's not another heaven)
3rd. Jesus is taking "some" with Him to be co-Kings and Priests (even judging angels)

"I'm going whether He chooses me or not,NO No, we're all going, who wants to live on a dumb earth anyway? Ya! we will gather at the river" (heavenly river ,that is)
Happy fundamentalists on the broad road!
---1st_cliff on 7/26/10

Darlene, to me, being in the presence of God is heaven. The result (not reward) of believing on Christ is salvation. The rewards come in when we present our produce. That is, our fruit grown because of the Spirit.

I guess I am just paying with words..

but I too believe it is for TRUE service to the Lord. Is there a better way to praise Him?
---aka.joseph on 7/26/10

Darlene, thank you, but I love your posts the most. I always look to see if you've responded and read yours first.

Granted there are some good posters in addition to you, but you have captured my heart with your responses, so full of truth and you give God ALL the Glory!!! Amen and Amen.

Thanks Darlene for continuing the blog question I asked that ultimately got trashed at the end. There are two things I want to say on the subject:

1.) God alone is good & being in His body of believers gives us the assurance of being partakers in His goodness. While we will sit at His table, as Eloy has pointed out, that's not all we'll be doing because we've been saved to serve (not only in this earthly life but also) in eternity.

2.) This certainly isn't a question for unbelievers because they haven't the Holy Spirit guidance & understanding of what Heaven will be like. Like the song says, "Everybody talkin' 'bout Heaven ain't goin' there."
---Leon on 7/26/10

Donna5535 I love your thinking. As the old song goes "Won't it be wonderful there", I don't want to question God but I have asked him plaese let me sing for him. I would love to sing a special that I had written, with the heavenly chorus singing backup. Ha ha not asking for much am I?
---Darlene_1 on 7/26/10

Darlene, for me it's being in the presence of God for ALL eternity!

I can't wait to meet God and Jesus and alot of others up there.

I believe we will all get our "time" with God to Worship Him and I want to sit down and have coffee with Him and ask him a few questions like, "Why did I have to stay on earth for as long as I did?" LOL

Heaven is BLISS!! I've heard that it is BEAUTIFUL and there's no need for the sun because the SON (his brillance) lights up the place!!!
