In some ways God is proud. He loves to show off His power, like in storms, earthquakes, floods, ect. Also, He expects everything to be for His glory and for His honor. [one reason why He saves some]. When Jesus walked among us He made Himself lower than the angels, IS TRUE. He was weak while He was on that cross. But, now, He is ALL-POWERFUL.

God isnt even proud. He is meek and lowly. He became one of his own creation and allowed himself to be slaughtered at our hand in order to save us from our own evildoing.
I dont understand what you mean by 'spiritual pride'.

PRIDE IS PRIDE, GOD HATES PRIDE. Plan and simple. Don't you just love it. True Christians, must guard. Guard against: Boasting, Thinking more highly of oneself than you ought to....Remember, you are nothing without God. OBEY HIM, and perhaps you will be safe....The opposite of pride is humility. True humility is total dependence upon the living God+ Unbelievers, You use a lot of big words. Like humble. You don't know the true meaning of the word. love is another word. If it's not coming from God from the living God then it's hypocritical. Sometimes, you can feel God's hate. I know that He is upset about something. it can rise up inside of me. So, God can hate and God can love. Learn!

I imagine so few people responded to this topic because it hits too close to home...

I have spiritual pride. Spiritual pride is not thinking that you're better than someone else it is knowing that you are being used by Almighty God. Certainly the acknowledge of being used humbles one. But on the other hand I've had pastors (in their church) come to me fall on their knees and ask me to pray for them that they might be bold. When such things happen to me I tend to swell up with spiritual pride.

When you think you are better than others(especially sinners) because you have been saved.
Mostly crackpots and fanatics who really don't have a true understanding of the Word of God and what they need to do. They may not even be saved.
Spiritual pride causes you to judge, beat others over the head with your bible and just be outright annoying. Make people avoid Christians and Christianity.
Always judging and picking at others about spiritual things.
They have misunderstood everything of God and are headed to Hell and don't know it.
Makes you reject all other christians, denominations who don't agree with their church and teachings.
Spiritual pride is an ugly disease that blinds a person to the truth of their condition.

"Oh wretched man/woman that I am."
I do understand what Paul meant. The closer we walk with the Lord, the deeper our walk becomes, the more we see our faults, weaknesses, and sins.
I remember Rick Joyner saying one time, God doesn't want to change your flesh, he wants to Kill it. How true.
We are nothing without Him. Jesus is our Righteousness. We stand complete in Him and Worship Him. Jesus Christ Our Lord. He is all my righteousness, etc., (Do you remember that song?)

Spiritual pride is your idea that you are more spiritually advanced or closer to God than the next person. The implication is that God has more respect for you than for someone else. But God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34. It is a grave error to think that he is.

"What Is Spiritual Pride"
Thinking more highly of oneself, than one should.
How high is that?
Thinking of oneself as superior, overall, to any other man.
"What is the difference between PRIDE and spiritual pride? " There is none.

When I discover how wrong someone is, do I welcome this as an opportunity to look down on someone, so I have a chance to feel superior? OR . . . do I first have compassion for the person and hope for the person to be forgiven and changed by God? And, by changed, I mean *cured* the way it is possible with God to cure any person of any evil, at all. Because love "hopes all things," we have in 1 Corinthians 13:7. So, do I first have hope for any person, or am I first about welcoming an opportunity to be judging and criticizing someone?
I can criticize someone, in order to get my excuse not to get involved with the person. Or, I can love the person and not fear the person. Pride, I guess, then, can be camouflaged fear.

Christianity has an extreme amount of spiritual pride.Spiritual pride is the same as swelling up with the idea and concept as being the so called "chosen people".The jews in Jesus' day acted the same way. They thought they were doing God a favor.
