Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

looks like most will not

CATHERINE ON 10/26/19 - Once saved always save is not in the BIBLE.

ISAIAH 45:17 - But Israel shall be save in the LORD with an everlasting salvation,ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
( In the BIBLE Israel is reputational of the kingdom of GOD )
---RICHARD on 11/14/10

The word of God tells us...Hell hath enlarged herself. So it sounds like there may be more going than what God intended there to be. For we know from the holy scriptures that Hell was indeed made for the devil and his angels. The word also tells us...Straight is the way and narrow is the gate, and FEW be that find it. So again, it sounds like there will be FEW in heaven and MORE than intended in hell.

I beleive the path to salvation is Jesus Christ-Word of God.

Some may believe God exist-and may believe they are following His path(His Word)-but- are Not.
The are following another word-instead.(anti)

The salvation is still there-it is eternal-however-they are on the wrong path or may be going astray.

The Holy Spirit is our teacher. 1 Cor 2,Jn 14-15-17 (One)
Repentance bring you to remission.
Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations , beginning Jerusalem...

Okay Ruben let's move one verse John 10:29 reads," My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." Now do you still believe we can be lost? And he's got a real strong grip stronger than any force in the world!!!
---mima on 10/26/10

Nothing in that scripture verse says we can not walk away. In Luke 15 11:32 , it shows where a Son is in the Hand of God, but ask for his share of his estate and the Father(God) lets us leave if we which. The Parable goes on and tell us that the Son returns and ask for forgiveness and the Father goes on and says "For this son of mine Was dead (Left the Hand) and is alive again (Return to the Hand) " v24

Sadly to say many won't.Scripture does say Hell is being expanded.
---shirley on 10/26/10

Scripture tells us this:

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 10:1-3 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth, and the sheep hear his voice: and HE CALLETH HIS OWN SHEEP BY NAME, and leadeth them out."

Outside of Jesus Christ, all will perish in the Lake of Fire.

Okay Ruben let's move one verse John 10:29 reads," My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." Now do you still believe we can be lost? It is not our holding onto God it is God holding on to us. And he's got a real strong grip stronger than any force in the world!!!
---mima on 10/26/10

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me."
John 10:28

---mima on 10/26/10

True and Amen on that scripture verse, however we can get lost:

"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? ... Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me, I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." Luke 15:4-7

Notice it says "Who repents"
---Ruben on 10/26/10

Catherine wrote this,"Once saved always saved is not in the Bible, either. Bite the dust.
---catherine on 10/26/10

Which is technically correct. But I want to go way out on a limb and submit that eternal life is comparable to once saved always saved!!

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from me."
John 10:28

---mima on 10/26/10

No, in the first judgment of the world, only 8 souls were saved, Noah and his family. Most choose sin over salvation, and they choose the wide and broad road that leads to destruction, rather than the strait and narrow way of righteousness.
---Eloy on 10/26/10

I don't believe this, you are talking about something I wrote six months ago. If I fell to tell you people the truth, as God gives it to me, you end up in hell, God will hold me responsible. ON JUDGMENT DAY. And your Blood will be on my hands. The Bible calls it, "Spiritual manslaughter". Once saved always saved is not in the Bible, either. Bite the dust.
---catherine on 10/26/10

Catherine, if you are saved, God will not accuse you of mans-slaughter at the Great White Throne of Judgment. For those who are in Christ do not go before the Lord there, but go to the Judgment Seat of Christ, where genuine believers in Christ go. For there is no condemnation to those in Christ. The reason you tell others about hell and Christ is because the Spirit of God within you, moves you to tell others about Christ. If there is no Spirit of God within you then you are held accountable for that too. People need to know, because among them are many of the elect. They will hear the Truth, they will believe by faith, and they will be saved. All others will reject the Truth
---MarkV. on 10/26/10

For those of you who thinks that you would love to go traveling in outer-space. Well, get a load of this! Keep in mind while you are reading this, that heaven and earth has passed away. [God is a supernatural God]. The sinner is now brought face-to-face with God the Son, from whom he cannot escape....They will be upheld by God in space. This is a deeply solemn scene that merges into eternity. Remember, the Great white Throne judgment will take place between the passing of the Millennial [Latin words, meaning 1000 years] scene and the entrance on the new heaven and earth. You can find this, I think, well, I know it's in Revelation 20. Anyways it's way back in Revelation.
---catherine on 10/25/10

Okay here it is folks: God is a Righteous, Holy, God. He will place most in hell. A God who hates sin. A God who won't punish sin is no God at all. God is God. You cannot make Him out to be anything other than what He is. A God who hates sin and will punish sinners. Unless, He chooses you, and you confess to Him that you are a sinner and that you need Him, so you too can escape HELL. What in this world have you got to lose, my friends, besides HELL? Hallelujah. Thank You Jesus. You all have a nice week, as unto the Lord, or your week will not count for-anything+ Good day.
---catherine on 10/25/10

Most choose sin, and not salvation.

catherine: It is my job to warn you that you are in danger of the lake of fire, as you do not season your words of reproof with the grace of Christ. Christians are known by the fruits they bear - by displaying the love of Jesus in all their dealings with others. Perhaps you really are a warm and loving Christian, but it hasn't shown up here.
---jerry6593 on 8/28/10

Catherine, GOD has anointed your words. You have spoken the Truth, and that, quite plainly and well. Now, if the doubters will only heed...there would be rejoicing in Heaven!
---Gordon on 8/28/10

It is my job to tell you people about hell, And what is going to happen to you, if you die in your SINS. If I do not tell you, warn you, then this living God will accuse me of spiritual man-slaughter on judgment day. Now, I am not going to have that. No way.++ I must say some of you must be worried. Good. Hallelujah.
---catherine on 8/27/10

\\If you are saved do not look down on other people. You barely escaped yourself.
---catherine on 8/21/10

Then why do you express rejoicing at the idea of people going to hell, as you have done several times?

Take your own advice, catherine.

Using a number of the top per - say Not a correct number. 7000,000,000 of people in the world since Adam & Eve, The O - Testament people died & the N - Testament people died while serving God, even those that are living & then the rapture, then God goes back to the Jewish people 144,000, there would be like 7,000,000 to be in heaven.

Many of the rest living today would be left here to be in the great battle in that valley spoken of where the blood will be up to the bridle of the horse Jesus Himself would be riding on. As big as that valley is, that's a Lot of people.

I cant help but think to myself, when I read questions like this.
Or when I read some of the things people say are in the bible.

When the lord clearly said:
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Also being told:
We are to judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come!

The lord said all things are possible with God, not some, but all!
So what does this leave behind, I honestly feel there is nothing.
Except what you personally expect or believe from or about God.
Your own understanding of God! Not his!

But, the lord said:
God Is Able Of These Stones To Rise Up Children!

Matthew 22 says that "many are called, but few are chosen..." This refers to the "general" call of the Gospel. Of the ones who "hear the call" only a few will actually respond and receive saving grace. The Scriptures often speak of "remnants", and that is true with the number of saved people. Only a remnant of the world's total population will be saved from eternity in the Lake of Fire.
---tommy3007 on 8/21/10

Thank you for your responses. Josef made the most sense. The other answers give lie to Paul's assertion that God is the Saviour of all (1.Tim.4:10), that it is God's will that all be saved (1.Tim.2:4), and Jesus' promise that He would draw all men to Himself (John.12:32). Think about it...

Believers in Noah's time were few, although there were many people.

Believers in Christs' earthly ministry were few although there were many people.

I believe when it says few, it means few.
---michael_e on 8/21/10

It shows a few will be saved. however we donot know the meaning of "few" in Gods eyes.So therefore we should not speculate on such things.

Most people will be unsaved. The Scriptures say in MATTHEW 7:13-14 "Enter ye in at the Strait Gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to Destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat: Because Strait is the Gate, and Narrow is the Way, which leadeth unto Life, and FEW THERE BE that find it. The "Life" here is referring to "Eternal Life in Heaven". Few, in comparison, will go there. The "Destruction" is the ultimate and final Destruction, which is the Lake of Fire, and MANY, in comparison, are going there. It's true that GOD is willing that none perish. But, "willing" here means "desires". He desires that none perish. For He does not force Salvation on anyone.

Most people will go to hell!!! I have seen figures of 85% of people being lost . While I cannot confirm any percentage I believe the Bible teaches that the vast majority of people will go to hell.
The truthfulness of the statement is both shocking and I sad.
---mima on 8/21/10

God saves who he has chosen to save prior to creation and further speculation on this subject is pointless wast of time.

Blog on real Christians issues, this is not one. You are merely trying to second guess YHWH, and that show extreme disrespect!!!

Jesus says "few" find the straight and narrow way (Matthew 7:14). But Revelation 7:9-10 shows "a great multitude which no one could number" who were "before the Lamb". But "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb." (in Revelation 7:14)

It does not say "everybody" appears "before the Lamb" to worship Him.

"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17) So, our assurance for "the day of judgment" is that we become "as He is . . . in this world." 1 Peter 3:4.

Ger.toshav The reason "we both labour and suffer reproach, [is] because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, 'specially' (From the Greek word "malista" meaning-In the greatest degree or particularly) of those that believe. 1 Ti 4:10
For "He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world." 1Jo 2:2
"Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."1Ti 2:4
Therefore my personal belief is that most people will be indeed saved. If only as by fire:o) 1Cr 3:15
