Please continue to pray for Trish she won't be coming on but still is in a lot of pain and trying to deal with other problems too,so she does need us to lift her up in prayer. She sends her deepest thanks and goodbyes to all who have been kind enough to pray for her. Thank you. God Bless.
---Darlene_1 on 9/30/10

Frank you're welcome and God's blessings on you and yours.
---Darlene_1 on 9/28/10

Darlene 1,
Thank you and may God bless.
---Frank on 9/28/10

Frank welcome back. The Moderators have a policy of not posting on the weekend at all, sometimes they may do it on Sunday anyway but not all the time. I have no idea if they have fewer Moderators now.
---Darlene_1 on 9/28/10

What has happened around here since I visited about 2 or 3 years ago?
It seems entries don't get posted near as often as they used to.
Are they short of mods?
---Frank on 9/27/10

Trish,I'm praying for you dear Sister.
---Darlene_1 on 9/27/10

I would really appreciate your prayers this week, because I am still having extreme pain, and going back to the pain specialists early. The pain meds I have do not do a thing to help me. I was taking a narcotic pain med, which I diligently took as directed, and I ran out.

Mary,Amen he sure is good. They will be moving my EXP's wife to rehab nursing home this week. They said she will have good days and bad ones but she is stong willed and determined and they think she is ready for rehab. The main thing is she is strong in faith and that makes her ready.
---Darlene_1 on 9/27/10

Praise the Lord! :) God is good!
---Mary on 9/26/10

Mary, thank you so much for all your prayers. She is in the midst of a miracle. My best friend just was coming out of the hospital when I called and she called me back to say the EXP's wife is talking, knows everyone, and the Pastor said she was grey in the face and now the pink is back. God is so good and faith still moves mountains. God Bless You
---Darlene_1 on 9/24/10

Darlene, I am very sorry. I pray she will somehow get better, God bless her dear heart. And God bless yours too.
---Mary on 9/23/10

My ExPastors wife isn't doing well. She had another stroke on the other side now and they aren't holding out much medical hope. Please pray for a miracle and for the Pastor and family.
---Darlene_1 on 9/23/10

Please pray for my ExPastors wife, she had a stroke and can't speak and can't use the right side of her body. They both are wonderful Christians and in their 70's. They're planning to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on the 23rd. God is able to restore her. Pray for her family too she has 4 children and many Grandchildren. God bless
---Darlene_1 on 9/21/10

Hi Trish :) Glad you're doing better, praise God. :) How are you feeling now?
---Mary on 9/18/10

Hi Mary,
I am doing much better today. Minimal pain, and more mobility.

Thank you so much for your prayers and concern. I believe the Lord is healing me faster than I anticipated.
---Trish9863 on 9/16/10

Hi Trish, how are you feeling today dear? Hope you're resting and recuperating. God bless.

Thanks Mary. I am very sore today. God has given me a slow, lazy day to recuperate. I am grateful.
---Trish9863 on 9/14/10

Hi Trish, I'm praying for you tonight dear. May God bless and comfort you and keep you strong. Wish I had the gift of healing--and could heal over the net lol--really :) Anyway, God bless you Trish.

I would appreciate prayer for the surgical procedure I had done today. I am in considerable pain, and was told it could be 4-6 weeks before I learn if it was successful, until then, bruising and pain.

---Trish9863 on 9/13/10

I would appreciate prayer. I had a surgical procedure this afternoon that has me in a huge amount of pain. Please pray for me to be strong and not relapse with my drinking.

MarkV thank you so much for the Happy Birthday wishes. As far as body age and heart age and physical ability,my husband says "the can do can't keep up with the want to',how true ha ha. Your welcome, thanks also for the nice words about what I shared on faith, you are always so very kind. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 9/13/10

Darline, I read you 9/2/10 post and first I want to say Happy Birthday. Second, what you shared with everyone was really great concerning your faith in the Lord. I know that it came from heart. Thank you for sharing how you feel and your faith with all of us. Again, Happy Birthday, and so many more. I know what you mean by saying your heart is still 16 years old. Your mind thinks just as if you were still young. I feel the same way. But I know how much I can do now, I try not to do things that I know I cannot anymore, or I find myself hurting for trying to do them. Peace I leave you.
Trish, I have not forgotten you. You are in my prayers.
---MarkV. on 9/10/10

Shira3877 I live in Bell County also and this is the worst flooding we've had in many, many years. I don't doubt 13 inches at all,the paper said 12 but it all depends on where you were in the County. That is a long time to be without cooling but we were blessed it wasn't hot in my house. Trish thank you,I'm glad nothing hit your area. I will be praying for you, take care. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 9/10/10

Darlene 1, my daughter lives in Bell co and she sent me the video and photos of flooding. Her device that measures rain was 13 inches. Her electricity was out also for about 15 hours.

Darlene, I am so sorry you were so hit by a tropical storm. That is not pretty. I am glad you are safe, and that things were not as bad as they could have been for you, with the flooding and all.

We got nothing with Tropical Storm Earl, which came up the coast last week, but did nothing where I live.

I am having a lot of trouble staying awake these days. Must go through caffeine withdrawal due to dehydration. Caffeine acts as a diuretic, and I was drinking a lot of iced tea and such.
---Trish9863 on 9/9/10

larry, the season hasn't been as quite as you think but I'm glad it was for you. A Tropical Storm moved into Texas from the Gulf of Mexico and worked its way all across Texas. In Central Texas alone we got 10 inches of rain overnight, there was wide spread flooding. People had to be rescued from the roof of mobile homes and houses. Three mobile homes washed into the flooding creek. One woman died. We were without electricty for 14 hours and our swimming pool which was so pretty and blue all summer is now nothing but a big black mud pie where soil and leaves washed into it. It was all around a bad experience and the season isn't over until December.

The peak (Sept 10) of the hurricane season which is so far quiet for the southeast and thankfully miles away from the doom and gloom predicted by Dr. Gray and others.

Praise God regardless of the weather, but I am oh so thankful.

Hi Trish, I'm so sorry about the painful anniversary and the loss of your brother. I still miss my big brother too, your brother is happy now though and in the meantime, may God bless you.
---Mary on 9/7/10

Today, September 7th, would be my older brother's 59th birthday, but the Lord saw fit to have him Home with Him almost three years ago.

I am feeling out of sorts because today is the first day of school for the district I taught in, but I turned in my resignation already due to health concerns.

Trish thank you. Mama's boyfriend's Birthday is Sept.6 also and he will be 84. Your Mom has been strong to go through that in such a short time. I too appreciate our friendship and thanks for all the prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 9/3/10

Mary thank you so much. Just a little story. Last year on my Birhday Mama called and wished me Happy Birthday and then ask "How old ae you?" I said 71,and she replied "You're old!", I ask "What does that make you?" and had a good laugh, she was 91. My Birthday starts off blessed because I still have my 92 year old Mama and all my family not far away. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 9/3/10

Darlene, Happy Mom's birthday is September 6, and she turns 84. God has worked miracles in her, as she has already buried two of her children in the past four years. I pray you have a blessed weekend, and appreciate our friendship.

Congratulations AKA! That's great news.
---NurseRobert on 9/2/10

i got a new position that will translate to a few more dollars, which will pay for putting my children on my insurance this next calendar year.

plus, i had a traveling audit position. this one will require zero travel. that is great now that my children are with me (and i still have not been able to replace the car i totaled in May.)

i found out right before I was starting to plan a trip that would have kept me away for most of Sept. i didn't have any idea what i was going to do with the children.

God brings tears of joy or/and of purification to my eyes everday in so many ways.

September 4 is coming "up",my birthday when I'm 72 years old. It's amazing how quickly time passes. The odd thing about aging is the heart doesn't age at the same pace,my heart is still 16,loving to go on rollercoasters and still thinking about what a white water rafting adventure would be like. My heart wants to do things my body will not agree to. I think a good thing about aging is having learned to be content in what ever state we find ourselves. To thank God for all things in life and not worry about what I can't change or don't have. To always be grateful for all God has done for me and rest in him, knowing his love covers my life. Bad times in life pass but the good ones remain in our hearts forever,a beautiful gift from God.
