If God knows every thought we have, every move we make before we even do it, why are we here? He already knows who's going to heaven and who is going to hell?

Good to have your studies back.
There are sheep....out there, some will hear. Some will look, some will follow the word....and asking and searching for truth.

Psalm 95:7
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
Ezekiel 34:11
For thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.

Good thing you're using a translation that has replaced the divine name with 'LORD'! You might get yourself lumped in with the 'heretics' if you used one that reflected the actual Hebrew:

Hah, i'm lumped with them anyway just for honoring or posting the prophets.
i'm careful with the true name as we know it. Is a pearl not to be handed/thrown out by me casually.
Even a lost Sheep is familiar with the reference to our "Lord". Milk drawn, weaned to meat in due time. Much like ourselves.....or me anyway.
Ezekiel 34:12
As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered, so will I seek out my sheep,...

God created man to rule over His creation and for a relational purpose. There are to many scriptures that contradict the idea He knows all things completely. Genesis 3:11-13 asked the women what have you done, i.e. why have you done this you have messed up my plan 3:22 result, not what God planned,6:5,6,

To say He created knowing every detail and the end result of every persons choices in life rejects the fact that everything He made was good. If He knew in advance man would sin man was not good. It would be saying, what I have created is good though I purposely created those who are evil to show my glory and because I can and can still justly say I love them.
---willa5568 on 7/2/11

People are created on earth because it pleases God. Likewise you can ask yourself, Since a parent already knows what their own children are going to do before they do it, which ones will do good and which ones will do bad, then why does the parent let their children work and play and do the things that they do?

[In the day] [adam-mankind] was Formed is was for a choice to be made.

(bereshiyt -In beginning)"Elohiym" fattened the [adm-human] in his image-fattened him, male and female he fattened them.
God's Word to [Adm] believe and follow.
[In the day] Elohyim created (something out of nothing) All souls were "complete". Job 38:7
[In this day] we are [formed from dust-adamah] to function as Him "complete " but only by following His Word-instructions-[path] that leads to completeness- function as He functions (mirrored image).

Sorry for delayed-
being blessed...

Chosen people-have set you apart from the nations to be my own. (Lev 20:26)
Hebrew here is "badal" meaning "set apart" also used in Gen 1:18 Just as God separates the light from the darkness, God has also separated Israel from the other nations. Again witnessed with "Exodus"
[alleh sh mth]-defined as "The Names".

The Names of the [Seed-line] to which the Messiah would come.

I do believe there is a difference between create and formed and [In the day] we were created,[before a division] it was for Gods pleasure.

We were created to give glory and honor to God. If God knows everything already why are you here? Because He wanted you to be here. And yes, He already knows who is going to heaven." But you don't." If you believe in Jesus Christ works on the Cross by faith, you are were destined for heaven, if you don't, you were destined to continue on the path to hell.

Some souls are here to make the definitive choice.
Others were chosen to teach it-without waiver- they were predestined before the foundation of this world and justified.

Francisca, actually if God did not form man out of the dust of the earth, and breath into him a living soul we would not exist to begin with.

Adam and Eve were not BEGOTTEN sons, but created ones. But it took the created ones to BE transformed into begotten ones.

This is all explained in 1st Corinthians 15.

God formed man for the purpose of raising him to share in God's Glory a New Creature, never promised to Adam & Eve in their earthly claymation state. Man was originally formed below the angels, those today transformed by Christ are actually placed in Christ in a position above Angels.

Mary, God does know every move we make and every thought in our minds and what we are going to say before we say it. What we are going to do in the future, He already knows. His glory shines through all believers and the world sees His glory wherever we go. He planned it that way and not because He was in need of any glory. His all sufficient in and of Himself, in need of nothing. Praise be to God who we can trust our lifes to, for by faith we are in His hands.
---Mark_V. on 11/22/10

---mary on 11/22/10

A lot of people ask this. Nobody has a complete answer. But our lives are much more than just an eternal destination. Humans need companionship (Just as God desires to fellowship with man.)

We can ease the pain, physical or emotional, of some people we meet (or, sadly, increase it). God uses such for our spiritual growth. God can give to men through other men, knowledge or sustenance.

God has given men intelligence and creativity to develop marvels from the substances and principles He created. God himself enjoyed creating ..After He made everything, he "saw that it was good". Just my imagination, but I can envision God looking at all HE has made and anticipating what man will do with it.

Because "so called" Christians (and their churches) are ignorant and offensive to anyone with a normal level of intellect.

Since these "Christians" and their churches cannot be like Saul and argue with facts. Themselves not believing and embarassed of Jesus.

Because they are embarrassed and totally ingnorant of HIM!

We were put here to glorify and honor God. That's it. everything else is just a by-product of our life here on earth. Originally this is all that we were to do. God made man in his image. He was lonely then made man for His own pleasure. When sin entered the picture that messed everything up. Now we live in misery, pain and every sin, imaginable. Lost souls in need of a Saviour.
---Robyn on 11/20/10

Christian, thank you so much for all of your answers. It is so clear what is said about God. From the very beginning of creation to the end of Revelation, it is all about His glory.
---Mark_V. on 11/17/10

Franciska, we are here to bring Him glory. That is what its all about. And while He is doing that, He displays His love, mercy and justice. There was a time, if time could be called, when God was in the unity of His nature, subsisting equally in three Divine Persons, all alone. There was no heaven, where His glory is now particulaly manifested, no earth, no angels to sing hymns to Him, and no universe to be be held by the word of His power. The creating of all of them when He did, added nothing to God essentially. He was under no constraint, no obligation, no necessity to create. That He chose to do so was purely a sovereign act on His part, cause my nothing outside of Himself, determined by nothing but His mere good pleasure.
---Mark_V. on 11/15/10

It's true,God in His Power could easily end it all in a word, but in His mercy,He has given us a chance to willfully follow Him, and until that day comes, evil intent will flourish. God wants everyone to live together in harmony, but this can't be accomplished until evil influence is wiped out, and this will not happen until evil intent is banished forever from the minds of people. The slightest bit of greed or self-indulgence keeps that from happening,so we are here to learn how to choose what is right, so we are able to turn a deaf ear to the temptations and emotional influences of Satan and the World. In the end, God wants to have a people who consciously, and wholeheartedly follow Him without any coercion from Him.

Like many here, I remember driving down a road at about 100mph.
Many keep missing the sign that says last exit before toll.
Why are we here, where else would a sinner be? Let me think!
As subtle as a night stick! There still time!

Mat 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

God can use anyone, the wicked and the Saints for His glory, as He sees fit. That is why we are here, to glorify God. God takes pleasure in all of His creations. Sister, Mankind is like a corn of wheat... and except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit in the harvest to come.

Mankind is here b/c God's Will is to reap a Fruitful Harvest of Children in His Own Image which shall abide with Him... and even though God does know who's going to Heaven & Hell, just like a farmer knows which part of the harvest shall be reaped into his barn and which part shall be left to burn in/with the field, he must still sow his seed or there would be no harvest to speak of.

Ref. ~ John 12:24, Matt.13:30
---ShawnM.T. on 11/11/10

He knows, but let's not confuse that with him making everything what it is in it's time. In a broader sense this is true because all came from him and while knowing the beginning from the end none of it was held back.

Or was it. My wife and I conceived a child in the year 1999, and in the fall of that same year she was in an auto accident and miscarried. I call that mercy. It's another life that will never have to live out the horrors and miseries of this world. It's a life that lives even now knowing only God.

The fact of the matter is that we don't know, so we are left to do our best in his image with our form and many of us are putting angels to shame.
---Pharisee on 11/11/10

God desires to show love and to be loved. That is his nature. Contrary to what others may believe I honestly believe that God experiences lonliness as well.

I believe all the things that God has made were made so that He could love them and that they could love him in return, even though He knew that some wouldnt.

If you knew your only child would hate you when they turned 19 would you abort them in the womb or enjoy the 18 years of happiness with them before they turned against you?

I think creating things and watching them grow gives God great pleasure. We experience a small amount of that joy watching our own children grow.

God gives us free will. We choose to do what we want. Also if you do your research like many posted on thease blongs, hell is the grave, death. NOT a physical burning fire. jewish people burned the dead in a pit, Jesus told the stories or lessons in parables, related to how Jewish people thought back then.

Because God is all-knowing and has declared the end from the beginning, does not negate the purpose of his creating. Man is given freewill, and according to his freedom of choice he will either choose God or else not choose God, and by his works he will either be saved or else condemned: those who choose and follow good, get good, and those who choose and follow evil, get evil. We are here to Love the Lord thy God with all of thine heart, soul, mind, will and emotions - to have deep, intimate fellowship with Him first and foremost.

Then out of that Love relationship with Father God, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, we can then go out and minister God's love to others. Pour into other people's lives what God has poured into our lives.

God put man on earth to have fellowship with Him. Then he told man to be fruitful and multiply.

We are to fulfill God's will for our lives, but many are fullfililng what THEY want for their lives.
