Instant Healing Sign From God
Durng "time past" Christs' earthly ministry Matt, Mk, Luke and John, I believe the words healing, healed and heal are mentioned 54 times.
During "but now" Rom thru Philemon I believe it is mentioned twice. If you notice Paul lost the gift of healing (2 Tim. 2:40)there must be a reason.

I say in all things give glory to God.
He has formed our flesh to heal itself-and given us direction on how to treat it.
He is the power that heals when the body-does not.
If the enemy attacks-rebuke.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that LOVE GOD, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Sometimes we pray for the sick and they are healed, even receive a miracle, other times they don't. I have prayed for loved ones and close friends who had cancer and they were not healed and they died. I prayed for ones with cancer and they were healed. I prayed all the times the same way. Its not about how we pray, its about God's will for the person. They all died saved and I had prayed for that too. Thats the best miracle to me although my heart ached for them when gone.

Mima-- I have seen instantaneous (or nearly so, healings). I don't doubt that God can, and sometimes does, heal that way. When He does I'm thrilled to see Him get the Glory!
But it's still unusual enough to be called a "miracle"!
And if God does not heal that way, I do not think the ill person is automatically at fault. In fact, I don't believe healing is always His will (despite what some people teach)...otherwise none of us would die. If someone is not healed after healing is "claimed" or prayed for, I think it may be that God simply has other plans. He may have plans for a person that cannot be realized if the person is healthy and whole. He has been known to use "weak and foolish things", you know.

Donna66 ... I have suffered that, after my wife died. We had not prayed properly and with real faith
Yes such comments hurt.
BTW, the poster is Christan, not Christian!

//Some Christians seem to believe that physical death is the worst thing that can happen to a person. That is true only for one who is already spiritually dead!

Amen Donna, if we believe as the Bible says
1 Cor 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him"
physical death should be secondary.

After you have experienced an instant miracle your mind will be changed about prayer. I realize that some healing takes time but the most dramatic healings I have ever seen were instantaneous and really just mind blowing.

The devil tempted his God Jesus to commit suicide and tried to support this sin with miscontexting and misapplying Jesus' own holy scripture of Psalm 91 which holy spirited words detail how them who trust in God will have God's protection and deliverance from evil and evil-doers: "Then the devil sets him on a pinnacle of the temple, and says to him, If you be the Son from God, cast yourself down, for it is written, He will give his angels charge concerning you, and in hands they will bear you up, else at any time you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to him, It is written again, You will not tempt the Lord "your" God. Mt.4:5-7.

In the hospital, Ive seen far too many people whose suffering is multiplied when they are blamed for prayers not producing healing. It's a "face-saving" maneuver for Christians who fail in the quest for a "healing ministry". That they pass the blame onto the ill, and not to themselves, shows their real underlying lack of compassion.
How much more important are spiritual "life-saving" efforts, since it is the spirit that is eternal, not the body. Some Christians seem to believe that physical death is the worst thing that can happen to a person. That is true only for one who is already spitually dead!

Notice in the Gospels, the healing power of Christ brought instant healing, to those who were healed.
Why do you suppose those miracles were instant?
To answer this question, you must look to the reaction of those who were healed.
After they were healed they proclaimed Jesus, to be the Son of God.
Because God is the only one with this power, and so these Miracles could not be attributed to the skills of a doctor.
When the healing is instant, one can only attribute that the healing, comes from God.
Can you imagine an Atheist seeing Lazarus, a man who was four days stinking dead, come out of his tomb after being Called by Christ?
What do you think his reaction would be?

very well put,Christian...
For a [disciple of Jesus Christ] through Faith, knows that God has healed him from his sins and reconciled us to Him through Christ and the riches is his inheritance of Christ and everything that comes with Him.
...however, most 'Christians' today do not get it and they do not want it.

Geraldine, we are now living in a time where Faith from God is more relevant than "healing and instant riches". Wickedness is when you are told that you are not healed or are rich that you lacked faith. Is this true? Most definitely not! People who preach of such things are liken to their father the devil.
If healing is one's desire that he can live longer in this cursed world, than Christians should not die in the flesh. But is this true? Instant riches from the things of this world has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God. For a Christian through Faith, knows that God has healed him from his sins and reconciled us to Him through Christ and the riches is his inheritance of Christ and everything that comes with Him.

No to the healing and here's why, were petitioning God according to his will. If that request be granted now or at Christ's return we can be assured it'll be done once and for all. Still were talking about two kinds of healing, temporal and eternal. His plan and timing supersede our desire. As far as the riches go, that too is his desire, but not the kind that perish. Even people of faith tend to overlook the fact that what is most important to the Father is not the temporal fixes to our problems but our overall spiritual condition. The reason is because that determines our next thought and action and his overall goal is to conform us to the image of his son. That's never second on God's agenda.
