Yes, Jesus has saved us from our sin.
Do I act as if he accomplished this?,
Yes. Like Josef said, "I speak and act as one who will be judged by the "perfect law of liberty".
I agree with Eloy in saying the "saints are not sinners" anymore.

Lawrence, A-men. Saints are not sinners, the sheep are not the goats, and the wheat is not the tares: "You all will know them by their fruits. Every good tree brings forward good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forward bad fruit. A good tree cannot bring forward bad fruit, neither a corrupt tree bring forward good fruit. Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten: for from the fruit the tree is known. Every tree that brings not forward good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits you all will know them." - Jesus Christ

A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER IN CHRIST is a NEW CREATURE. That doesn't mean you'll never sin again. It does mean that you will not live in sin. Meaning you will make a mistake, fall occasionally. Not constantly. Because a true Christian has the Holy Spirit living inside their heart & our sin grieves Him. Therefore,He convicts us when we fail. When a brother or sister feels something is sin, & you don't feel convicted of it, that doesn't give you the freedom to poke fun or condemn them for their beliefs. The LORD tells us to be fruit inspectors, not judges. We are to encourage & support one another. At least Lawrence is striving to keep a clean, pure heart before the LORD. Something we should all do.

Mary, No not at all. Because The Lord says here, 1st.John 2 v's 15 - 16.
People are trying to serve God with one foot in for Him & the other on for the devil & his worldly pleasures. You canNot serve 2 masters. 2nd.Cor. 11 v's 14 - 14 whispers into peoples hearing & says, yes you can & most people believe it.

"Has Jesus accomplished this?" Yes.
"are you acting like he accomplished this?"
I speak and act as one who will be judged by the "perfect law of liberty".
Doing "whatever [I] do in word or deed, all in the 'name'-authority, interest, and pleasure- of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through Him".

Yes, Jesus has saved us from our sins. This does not mean that once you are saved you will never sin again. This means that you are saved from the power and the consequences of sin, which is death and eternity in hell.

Those that are born from above are set free from the slavery they once endured under the cruel master called sin.
Jesus did accomplish this, and as much as I understand how to I strive to stay true to this fact.

you forgot to mention the sin of internet use.
Oh, I forgot, that's not a sin because you allow us to do it.

Lawrence "Most christian people are saved in their sins, they either still smoke, alcoh drinks, fornicate, join social & private clubs, adultery, sports is their god, run around half naked in hot weather, party dances etc.
True Christian people Are saved from your sins, you don't do such any more"
Let's look at those things:
smoke, unwise but not sin
alcoh drinks, Not a sin unless drinking to excess
fornicate ... sin
join social & private clubs ... not sin
sports ... not sin unless it is their god
run around half naked in hot weather, Not sin in appropriate place, time, activity.
party dances ... not sin

Lawrence, I'm not sure, but I think you're stricter than Jesus!

Well Lawrence: Guess what? You are the only Christian who does not sin. But be careful. A sinner may have to bail you out of the clutches of satan, one day. Then what? Read the book of Galatians, it may open the eyes of your heart. Bless you.

When a person is saved, they are a new creature. They are born of the spirit of God. I thank God I am saved by grace thru faith. I am indeed a new creature in Christ. A christian is known by their fruits.
