Yes, in church today the children led us in a song:
~ When I was praying, somebody touched me.
when I was praying, somebody touched me.
when I was praying, somebody touched me.
It was the ha-and of the Lord.~

God is Holy and God is Love, and his presence indeed can be felt: "Then a spirit by my face passed, stood up the hair of my flesh, standing in front of me, yet I could not discern its appearance, a form in front of my eyes, then a calm voice I heard: Is man equal to God? or is pure a man than his Maker?" Job 4:15-17.

Feel as in emotion or physically? Feelings are not God. What comes to mind,God works personally in each. Keeping in mind He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and cannot go against His nature, who He is
The HS testifies of Jesus Christ not HS.
pentacost, they were as drunk
Christ revealed Himself to Paul dramatically. Thomas, doubting, had to touch/feel, did Christ reject.
He DID say blessed are they that do not see yet believe, and we DO walk by faith not by sight, faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.
Caution, not to be led by emotions/feelings. God may or may not impact these, but they are not in and of themselves, God.
Jesus is the Word, the Truth, the Life, He is God

We are often motivated by our
feelings, even though we walk by faith. So often people want to put God in a box and say you can't go by feelings, you need to go by faith. Romans 14:17 says the kingdom of God is not meat or drink but righteousness
peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Peace and Joy are both feelings. Conviction of sin is a feeling.Being led by the spirit has an aspect of feeling or drawing, compelling that humans connect with feelings(ie) I felt led. I felt I needed to pray. We are very emotional beings and we need to embrace that. If people waited for the feelings to pass, they might never come to the Lord.

Acts17:27that they should seek the Lord,if haply they might feel after him,and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:v.28.For in him we live, and move, and hve our being,as certain also of your own poets have said,For we are alsohis offspring.hello!family, wonderfull blogg!yes, when I get some times, just want to get more In tune with my father(my heavenly father) I don't even want to eat breakfast and I want to sing psalms or just sing with my regular songs..but,yes I truly believe there are moments when I feel the holyspirit over welm me 'n a song! I don't trust my feelings. I'd rather LISTEN to the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit and obey Him than get caught up in euphoric emotions.

Jer 17:9,10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

I feel the Holy Spirit every day but some times I just do not follow the Spirit and do what is in my flesh. Instead of studying every time I have a chance, I do other things. When I'm at church some times praying, I wonder off and my prayer is not so serious as it should be every time I pray. The Spirit convicts me and I get serious. The Spirit continues to change my attitude.

Our walk is by FAITH.
Fellings change and or of the FLESH,not of faith.
Whitout faith it is imposible to please GOD.
In the flesh we can not be acceptable.
The holy spirit has a low profile,He will not speak of Himself, does not seek recognition.
His job is a guide and teach us about the saviour(JESUS CHRIST).Looking for feelings is like looking for Gideon's fleese.

His Love for us overwhelms-brings you to your knees.Gentle and stern-in one-humbles you.

Romans 5:5And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Mark 12:30-31 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
vs33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

---David may I offer this suggestion? You can cause the Holy Spirit that is within you be stirred up, to come to the surface, by singing, or meditating, on the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and what it means to Christians.

Thank you for the advice Mima.

Yes, the Spirit of Christ is awesome.

Ever since I was Born of God I have moments, when I don't feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.
In these moments, I feel a deep sense of loneliness, which always brings me to my knees, in tears, before our Lord.
I Have come to understand, that the Lord does this to show his displeasure with something I have said, or done, or may not have done.

When I am doing that which is pleasing to the Lord, I am filled with a sence of euphoria throughout my day.
I would also like to say, the Lord is very pleased with me when I sit here, each morning, on these Blogs.
Whether the responce from you is good, bad or even insulting, I still love to hear from all of you.

NO, I HEAR the Holy Spirit who is a witness not to himself but to the Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a comforter and messenger on behalf of the Father and Son. Appeals in services of "come Holy Spirit" are misguided appeals to the possible spectacular.

The first time I felt the Holy Spirit was the moment I became a believer.

I was trying to climb a "ladder" of salvation. Rung 1 "turn from sin" made me a hypocrite. Rung 2 "confess, believe, ask" made me feel deserving of salvation. Rung 3 "give your life to Jesus" drove my wife away becuase I was constantly condemning her for being "ungodly". Then I was all alone. 8 months of intense doubting my salvation, reality, my sanity, etc. Then God convinced me of righteousness through faith.

I felt something phyically. Couldn't describe it, but my skin felt more "alive". My body felt fuller. Not euphoria, but something. I knew God had just touched me.

I'm aware of the Holy Spirit daily. A few times in my life I have been overwhelmed by the power of the Holy Spirit. His prescence came without any expectation on my part. It was awe inspiring, but not emotional.
I have no words to describe it.

"Do you feel the Holy Spirit?"
I have never experienced the Holy Spirit as a feeling.
However I have experienced His presence as an illuminator of my mind, and as a restraint on my impulses as I am given, and empowered, to transcend the compulsions and dictates of the senses, to embrace and reflex certain principles of the Father. And as He continues to renew my mind, some of those reflexes has become habitual. For that and all things, I give all praise to the Father.

everyday. Question is do we follow the holyspirits guidance when God shows us?

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: ...

the fruits are states of being and not emotions. You can say, "i feel sick...i feel good." but, you cannot say, "i feel goodness...i feel longsuffering".

receiving a gift from the Spirit might evoke feelings, but He gave them to produce fruit.

By the same token, how do you know it's the Holy Spirit you're feeling and not mere emotion (excitement or otherwise)?
---Cluny on 1/2/11

Feeling the Holy Spirit is an incredibly poor choice of language and "influenced by" is more in keeping with its role.

The Holy Spirit performs two dominant functions that of comforter and supporter, as well as, that of trainer. In the role of trainer the Holy spirit does not spoon feed you answers, rather it motivates you to use the mind that God provided you to study, reason and discern information against a criteria of Biblical foundational knowledge. And when that core foundation is lacking , the Holy Spirit inspires the personal motivation to study and correct the deficiency including where and what to study . God wants a return on investment in you, otherwise you are like the fool who buried is master money.

Yes, I feel the Holy Spirit touching my heart when I kneel down in prayer. God is awesome, and the Holy Spirit makes me cry sometime. The Holy Spirit makes my heart humble.
---Elena on 1/2/11

Strongest when speaking the word of God in prayer or in fellowship.
Some days not at all, and I won't pretend that doesn't bother me a bit, it sure does, but I don't doubt God or lose my faith.

God seems to shower me with the Spirit when I need it most and this makes dark valleys bearable. For I know that he will again fill me and he keeps me near to him. Feeling the confirming presence of the Lord is a great joy that I always look forward to.
