Moms arm was broken and I am staying with her and she and I both need continued prayer. Thanks for the prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 1/28/11

Alan, I am continuing to pray for Ali. Praising the Lord for her babysteps toward improvement.

Darlene, praying for Mama, and hoping she feels better soon.
---Trish9863 on 1/28/11

Ali had a very unsettled morning and was sedated for most of the afternoon. Later, tough she was more aware and was able to answer a few questions which is a positive development. She is still on the ventilator and has a temperature, and she is now on new antibiotics which it is hoped will help these aspects.
Please pray for the medical staff that they may find the right medication to fix the problems, and for Judith and Alis sisters, Sarah and Kate, as they wait and watch and try to be with Ali

Trish,I'm praying I hope she is feeling better and heals quickly. Please pray for Mama she has fallen twice this week and hurt herself. The first time she landed on her tailbone and bumped her head on a cedarchest. Her lower back is hurting from that, then the second time she injured her wrist making it hard to get out of a chair. I'm taking her to a doctor this afternoon.

Please pray for my daughter-in-law, who tore a calf muscle. She is an actress, peforming in a National Tour of Les Miserables, and can't perform while recuperating.
---Trish9863 on 1/25/11

A very valid point Harold. A prophet works for G-d only. And is G-d puppet/mouthpiece. This is not the case here.

Based on what you said, I then conclude he was "inspired" by G-d.

The praise of Martin Luther King Jr. as a social reformer is just. My problem is he was a Baptist preacher that had a quarter million people listening to him in Washinton DC and did not once memtion the plan of salvation. I don't believe I have ever addressed more than 100 people at any time during my ministry but never fail to bring God's message into the subject.
---Harold on 1/24/11

Last week was Martin Luther Kings Birthday. I believe he was one of the founding Fathers who brought the American revolution and dream to its completness.

But was he more than that? Could he had been a Prophet?
I remember his Dream speech and his eyes and he seemed not be himself, but as if he was lead by G-d. Even telling him in advance of his impending death.

I plan to do research on this. I started a while back but didn't persue it.

Alan: Thank you for the updates. Praising the Lord for progress toward healing.

All: I would appreciate continued prayer. My pain situation is worsening, and I can't get the cortisone shots I need due to my Coumadin. I must wait three more months. Herniated discs, bursitis and fibromyalgia are my diagnoses.

Thank you for your prayers. A little more information ... Ali is a trainee orthopaedic surgeon and is being cared for at the hospital where her training is based

The latest is that she is still very unwell, and it having an operation for an ear infection, and has a small blood clot.

She si stable and the doctor feels ok about her

Clearly the situation is still very serious, perhaps more so than the doctors have let the family know. It msu bea very invasive bug to keep on cropping up in different parts of the body
So please kkeep praying

---alan8566_of_uk on 1/21/11

John Thank you for your prayers ... and others too.

Ali is still in intensive care, with a breathing tube, but is off the ventilator. She is sedated, so her family, who have flown to be near her, have not been able to speak to her.

The antibiotics are beginning to have some effect at last.

It will be at least two days before she can come out of the induced coma. So recovery, and I pray this will occur, can't happen for quite a time.

Please pray for her mother Judith and sisters Sarah and Kate during this worrying time.

She is being cared for in the hospital where she is training to be an orthopaedic surgeon
---alan8566_of_uk on 1/20/11

Alan I will pray for her.

But aren't the most advance antibiotics in the UK?

I know patients here in the US with superbugs and other high resistant stains are sent to the UK. Since your country has antibiotics we do not have here.

---John on 1/19/11

Trish ... Thank you for your prayers and your private message. i will pray for your daughter and family
---alan8566_of_uk on 1/20/11

Alan, I am praying for Ali.

I would appreciate prayer for my daughter and her family. My grandchildren have strep throat, and my daughter and son-in-law are both sick, and have not seen the doctor yet to determine if they have strep as well.
---Trish9863 on 1/19/11

Prayer please for my friend Judith's daughter Ali, who is very ill in hospital. She appears to have caught one of the super-bug ailments, she has rashes, and has a sore on her elbow which the doctors have cutout to try to stop the infection spreading. She now has a tube inserted to help breathing, These next few hours are critical

Please pray for her and the whole family.

Thanky you

Thanks Darlene, I have not started the part time job yet. They are taking a while to finish checking my references. I am told this is normal.

Awesome about the check Trish :) I remember once getting a check--a renter's refund--for $77.77! :o It may have been coincidence but 7 is my favorite number and the number I most attribute to the Lord. :)
---Mary on 1/17/11

Please pray for my husbands nephew. He is in Intensive Care having trouble breathing. He is a wonderful person and commited child of God.
---Darlene_1 on 1/17/11

Trish--- I will surely pray for you! I'm retired (I worked before employers were required to provide a pension). I had some investments, but those were mostly demolished in 2008.
It's tough to get by these days.
I'll pray you get needed medical care quickly!
---Donna66 on 1/9/11

Trish so sorry to hear of your struggle. I am praying God helps you quickly. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 1/8/11

Its a New Year. New beginning. All is well. Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. I had a wonderful Christmas. Was able to share mine with the homeless and those who are less fortunate. Praise God for that opportunity. Want to do more in the coming year. God willing. We are committed to doing a Daniel Fast at my church(Greater Grace Outreach) Pray everything goes well with that.
---Robyn on 1/8/11

I would appreciate prayer for my pension to be processed quickly. My retirement became effective on November 1st. I am struggling financially on just my Social Security. I am going to be getting budget help from a couple at church, which is a real answer to prayer. I have had to postpone certain medical care because I can't afford the co-pays.

Donna: I am so sorry to hear about the shooting. That is horrible. I will pray for this woman.
---Trish on 1/7/11

Mama had a good checkup yesterday. The Heart specialist said her heartrate is ok,they consider 60 normal and in the 50s its fine. She Had normal blood pressure too although she is getting three other tests next Tuesday,we aren't expecting any bad news. Thanks for your prayers.
---Darlene_1 on 1/7/11

Donna66 I'm so sorry to hear about one of your family getting shot. Thats terrible. I will be praying for her and all your family to be saved and her healed beyond expectations. God Bless
---Darlene_1 on 1/6/11

The last couple of Christmases have been kinda a bust. Last year my brother had just passed away. This year my great niece got shot in the head a few days before Christmas. She will live, but has severe brain damage (they can't even remove the bullet from her brain). She's only 26, divorced with 3 kids under 5. Please pray the Lord brings some good out of this.
I'm praying that she and family members will come to the Lord.

A happy and blessed 2011 to you all.

---Darlene_1 on 1/6/11

Mary, I will pray for you and your husband. You may want to visit an Al-Anon meeting and meet other family members of alcoholics. I plan to attend one due to my son's drinking. He has a problem and the only thing I can do is pray and get support from others who love drinkers.
---Trish9863 on 1/5/11

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a blessed one. :) My husband just entered rehab at the Domiciliary nearby, it's a God-send to stop his drinking! I miss him something terrible when he can't be here but I know this is for the very best--praise God. :)
---Mary on 1/4/11

I am waiting for word as to when I am to start a part time job. I will be a therapist at a mental health agency in Philadelphia. They are checking my references, and then will contact me to schedule some training. Please pray for me to be patient. I had my interview a week before Christmas. This feels like it is taking forever.

Whats Up,wow, this year has started with the unexpected and it continues. I took Mama to Ear-nose-throat doctor and he discovered part of her problems aren't the inner ear causing dizziness but her heartrate. It is going between 51 to 54 which can cause weakness, dizziness and lots of problems. I'm making an appointment as quickly as possible with Heart specialist. Please pray we can get her in and they do what needs to be done to help her. Hope you get better soon Trish. My son is sick at stomach due to diabetes medicine he was put on,still needs prayer too. Brother-in-law is doing great. Praise God. Take care. God Bless
