Hope5979: "Face to face friendship is not an option for some of us."

Satan is making you believe what is not true.

Face-to-face is the only option for true friendship. Do christians not visit the prisoners and the bedridden?
---Steveng on 2/5/11

I also am looking for some christian friends, but it seems they are hard to come by these days. My health & schedule limits my activities & involvement in church groups. Face to face friendship is not an option for some of us. I am here, if someone needs an email friend. Forgive some of our opinionated blogs. I don't mean to sound uncaring in any of mine.

My mistake, two or more words should be in quotes instead of parathesis. Puting two or more words or a phrase in quotes would find the exact phrase you're looking for.

Steveng ... Thanks ... that makes sense!!

Observer: "STEVENG ... Why do you always spell encourage as encourag?"

When doing a bible search for the word "encourag" it includes both "encourage" AND "encouragment." Searching for only "encourage" would search for only "encourage" but not "encouragment."

Observer, this is why I also have a person search for "one another" and "each other" as separate search terms (including the paranthesis, without the parathesis the search would include verses having both "one" and the word "another," but not together). The search focuses on particular verses on how we should treat one another. A person would assume that I could just use the word "other," but the search results would bring in verses like "the other day" which doesn't have anything to do treating one another.

Do not use technology or social networks to make friends.

It creates a only a facade. There is no comparison for face-to-face friendship. True friendship is not only text on a blog, but includes emotions you can share. You need to find yourself real friends who can share a laugh with you and share a cry with you. Someone you can actually touch and see.

Do an online bible search for "one another," "each other," "comfort," and "encourag."

The rest of us do too. It seems that most of the pwople I associate with are not genuine in their faith and it would be nice to communicate with someone such as myself who makes an everyday effort to be Christlike.

Jane, I would be happy to be your Christian friend, but for some reason my postings are not being postsed since 1/10. So by tomorrow I will decide whether I am not returning to minister on this site anymore.

Jane, there's a scripture that says, "We have a friend who sticks closer than a brother." I never knew what that meant until this past year 2010. I felt the loneliest I've ever felt, even feeling forsaken by God and especially by family and friends. The the Holy Spirit quicked me and said, "you still have me." That Revelation set me free from ever feeling lonely again. Now Him and I have fellowship all day long, every day and night and it's WONDERFUL. Make Jesus your friend first, He won't ever hurt you or betray you, others will.

Hello Jane, we can all be a friend for you. But be warned, some of us can be pretty opinionated at times.:-/ Not me of course, cause naturally, I'm always right. OH RELAX EVERYBODY, I'M JOKING!! :-D It's mostly a serious group here but we all seem to sincerely love the LORD & want to please Him, so you won't find a better bunch of folks to find a friend from.

Get involved in a Women's Bible Study at church. Get involved in a church outreach to the poor.

These are ways to meet others who love the Lord.
