Husband Left In September

My Husband walked out on me last September and he has not made any attempt to come home and be my husband in any way. Can someone one tell me what my rights are as a wife?

John, I do see that marriage is a representation of Christ/church. I think it is also a gift from God, and potentially a beautiful thing, being one of the most intimate of relationships. For many it is selfish, but ought not to be. Emotions may wrongly dictate how one acts, true. Yet, emotions are created by God, and may be in some instances pure. I can't help but think about the Song of Solomon, how vivid and beautiful, with much to glean in a marriage between a man and a woman, as well as our relationship with Jesus. Although some call certain emotions love, when it is not, does not negate that true love has an emotional aspect to it.

Mrs_N...Why did your husband leave?
---KarenD on 5/13/11

John: I will tell you a mystery. You should be on the gong show. You are an empty shell devoid of emotions and feelings. You wouldn't know love if you fell over it.

Emotions are a part of love. It happens to come with the package. If you have no emotions then I think you could be considered a sociopath which is not a good thing.

Jesus was full of love and compassion and that includes emotions.

I'll agree with one thing however. You, John, don't have a clue what marriage is about.

Most Christians do NOT have the slightest clue of what Marriage is about/mean.

Marriage is simply a physical representation of Christ/Church (i.e. Temple to Jesus).

It has NOTHING to do with "YOU"/HUBBY! Its about the Glory of G-d/His relationship with man.

Since it's ALL about G-d, there's NOTHING left for you!

These posts concern selfcentered lusts/vanity. and your earthly emotions, you FALSELY call Love.

G-d does not care about your silly selfcentered Romances.

It's NOT the silly emotion you FALSELY call Love.

That is what happens to a Christian when they let anger fester for too long and it becomes bitterness. They lose their witness for Christ.

John, I have to disagree on your last post. Speaking/using the word of God is the best thing we can do in many such situations. We are to speak the truth, are we not? What makes you think this is not a REAL problem? More impotantly, what makes you think "G-d really doesn't care about you and YOUR Hubby Secular problems."? God cares about EVERY aspect of our lifes, (He knows the # of hairs, the sparrow falling, many other little things are referenced)
You suggest Dear Abby over Godly counsel?
If you truly know God, you'd know He is a personal God, and speaks to us about all sorts of things that are "little".
Additionally, a marriage is one of the most important things in life, and God has a lot to say about it.

John, just for once, I'd like to see you give a spiritual REPLY to someone!

When it is warranted. Like when someone has Cancer or is suffering and is in REAL need of G-d. I also give real advice to help people. In the realworld I give them money if they need it.

Unlike Fundis/Evangelicals who literraly won't give you a dime but say...I'll pray for you! (Its free)

It best to write Dear Abbey or Lori Sledginger for secular help about Hubby/Boyfriends

Because G-d really doesn't care about you and YOUR Hubby Secular problems. I'd explain that one, but hit the 125ltd.

Maybe we should have a special section for all the Hens to Squawk about their Husbands and their Boyfriends. Kind of consolidate all the female blogs.

I would sure like to see some women start a blog about spirtual matters instead of vainity.

What *is* right is that you first give yourself to God and discover how He rules you with His peace in your heart to do what He now wants with you > "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful." (Colossians 3:15) And be pleasing, first, to Him > "rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4) And your good example of this in the sight of God will have God's results. God bless you ::smile::

Are you looking for reconciliation or revenge?

You might want to consider that God does not give us our rights, or what we deserve, but something better.

But on a strictly wordly end, you do look like you have a case for divorce on grounds of abandonment.

Christ is risen!
