aka, Once upon a time I also was "stuck" for many many years.
Thankfully the truth has set me free.
When I discovered that I could actually think for myself, and broke free of those who insisted that "they"
do the thinking for me,like it or lump it!
I truely thought I was serving God!

1Jn 4:4 You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

but, let us qualify that with surrounding scripture:

1Jn 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
1Jn 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the antichrist you heard is coming, and even now is already in the world.
1Jn 4:4 ...
1Jn 4:5 They are of the world, therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

Johnusa, we had the same winds hit us in the Sacramento area. I went outside to make sure my roof was not falling apart. Thank God no major damage. I wonder how Poppa Bear is doing in Alaska.
I like Anon's answer. Spiritually we are seating in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Enjoying what we now have in Christ. Nothing more wonderful then to have a love relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts while we are still here on earth. His birth was the best miracle that ever happen to us.
