Being counted worthy...
"To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,
"so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 1:11,12

I did not say that I am worthy of His grace, I was saying that I have ACHIEVED/received the truth about Him and am restored to NATURAL MAN (a "living soul" like Adam before the fall...because I am faithful to THE TRUTH).
I do not WASTE my time on ANYONE (except, unfortunately those who "REFUSE TO LOVE the truth....AND SO BE SAVED", 2 Thessalonians 2).
I haven't traded Him for a BOOK/literal devotion... (devotion is NOT literary, it is SPIRITUAL).
Many worshipers egotistically imagine themselves to be 'WORTHY OF HIM' and think they can be divine, but that is PRIDE (God opposes the proud).
---faithforfaith on 8/30/17|
Saying that you have such a great love for God that you won't even waste your time on anyone who loves God even slightly less is boasting and very Pharisaical, which is not a good thing. Telling someone who is suffering "I'm better than you are" doesn't help them, and saying "you haven't suffered enough" doesn't help them either.
NOBODY loves God enough to be "worthy". We are ALL unworthy.
---StrongAxe on 8/21/17|
I have a terrible bias about how much I love the Lord (you either love the Lord unendingly and are worthy of being human OR you don't.
When you can say AND TRULY MEAN "Though He slay me, yet shall I love Him" get back to me, until then, I'll not waste my time even acknowledging your existence.
You haven't suffered enough yet IN SILENCE to show/prove ANY LOVE for Him at all.
---faithforfaith on 8/21/17|
"God allowed Satan to do a host of things to Job and He never gave him a reason for his suffering."
This is the greatest proof that God does NOT love us and has a character and morality problem. It's ok for him to knowingly and purposely allow us to suffer while saying how much He loves us? Sorry, you can't have it both ways. Job was the most immoral thing God ever did, period! A good, just, and moral God does NOT allow Satan to abuse a man He himself says doesn't deserve it. That is just freaking wrong. God can say how much He loves us all He wants, but actions speak louder than words, and God's actions prove He doesn't love us.
---Jeff on 8/20/17|
john, God puts us thru the fire to refine us into what He wants us to be.I have beenam in the fire for a while so I know God isn't finished with me yet. Don't let the devil defeat you and that is just what he is trying to do. Keep praying and just know God is in control.
---shira4368 on 7/13/12|
Javier, God does love him! He's struggling with his faith and he needs encouragement, not discouragement.
---Mary on 7/13/12|
You are right, God does not love you, You are His enemy. But, while we were Gods enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
---Javier on 7/12/12|
I call what you are going through the Job Experience. God allowed Satan (remember he is allowing) to do a host of things to Job and He never gave him a reason for his suffering. We can only assume that there were some things God wanted Job to learn. I try to get quiet and still before the Lord when I am in a Job Experience because I have learned that more than likely He will not give me a reason for my suffering unless sin is involved but rather He will just carry me through it.

Marie, you gave a great passage concerning the love of God in ( Proverbs 3:12). Going with (v.11) we know God loves His children.
"My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction, "For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights" If God loved everyone the same, even the wicked, then these passages would be useless. God shows His love for His children. God had already said (v. 5)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding"
John needs to trust God and stop leaning in his own understandings. For if he is a child of God he is been corrected.

John_Foster, bad things happening are not a sign of Gods lack of love. Its a sign that He is either trying to get you to turn around because youre headed down the wrong path, or maybe He is testing your faith to see if you truly trust in him. Look at all the bad that happened to Job. God loved Job and was very proud of Job but still let evil happen to him to test him. The teacher is often quiet when you're in the middle of a test.
Rest assured when this phase passes and God is still there for you, it will increase your faith in him. Ive had this happen to me dozens of times in my life. He is increasing your faith. I know it doesnt seem like it now but you will see it in time. God bless you, brother
---CraigA on 6/16/12|
Oh another thing... satan will put it in your mind that the reason youre undergoing trials is because you have done something very evil and God has abandoned you. Dont fall for that lie ,) Its an attempt to get you to turn away from God. Job's "friends" tried this with Job and God chastised them for it after Job's trials were over. Take heart, brother. One day you'll look back on this time of your life and thank the Lord.
---CraigA on 6/16/12|
MarkV, although I do not deserve the compliment, thank you, I appreciate your taking the time to pass on that word of encouragement. Father's word is indeed beautiful. All praises are due Him alone, any truth that I share is His, shared through His shared insight and enlightenment. It is my pleasure and privilege to share, and to receive from those of you who are also led, willing, blessed, and empowered to share His good news. Be blessed Mark.

John: Many have had really bad problems.... I don't know what yours have been, but for you to post here I guess they will have been really bad!
The real reasons are hard to know, and in most of my cases I still wonder WHY?????? But later (though the later may be 10-20 years) I find that He does pick me up - not to where I want to be, but to where I can be happy
But think of His Son - sinless, so He loved His father perfectly, and yet still, at the end of His life, was rejected by His Father
It is not a fault of yours
---Peter on 6/14/12|
Josef, again, your words were beautiful. You have been given a great gift. I thank God you can see things so clearly and explain them to others. Eloy also made a good statement concerning the love Christ has for His children. Josef, I have always admired your answers. please keep helping others as you have for a long time now. Beautiful words like those are so much needed, for not only those who are in great need now, but who will later have their own problems. No one in Scripture was tested on his love towards God like Job. Millions would have thrown in the towel and given up on God, but not Job.
---Mark_V. on 6/14/12|
John everyone experiences the same as you. Most don't share their trials. I have had many in the past 9 years and yet they continue. God does love you, He died for you. He is in control and that is my hope. I have often wondered if I would allow my son to die for someone else. I couldn't but God did.
---Shira4368 on 6/12/12|
John, "Take heart brother. You are not alone. Know that all the suffereings that we go through are not in vain. I too am tried by fire, but I am learning that as we are thrown into the fire it is not without God. When the storms of life batter us down and the sinners also knock us down, this should make us cry out to Jesus, and hold on tighter to him. When Jerusalem was being bombed by scud missles, every chuch was filled to capacity. And when the missles stopped, the churches emptied out again. Was this wake up call God's way of marking his own? He knows whom is hurting: God, he knows us, and he knows those whom do not hurt also. His help will come, not when nor how we may want, but our Father knows what is best for his own children.
---Eloy on 6/12/12|
John_Foster: It is a gross misunderstanding to think that a human could ever love anything more than God. God IS love. We are not. You are veiwing your trials as an indication that God does not love you. Just the OPPOSITE...God corrects every one He LOVES. Prov.3:12 "For whom the Lord loves he corrects, even as a father the son in whom he delights". Also read Heb.12:3-11 which is most encouraging. So take heart brother, you ARE loved by God.
---Marie on 6/12/12|
John_Foster: It is a gross misunderstanding to think that a human could ever love more than God. God IS love. We are not. God sheds His love abroad in our hearts via the Holy Spirit but our love is still inferior to Gods as we have our human nature as well. You are veiwing your trials as an indication that God does not love you. Just the opposite...God disciplines very son He LOVES.

We need to be humble. I can so easily write things in order to impress you and show I must be such a great counselor blah blah blah blah
But we all have hard things. And even if I am having it easier . . . if I care about others as much as myself, your problems are my problems. So, you are not alone, and are you just as concerned about others as yourself? loving your neighbor as yourself??
Jesus went through many awful things, even it could be each day. So, He now can feel for you (Hebrews 4:15). So, you too can use your pains and troubles to help you feel for others (c: God bless you and encourage us (c:

"Why does god not love me as much as I love him?"
John, "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." Jhn 15:13
"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." 1Jo 3:16
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Rom 5:8
Are you willing to die for Him? Mat 16:25
The trying of your faith is more precious than gold, for though it is tried by the fiery circumstances of life, if held fast it will be found to be worthy of praise and honor at the appearing of Jesus The Christ. Ref. 1Pe 1:7

John, If you are a Christian, God loves you. I understand "the bad things" that happened to you. And when we are being persecuted sometimes it seems like we are orphans and that our God has abandoned us when we need him most. But he hasn't. I cannot explain why our Shepherd allows the wolves to take bites out of us and destroy us. Many times I, as a wounded lamb, hide under the bush and I don't want to come out anymore to be hurt by the cruel sinners. But Jesus walks by, and sometimes he lifts me up into his arms and heals my wounds from the wicked. I can only say, cry to Jesus, and pray and beg him daily for his help in this world, the world which is alien to good. Pray without ceasing, and Jesus will help you.
---Eloy on 6/11/12|
God knows your life from beginning to the end that is in the future. What you see as bad happenings may indeed bring about greater benefits later. Scripture says "All things work together for good for those who love God." Thank Him for the future you cannot see.
---Geraldine on 6/11/12|
Have you sent your son to die for God?
If not, you cannot accuse God of not loving you as much as you love Him.
Having clarified that, remember that nothing scares the demons so much as when a Christian looks over a landscape from which all sign of God seems to be missing, asks why he as been forsaken--and STILL intends to obey and follow Christ!
Glory to Jesus Christ!

You are believing a lie of the devil. You need to meditate on the Truth of God's Word. God loves you more than you can imagine. You can not outlove Him.
Life is full of trials. Scripture teaches us that trials help our faith grow.
Read James 1 and the beginning of 1 John 3. In order to not fall for the enemy's lies, we must know, and believe the Truth, which can only be found in His Word.
Read the Bible, and pray. Ask God to strengthen you, and help you to open your eyes to His unending love.
Begin making a gratitude list each day, and thank the Lord out loud for each blessing. Include what might seem trivial, like the sunshine, the flowers, your family, etc.
