Shira, I am sorry for your daughter and husband's death.
I worked with Hospice for 12 years.
A death of a child seems to me to be the hardest.

Matthew 2:17-18
..A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentations,
Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.

Firer tired Gold indeed you are, Shira!
Only Jesus can console you as I know you hold yourself very close to Him.
God Bless.

God puts us thru the fire and we shall come forth as gold. Sometimes our trials seem unbearable. My daughter passed away 9 yrs ago and I still cry for her and my husband. I have been thru the fire in more ways than that. Hopefully I will come forth as gold at the end of my life...which is not that far away.

If you have been faithful to submit to God and do whatever He has you do, with Him in His peace (Colossians 3:15) . . . just keep doing what you have been doing > see if He leads you in His peace to go to another state. Or, simply do whatever He does have you do (c:

Why are you going?
Are you bored? Jobless? Have an love interest in another state?

As long as it is pure, I don't think God cares if you want to go to another state. He blesses you no matter where you are living.

1 Kings 17:7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him: Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there.

Acts 16:9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."

If you feel that you must go to another city to evangelize, then by all means go

Matthew 18:29 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

You are free to go anywhere to evangelize, If God wants you to go somewhere specific, he will tell you in dream, or vision

Francis you actually woke my memory up. Lol John did not have a vision, he actually went to heaven. Just teasing. we don't know if John or Paul were in the body or out of the body.
---shira4368 on 7/4/13

Maria, pray about it. Don't rush into anything. If you do not feel good about it don't do it!

Francis, tell me one person in the new testament that had a vision or dream.

Peter on the roof top
Cornelius to send to get Peter
Agabus the fate of Paul
Paul to not give up on the city,
Paul visions of 3rd heaven,
John the book of revelation

Last but not lease is this one on which we all need to focus:

Acts 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night, There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

Paul does not have to guess, he has a vision of God telling him to go to another city

God did not "lay it on his heart" God have him a vision

Without sounding too religious, "try it and see"! That's what God says to me. Of course, I always want to be sure!

Maria, just remember, whatever decision you make, God already knows. If you move, you will find out if it was the right move or not. If you stay, the same. Don't worry about God getting His feelings hurt. Also remember, God (the Holy Spirit) speaks to our conscience. Listen to your conscience. The very reason we as believers should never go against conscience.

Francis, tell me one person in the new testament that had a vision or dream. I believe in the vision someone has for a specific ministry but I don't believe God tells anyone other than His Word. I do read my bible. You have some far out beliefs yourself. Again, name one person who had a vision in the new testament. We live in the age of grace. I do know God will lay things on our minds and you can know what God wants us to do.

How do u know God is telling u to move to another state?
---Maria on 7/3/13

shira4369, if you read the question, you wuold see that this person is not even sure if God is talking to her

Then shira4369 if you read the bible, you would know that God communicates what is not in the bible through dreams and vision

Then shira4369, if you read your own " sola scriptura" post, you would say that God has said everything he is ever going to say in the bible

to end shira4369 if you read in the bible you would know that even our deepest heartfelt desires may not be from God

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

How does one know if it's God or not?

God speaks through the heart, man thinks through the brain. Don't let your brain, the playground of Satan, get in the way of what your heart is saying. If your love, genuine love of God and others, is in tune with God's love you will know for sure. Remember: Love, genuine love, is the ultimate commandment.
---Steveng on 7/3/13

wow francis, you are so so wrong and you are advising someone not to listen to God. are you crazy? that is so totally totally wrong. God lays many things on our hearts and God talks to us. if you have never felt God talk to you, you are in trouble. please anyone who needs to know please don't consult a "prophet". a palm reader is just as effective.

If you are saved, then the Holy Spirit will tell you immediately what to do, when He has told you, waiting to act lets human doubt creep in and burden us. If He is telling you, then you know what to do. Whether you stay or move, you must listen and do immediately.
---A_servant on 7/3/13

Firist off, the word is spelled "you." Please don't use text speech about such a serious issue.

Next, as Jesus said in another context, count the cost, not only financial, but emotional--it is a disruption in your life.

As I say, don't bail out, bail IN.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

When God tells you to do something you have no doubt. If you are having doubt, it is always a good thing to wait until you are sure the decision is from God. Sometimes our decisions are left up to ourselves, depending on the circumstances. If God directs you to go minister in another state that is another thing. What is your reason for wanting to move?
