Bryan, you are not listening. Here you say,
"This is my Jesus explaining how God's word works. If it is sown." God gave us the answers to the parables, you were not listening.
"He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one."
If you understood you would know that we are instruments of God. It is God who sows the good seeds. When someone is saved through the gospel Truth who saves them? God. Who do we give thanks to? God. Who did the work? God. Even the preaching you performed is the work of God. All is the work of God. The only reason you know about salvation is because of God.

"He also said if you follow him he would show you the mysteries of the Kingdom of God." Bryan
And by this you're trying to tell me that it's really up to you to follow Christ as and when you like? Really? Seriously? If that's how you evangelize, you can be sure I'm not even going near you because there's no truth in what you say with regards to believing in Christ.
Scripture's explicit, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father." John 6:44,65
If freewill's your agenda, I assure you that's not the Gospel of Christ.

Mark 4:30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is "sown" in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 But when it is "sown", it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
This is my Jesus explaining how God's word works. If it is sown.

Bryan, If I am seating next to Jesus in the room, I am one of His disciples. And since I am one of His disciples, Jesus explains the parable to me. You are not listening because you are outside the room and don't understand the parable. here is what it says,
"And He said to them, "to you (disciples) it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside (unbelievers outside) all things come in parables, so that Seeing they may see and not perceive, And hearing they may hear and not understand, Lest they should turn and their sins be forgiven them" (Mark 4:11,12).
Only if their sins are forgiven will Jesus explain the parable to you. You seem to be seating outside with the lost.
---Mark_V. on 1/14/14|
Mark here is the Question are you a follower of Jesus? Is he in your heart? Is he the same yesterday , today and forever? Are you still on the outside? Think of it this way you are setting down next to Jesus if so he is tells you this parable you don't understand it. You are still setting next to him are you not? Then he explain it to you did you understand it then? Cause that is what he did. Now satan knows how the word works that is why he stole it from you. Cause you don't believe it. What you don't understand or believe satan will steal itfrom you. this should not be allowed

Bryan, you now say,
"christan Maybe this is for you If you a follower of Jesus he said he would show you the hidden things sense the foundation of the earth." Can you give passage and verse?
" He also said if you follow him he would show you the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. Mark 4:11,Mark 4,13"
Bryan, He said that to those inside the room with him. Because He said in the context of the passage,
"but to those who are outside, all things come in parables so that Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, Lest they should turn and their sins forgiven them"
Do you know the parable of the soils?

Rita_H, good word.

christan Maybe this is for you If you a follower of Jesus he said he would show you the hidden things sense the foundation of the earth. He also said if you follow him he would show you the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. Mark 4:11,Mark 4,13 Then Jesus said to them, Dont you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? If you know Jesus you will know his word when you hear it. It will always set you free. And that is a tare? Mark 4:40 don't be afraid like the apostles were.

Living our faith is what people see first. If we are grumpy, unpleasant, not always 100% honest in our dealings etc. no-one is going to be impressed by our testimony when we try to speak to them of Christ and His love.
I could never stand on a street corner giving my testimony or anything remotely similar but God gives each of us opportunities which He knows we CAN handle and sometimes those opportunities come right to our door or stand next to us in a supermarket queue or in our grandchildren's playground or sitting next to us on a bus or train.
We must not neglect the opportunities God places close to us.
---Rita_H on 9/29/13|
There is no methods for evangelism. There are opportunities that God opens for us when He is ready to save someone. I really liked the testimony WIVV gave. God prepared him and his wife both with the education and burden to do what they did, gave them the opportunity to go to Puerto Rico to be there at the right time and right place so that those God wanted to save be there to hear the gospel Truth and be saved. It all begins with God. Making methods up, is our own work and that never works.
God comes to seek and save that which is lost. He seeks them, prepares them, and then prepares you to be there at the right moment in time. From beginning to end, it is all the work of God.

Bryan, this is for you -
"Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn." Matthew 13:24-26,30
You sure, you're not sowing tares?

"Different", is the word one news paper describe our method of evangelism. We used prenatal classes as a means of evangelism. It took 10 weeks for a patient to complete the classes. By that time a real solid bonding took place between the teacher and the patient. Following the birth of the baby, a post natal visit was made in the home of the patient. They were very open to a positive witness because we had gain their trust. What also make it different is all of our patients were sent by their OB/GYN doctor and were from the upper class of society, (and this class of people are usually neglected when it comes to evangelisim).

I tell people I have read the greatest Chapter in the bible. They always ask what chapter is that. I tell them Mark chapter 4 or I say Mark 4 so you will see what your marked for. Then they ask what I'm I marked for, To sow the good news of the Jesus.

Sow the Gospel it works great. Signs and wonders follow the Gospel when it is sown.

I befriend people, or at least, love them with Christ's love through me.
---Grandma on 9/25/13|
one method I use is when I go in a restaurant I ask the waiter if he knows what a folded napking means. I have never had one who knew so I tell him or her. another way is the way you live and another way is I have a t-shirt and I get questions everytime I wear it. there is something about being born again that others can see. maybe its attitude or demeanor. I use every method I can.

We used the medical for evangelism. For over 30 years we were missionary's in Puerto Rico and used prenatal classes for evangelism. My wife holds a BS degree in Missionary nursing, is a Registered Nurse, with special certifications, a Nurse Midwife from the John's Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, MD, and a Childbirth Education Specialist. We found this method of evangelism very successful and well received by the OB/GYN doctors who sent patients to us. For 10 weeks the patients attend the prenatal class which caused a bonding between the teacher and patient. Then we did an, 'eye ball to eye ball' post natal visit in the home of the patient. It was explained to them, 'How can you tell your new baby about Christ if you don't know Christ?'
