My Wife Filed For Divorce

My wife has filed for divorce and left home. God has revealed to me that she has been possessed by a Jezebel spirit. She will not even discuss it or see a counselor. I want to restore our relationship, but she is possessed by this spirit of rebellion, deceit, destruction. Can anyone offer assistance?

Moderator - Prayer and fasting. Use this time to draw closer to God and make yourself a better mate regardless of what she does.

The Bible commands men to love their wives even as Christ loved the church, then wives are told to submit to their husbands as the church to Christ. If you seriously loved your wife(unconditionally)why wouldn't she submit to you? Go apologize to your wife and tell her you cannot leave without her.Ask her for a second chance. That's the easiest way of dealing with Jezebel. Most times in marriage its our past life which affects our marriages. Find out about her father, whether she loves and trusts him, or she is carrying bitterness. The same applies to you. Then find out about the mothers.Become honest to each other, then your marriage will bloom. Its not too late.

Some charismatic churches overuse the words 'the spirit of ***' or 'a *****spirit'

It sometimes seems fashionable to say he/she is possessed by the spirit of**** than to just say the person has sinned.

Some people are just misled and need better teaching in the churches. We all need to pray for Godly teachers in our churches. Many are going their own way and teach what they choose from the pulputs. They will be held accountable for those they lead astray.

it takes two for a marriage to work but one to destroy it. there has been much on the jezebel spirit on christianet. I don't even know sometimes what that means. all you can do is pray for your wife and when she finds out the grass is the same on both sides of the fence, she will want to come home. my sons wife left him because she connected with a high school guy at a high school reunion. she wanted a divorce and she got it but now she calls my son almost everyday wanting to come back even tho she is still with him. he moved from Indiana to Georgia. honestly I don't get it. she is with another man but wants to come back.

There are two sayings that came to me as I read your statement: one, "It takes two to tango" and two, "A contented cow does not leave the pasture"

So, why did she leave? To just state she has "Jezebel spirit", indicates to me, you think all of this is her fault, and not yours. What I would to at this time is take a pen and write down points that you did or maybe didn't do to cause her to leave. Also, do what the moderator suggested and pray about this. You might also take advantage of this time to see a Christian Marriage Counselor - one who does not know you or your wife.

\\Possession means she was never saved, so don't jump to conclusions -Satan likes to play mind games\\

But Caleb, Optimist's wife is NOT possessed by a Jezebel spirit.

God could not possibly have revealed this to him, because God revealed to me a long time ago that there is no such thing as one.

Therefore, OPTIMIST, and maybe you, are the ones confused.

Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Possession means she was never saved, so don't jump to conclusions -Satan likes to play mind games. The closer you are to God, the clearer you will be able to see the problems, because you will have dealt with it all before in a different way and had your demons silenced. All it takes is authority in Christ over the spirit, but you have to understand what the will of God is. If the demon remains unchecked it is not because of your lack of faith, just a different plan on God's part. Pray now against it, then trust in God above all things. "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me." I am sorry for how painful it is for you, but you have my respect. Be glorified through this. Follow God.

\\God reveals many things to me also just by His Words in the bible. \\

And just where does the Bible use the formula "Jezebel spirit," shira?

Please give book, chapter, and verse.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Just because a person acts like Jezebel doesn't mean they have a Jezebel Spirit, which by the way doesn't exist. That is another false spirit hatched by some person with an overactive imagination. No where in the Bible does it say there is such a thing. If anyone thinks I'm wrong then you need to back it up with scripture. To the poster the Bible says if the unsaved wants to leave let them go.

ok ok ok, cluny: God reveals many things to me also just by His Words in the bible. wow, its no big deal unless you are making a big deal out of it. I love to study doctrine but the only thing God expects us to do is simply tell everyone what Jesus did for us. the only spirit used is the Holy Spirit.

\\cluny, there is a jezebel spirit.\\

shira, God revealed to me years ago that there is no such thing as a "Jezebel spirit."

Therefore, Optimist is deluded. And so are you.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

cluny, there is a jezebel spirit. it is a woman who acts like jezebel. I have always thought jezebel is the same thing as a harlot. a jezebel spirit is just a figure of speech describing the conduct of a person.

Optimist...Please specify how your wife is rebellious, deceitful and destructive. Did you have any part in your marital problems? Did she just decide to leave a HAPPY marriage suddenly?
---KarenD on 12/18/13

if guys would love their wives like God loved the church, divorce would be non existant. that can go in reverse too.
---shira4368 on 12/18/13

Have you been a sacrificial husband, loving her as Christ loved the Church? Have you asked God to reveal what role you have played in the destruction of your marriage?

As Cluny has pointed out, there is no such thing as a Jezebel spirit.

It's time to look in the mirror, and self examine.
---Grandma on 12/17/13

There's no such thing as a "Jezebel spirit," so God did not reveal this to you.

If you will recall, Jezebel never did leave Ahab.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
