Sis. Lidia, you do not have to apologize for anything. When the Bible uses words like "fear" "world" "us" and many others words, we have to read the context to find out what that word is talking about. The word "world' can mean every single person, or every nation, or all nationalities, depending on the context. With fear, we have the fear of God, and other times, we should never fear coming to God. Some fear used differently. You are doing great sister.
---Mark_V. on 1/19/14|
To all let me apologize,. I think I did get it wrong,ok forgive me.
A spirit of fear.. the Bible speaks on different situations, people had fear/ spirit of fear..let me further study.
, love of Jesus!

Luke 15:10_11 "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
And he said, A certain man had two sons:..."
Christ exemplified the heavenly joy of God's angels "by comparing it" to the joy of a "fleshly" father on the return of his wayward son.
---Nana on 1/16/14|
Some foolishly explain the "fear of God" by comparing it to their fleshly parents. Are there even similarities to fearing God who's spiritual and righteous to our fleshly parents or anyone of mankind, seriously?
Let Christ admonish to us the difference, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28
The writer of Hebrew 10:30, "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

---Lidia4796 on 1/15/14|
shira, you should stop explaining yourself, that's because you're defining "stupider" to a level never heard or seen before.
---christan on 1/15/14|
Christian, you get more stupider (hey cluny) than anyone I know. I was only afraid of my parents when I knew I was getting it for something I had done. I was not raised to be afraid of my parents. they were great and yes they raised us right. I mentioned cluny because stupider is not a word...its my spelling. lol
---shira4368 on 1/15/14|
"same with God. but I was not afraid of my dad or mom" shira
If you're not "afraid of your dad and mom", why then do you say, "the fear is the same fear we were growing up with our dads and moms. If I did something wrong, my dad got the belt and punished me." Say what?
Bottomline is, you have no understanding of the word "fear", period.
You contradict yourself all in one blog reply. You don't need others to help you. You're doing a good job at it yourself.

The fear of God should be in every believer, those born of the Spirit. We should fear Him who loves us. For everything He does is for our good. We should fear His chastening when we sin, for that chastening can be very terrible to some. Some lose everything for the sins they commit. But if they are born of the Spirit they will never be lost. If an individual does not have the fear of God, he is not one of His children. For all the children of God are partakers of God's chastening. If you are not a partaker, you are illegitimate, and not a child of God.
---Mark_V. on 1/15/14|
the fear of God does not mean we are afraid of God. the fear is the same fear we were growing up with our dads and moms. If I did something wrong, my dad got the belt and punished me. same with God. but I was not afraid of my dad or mom. they were wonderful and they should have disciplined me more.

The New covenant tells us that God puts His fear in us believers.
"Then I will give them a new heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good, but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me"
Everyone who is born of the Spirit has the fear of God in them, the reason no genuine believer can be lost. They will never depart from Him.
Many claim they can lose their salvation, they never had it to began with, because if they did, they would never depart from God.

There is a good article by Jason Liske called The Spirit of Fear and the Spirit of Love.
Christ is baptized.

Many Christians quote 2 Tim 1:7 like it is a magic charm. They think if they quote it enough times, God will cause the fear they feel to go away.
Only trust in God can cause the fear to leave. Faith in God can only be realized if you trust that God is good, and good all the time.
Many believers see The Father and Jesus in a bad cop/good cop way. They see Jesus as loving, kind, and good. But see The Father as mean, judgmental, and even cruel. They forget that Jesus came to show us The Father and if we have seen Jesus, we have seen The Father.

Yes! It is nothing more than demons trying to get you to draw-back. Keep going forward is a must. As long as you don't bow to them, you okay. God's power is stronger than your weaknesses, and Satan's strength.

A person born again can be filled as they wish. If they want to be filled with the Power of God be fill with it, If they want to be filled will something other than that, what are they believing. All though the New Testament Jesus give us the POWER to over come. The question is do you believe him, or are you taught something other than that.

"Can a spirit filled Christian suffer from the spirit of fear?" Yes.
If that one has yet to fully rest in the Father's Spirit, and embraced the fact that He "has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind", and keeps that truth in the forefront of ones thinking. For "the Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear, rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, Abba, Father. There is no fear in love. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment." If ones mind is focused on doing that which is edifying, uplifting, and beneficial to and towards ones fellow man, there would be no need for fear.

Mark4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
At first these men were fearful when they saw the winds and the waves. Then they were fearful when they saw the power of Christ! When we fear it is simply a show of our lack of faith or that we are not exercising the faith that is within us.
When we feel fear swelling up inside us, just like a child that fears runs to it's father for comfort and security, we should run to our Heavenly Father!
Lord bless you sister!

There is a healthy respect and awe of God--fear in this sense.
There's also a nervous fear, wondering if this, that, or the other innocent act is sinful. Some people on these blogs suffer from that.
Christ is baptized!
---Cluny on 1/12/14|
You MUST be specific as to what you mean "the spirit of fear".
Scripture explicitly declares, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God... There is no fear of God before their eyes." Romans 3:9-18
Yet Solomon wrote, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7
Therefore, if your fear is in God, blessed are you for the Spirit of God is upon you.
