Is The Bible God's Testimony

JESUS says John 5:33-34 John has testified to the truth. Not that I accept human testimony, but I mention it that you may be saved. SO THEN, is the Bible GODS TESTIMONY (OR) is the Bible a collection of human testimonies USED BY GOD to INVOLVE HIS CREATION in the salvation of others?

2 Peter 1:21 - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man : but by the Holy men of God spake as they were move by the Holy Ghost,

2 Samuel 23:2 - The spirit of the Lord spake by me , and his words was in my tongue,

Jeremiah 36:4 - Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord , which he had spoken unto him upon a roll of a book,

servant: "Prophets did not use their own words, Moses did not use His own words. They spoke and wrote as they were told."

Where did you get that? What you describe is called "automatic writing", an occult practice (as in The Book of Mormon). The prophets did occasionally quote God, but it was generally preceded by "Thus sayeth the lord" or some such. If the language was dictated directly, as you assert, then the entire Bible would sound like it came from the same person, and be in the same language. It does not, and it is not.

So the question remains, Where do you get your ideas from? Certainly not from the Bible.

Their words are their own but the thoughts are from GOD - NOT TRUE. Their own words, are THEIR own words, not the words inspired by God. Prophets did not use their own words, Moses did not use His own words. They spoke and wrote as they were told.
Bible is inspired - SCRIPTURE is inspired. Many bibles have other non-inspired inclusions to them: Harmonies, Contents, Comments.
The misinterpretation comes when men look at the words and change them to fit their thoughts - which is EXACTLY what Bible writers would do if permitted by God. ---Samuelbb7 on 1/22/17
---aservant on 1/23/17

The Bible is written by inspired men - God says He inspired SCRIPTURE, not men - 2Tim 3:16
Their hearts are not prisms of wickedness but filled with the Holy Spirit - David had the Holy Spirit when he committed adultery and murder - Ps 51:11. Having the Holy Spirit does not stop men from sinning - God says there is a LAW of sin that operates in our flesh, regardless how much we don't want to sin - Rom 7 ---Samuelbb7 on 1/22/17

"The bible is NOT holy in and of itself as men see it today."

Error, The Scriptures teach that they aloneare, "The Infallibel Rule for Faith and Prace." from Gen to Rev...

"Jesus and the apostles, and all those that came after them, taught the old testament spiritually."

Error, they taught both (litteral and figurative) context determine meaning.

"
The new testament is not the final authority for."

The New Testament says that it is "The Word of the Living God."

Mike 4879 ask, "You think then that the Bible is THE WORD OF GOD, GOD'S OWN WORD, AS SUCH NO ERROR BY HUMAN?"

Yes sir, the "Scriptures." are "Infallible, Inerrant Words of the Living God."

The writers of the "Scriptures." were not "Inspired.", but the words they pinned were "Inspired, Infallible, and inerrant."

It is vital to note translations are not "Inspired.",but the "Scripture." in its origination is "Inspired."

The bible is NOT holy in and of itself as men see it today.

The "bible is a collection of writings of God's relationship with his people and what God taught them through certain people.

Jesus and the apostles, and all those that came after them, taught the old testament spiritually. The teachings from God is the final authority.

The new testament is not the final authority for many other letters and journals were written that would fill a large library of the many things Jesus did - which can be found in the three largest libraries in eastern Europe.

Even the Romans, being very meticulous in keeping records, recorded the trials of a man that coincided the the biblical account of "Jesus."

Asevent you do not make a true point.

The Bible is written by inspired men. Their hearts are not prisms of wickedness but filled with the Holy Spirit. Their words are their own but the thoughts are from GOD. So the Bible is inspired.

The misinterpretation comes when men look at the words and change them to fit their thoughts. For example some have taught that it is okay to live in sin. That is not from the Bible.

We use this knowledge to translate the Bible into other languages. Muslims believe all the words are inspired so they reject the Bible and the hardcore don't translate it.

God instilled thoughts to holy men, but they expressed those thoughts in their own words.---Jerry6593 on 1/19/17

Therefore the Bible is not the inspired Word of God, rather it is the INTERPRETATION of men who received the inspired Word of God, which is then subject to the misinterpretation of men, subject to the limits of the writer's understanding, and subject to being understood through the evil prism of a man's heart.

Does the dictator of words expect the final document to be exactly as dictated?

If men are careful to ensure their thoughts are written exactly as desired, why would God be any less careful, since the Bible is FAR MORE important than what is being dictated by a human?
---aservant on 1/21/17

I agree with Samuel and Cluny. The Scriptures are God-breathed. God instilled the thoughts to holy men, but they expressed those thoughts in their own words.

2Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

BOTH

But the Church is the ownership of the Bible as directed by Her Bridegroom.

As I said before, you can have chemo that saves someone's life.

But you still need the Doctor that understands the chemo and knows how, when, how much and how long the chemo should be administer to saves a life

When I was a machinist, each machinist had a hand book on how to become a machinist, and how to function as a machinist, the Bible is God's hand book on how become a Christian and how to function as a Christian.

Amen Cluny I agree. The men who wrote the Bible were inspired.

GOD has to talk to us in a way we can understand.
---Samuelbb7 on 1/14/17

Well, right in the scripture, Jesus makes it plain that John's testimony is not "human testimony". So, it is God's testimony through John.

But there are things which humans experience, but then God inspires us to share our personal experience of God.

God used people to

1. Write the various books of the Bible.

2. Determine what should be in it.

I personally believe that God worked with and through the personalities, styles, and vocabularies of the individual authors to get His Message across, but did not dictate it word by word in something akin to automatic writing.

Christ is baptized! In the Jordan!
