Exactly right! It's possible to discuss and debate opinions about facts, but once one has declared someone an enemy and hates him, it's battle without quarter, and it can never benefit anyone.

WELL SAID and very true

There are some Democrats who are reasonable, and some who are slavering left-wing extremists. There are some Republicans who are reasonable, and some who are slavering right-wing extremists.

StrongAxe
Your absolutely right. But our hatred for views, views different from our own, only allows those who hate to paint with a broad brush.

You and I disagree on many things, but we don't hate each other because of our views. This is why we can discuss things on which we disagree, in a mature matter.

When hate enters into a discussion, immaturity is sure to follow. It's hard for anyone to act mature when their angry. And the news media doesn't help, with all their biases.

Why would anyone want to do that? No!!
If they are a strong believer in God's word. Nothing or no one can hinder them.

Get behind me Satan.

You just can't stop with the attacks, an you? You HAVE to bring political mud-slinging into a discussion about something totally unrelated.

There are some Democrats who are reasonable, and some who are slavering left-wing extremists. There are some Republicans who are reasonable, and some who are slavering right-wing extremists. Both extremes are dangerous, but there are reasonable people in both parties. Stop painting everyone with a wide black-and-white-only brush!

You got what you wanted today. Why aren't you out in the street partying or something, and leave the discussion to people who want to actually discuss rationally?

MarkA: "Many people could be called emotional or spiritual vampires. They thrive by sucking life and energy out of others. They love to forment drama and conflict. They never help others, or interact with others for their benefit, but only for their own. The phrase, "sowing discord among the brethren" comes to mind"

That sounds like the definition of the Demoncrat Party.

Many people could be called emotional or spiritual vampires. They thrive by sucking life and energy out of others. They love to forment drama and conflict. They never help others, or interact with others for their benefit, but only for their own. The phrase, "sowing discord among the brethren" comes to mind. Saturday Night Live's "church lady" is a good example - prentending to be pious, but full of only accusations, like the devil (whose name in Greek is literally "the accuser").

You could try to be noble and try to help them, but most of them don't want your help. Unless you are specifically trying to minster to such people (and have the calling and stamina to do so), you should avoid them like the plague.

You can, If you have more influence in their Christian walk, than Gods Holy Spirit. There are numerous places in the Bible where God warns us of becoming followers of men. God created us, and he knows our weaknesses, and we need to be wary of his warnings.

The multi denominational Church is a prime example of this warning being ignored. If all Christians followed Gods Holy Spirit, would we have more than one denomination?

God will guide His people to the worship service where He wants them to participate. Mature Christians will not disobey God over someone in attendance. Immature Christians should understand, God wants them in that place for His Spiritual reasons, and they should not leave for their own human reasons.

Pastor should sit down with both people and deal with it. If he has a member who is causing someone not to come back to the church, pastor needs to know why.

//I'm not coming here because so and so goes here, so if she or he goes here to this church, then I don't want any part of it..---Christal on 1/17/17

The answer is simple.

Tell the person he can LEAVE if he doesn't like the one already in the Church.

Why would the Church danger another person's soul just because another person is evil enough to demand someone else to be kicked out.

The other person isn't part of the Church family.

That's like a kid coming into your family demanding you throw out your one of your own kid before he becomes a part of the family.

That problem isn't hard to solve.

Yes, I can explain my question. Say if someone new was to walk into your church and they see someone that they know and they say, I'm not coming here because so and so goes here, so if she or he goes here to this church, then I don't want any part of it... We come in contact with people daily and we have no idea who we influence for Christ

In some cases, I will say "yes" definitely!

Someone hindering my walk with Christ just by their presence? how is that? As a christian we need fill ourselves with the Word - what does the word of God say.. we can have victory in every matter with our renewed minds Roman 12:2. We need to keep our minds renewed daily with the word of God, which is light, lamp unto our feet to direct us on what to do / how to go about in every situation (even in the above referred presence). So someone claiming to hindered in their walk with Christ because of someone else's presence, to me is weak excuse because all we need to do in all situations of live, we have the direction in the Word of God,

1.yes, when Jesus is no longer between the two. when your will presses his/her will.
2.when this happens, being submitted might need energy, but if pray God for energy (help), the life might progress futther ,closer to God.
