How Real Is Satan

Although a number of thousand years have elapsed, many Christians have missed comprehending the wiles of the "Destroyer". My question relates to Genesis 3:1. God warns us that Satan is real (Ephesians ch.6)!

As real as my wife and as real as a man who swindled us out of millions and as real as the people who trespassed, broke in and plundered us.

You are not in South Africa by any chance are you? Chicago?

Psa_119:61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

Jer_50:37 A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her, and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed.

Kathyr, Strong ax and Mike good points.

Satan has lies for every way to trick us.

GOD has only one truth to guide us. Let us study the Bible to understand truth so the lies will not trick us.

Satan is very real. He and all his munchkins under him, to cause mayhem to the People of God. He does this of his own free will, knowing he has only a short time do we.

God gave the Angels a choice when Lucifer fell, and 1/3 chose Lucifer. Now he is after you.. Who will you choose...LIFE of DEATH. Gods way or Satans way. Satan hates God with everything in him....and he hates man too.

CHOOSE LIFE! CHOOSE GOD'S WAY? THe Lord has made a way for man to be redeemed. There will be no redemption for angels.

You wrote: In Jesus Christ, in essence, a true believer is reassured that its soul is hid from Satan!

True. However, one common errors that arises from this is to lapse into complacency (e.g. "I'm safe, so I don't need to be vigilant").

Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

We are not slaves or servants of God, the Jews were.
---faithforfaith on 2/7/17

Judah/jews were only 1/13th of Israel.
Servant-hood of Israel/Judah was covenanted as Marriage.
Jer_3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD, for I am married unto you: ...
(Which resulting in Divorce/putting away of "Ten" family parts)
Punishment, redemption, an a New Covenant.
Jer 3:18 ...
Isa 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken, neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
Isa the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

We are not slaves or servants of God, the Jews were. Jesus was the FIRSTBORN son (the one that had been begotten by the FATHER (the Fathers offspring).

Rom 8:29 that he might be the first-born.

This is the age of eternity (what scripture says WILL HAPPEN has already happened in this age). We HAVE BEEN adopted to be SONS OF THE FATHER (THIS is my understanding/religion).

Rom 8:23 as we wait for adoption as sons

Gal 4:5 adoption as sons.

I SHALL NOT WANT anything more than what He has decided to give me.
I do not worship Him with LIP SERVICE.

...if you know the meaning of "spiritual debate"!
---Jean_Muller on 2/1/17

There is no debate with truth verified by a cloud of witnesses.
If there is debate one side or the other usually has no scriptural witnesses to provide.
For instance take the New Covenant: Heb_8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Would you debate the above? ...provide witnesses.

faith: Where do you get your religion? Certainly not from the Bible.

Be careful ...

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The word "satan" is the identity given to the SCAPEGOAT FOR THE WILDERNESS.

Leviticus 16:10 RSV
"scapegoat into the wilderness".

OUR scapegoat hung on the cross.

"SATAN" is the incarnation of MAN'S WAYS. SATAN has been destroyed (no longer exists) by Jesus and the eternal divine Spirit.

We are in the mist of the great falling away from the faith.

Love, true love (as in the verb form), is quickly evaporating from the face of the world. Just take a good look at the world around you. Love for God and his fellow man has practically disappeared.

The love of many has waxed cold where violence has grown progressively worse just within the past five years - the turning point being the 1960s. Microaggression and violent protests, especially during the Trump campaign until now, show that satan has only a short time left and he's doing everything he can to wreak havoc in the world.

While man says "peace, peace, peace," they prepare for war.

Yes, satan is real.
---Steveng on 2/4/17

An ignorant world, therefore, without Christ, is doomed to be deceived by Satan! Yes Jean and unfortunately most of the world will be, not only the world, but the church as well. Satan greatest deception will be, when he comes in the stead of Christ and stands in the temple of God, exhibiting himself as God.
---joseph on 2/1/17

Satan is indeed real. And despite Jesus freed all of us from Satan by dying in the cross lots will be with Satan's. Jesus blood is the greatest weapon to destroying Satan's schemes: deceptions and human's unstoppable sin due to 2 Timothy 3:1-5. If we are genuine believers and not yet being reached by the ISIS MAY WE SHARE THE GOSPEL TO THE LOST with urgency. WE CAN GIVE FUNDS TO THOSE WHO ARE DOING IT F WE CAN'T DO A MISSIONARY WORK. To overview how our God is doing His Kingdom on earth you can attend Kairos Course for only 5 days. You can research Kairos at Google. God Bless and be alarmed plus get involve for Satan is A DEFEATED FOE.

In Jesus Christ, in essence, a true believer is reassured that its soul is hid from Satan! I accord with your perspective with regard to Ephesians 6 which expounded clearly that the Christian spiritual warfare is as real as Satan himself!

For example, there are a number of false doctrines in which Satan is actively working his tricks. An ignorant world, therefore, without Christ, is doomed to be deceived by Satan!

I invite true and intelligent Christians (Acts 17:11) to join this Blog. No need to be afraid to express yourself if you know the meaning of "spiritual debate"!

Thanks, Joseph!

There is no question that Satan is real, and that he is a real threat to man, that's why the Father has supplied His armor to the believer. However the reality is many are involving themselves in a battle that they can't possibly win in their own strength, yet it is a battle that has already been won, and the believer has been given the victory. "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Do you experience the Devil? Far too much.
---mike4879 on 1/31/17

Did you experience the reality of the Devil in your Christian life?

Implicitly, in view of many denominations which are false doctrines, Satan had blinded this world. My point is that various professed Christians do not see the seriousness of the Christian battle with the "adversary".

Thank you for responding!

You made three separate declaritive sentences, Jean, but you asked no question.

What is it?

Glory to Jesus Christ!
