Brother Sister In Christ

What do you think it takes for you to consider someone your brother or sister in Christ? I see cult members posting all the time who use these terms.

Jesus' "sheep" can tell the difference, Karen. A sheep can smell who is a real pastor, and who is a wolf in pastor's clothing. John 10:1-30

Every child of God, not only our leaders, has the "fragrance of Christ" >

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Ephesians 5:2

Our Heavenly Father, then, can tell > He can smell if we obey how He says to love >

"And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma." (Ephesians 5:2)

samuelBB7 states, "Nicole they are not twin brothers according to Latter day Saints doctrines. Just same Father different mothers."

Sir, did you not read Mormon Sources/authorities telling you what they believe??

I think they should know they are the ones who taught it...

I had to do some research on your answer. Very interesting.

Now that you have read the Nicene Creed, I would be interested to know what you think about the words and the theology of the Creed.

The fight over the Nicene Creed was about the deity of Jesus. The Creed attempted to posit that Jesus was the same essence, the same being (in the meaning like human being) as God the Father.

The Nicene Creed helped in the establishment of the doctrine of the Trinity.

Our Christian faith is the Trinitarian faith of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Nicole they are not twin brothers according to Latter day Saints doctrines. Just same Father different mothers.

Since GOD has multiple wives.

The Book of Mormon has very bad history.

American Indians are not Jews.

The book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible, (History of the Church, vol. 4, p. 461).

Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).

God used to be a man on another planet (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321, Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614, Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345, Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333).

After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345-347, 354).

There is a mother god (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443).
God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children (Mormon Doctrine, p. 516).

The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35).

There are many gods (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).

John, quote from The Book of Mormon everything you just said about them.

Especially the one about Jesus being the twin brother of satan. I never heard of that and my twin sister was a Mormon for a short while.

If you can't cite statements from the The Book of Mormons please retract what you said about them.

Nicole ask, "Okay, I am glad you found Jesus, but how do you know Mormons TODAY do not know Jesus?
Just because they don't worship Jesus like you?"

Nicole, ma'am really?

Mormons deny the "Blessed Trinity." (Jesus a God among many gods)

They believe Jesus is the Twin Brother of Satan do you not see this as being problematic??

They believe Jesus atone for sin in the Garden of Gethsemane not the cross...

KarenD: You have not answered my question. What do you think it takes for you to consider someone your brother or sister in Christ?//

I did answer your question.

I presumed of all people you knew what Matthew 12:48-50 was speaking about without having to go to the Bible.

I thought you said your husband was Pastor?

Also you claimed you were going to feed hungry people on Christmas Day.

So if I took care of sick people and you feed hungry people that's all in Matthew 25.

Matthew 12:50 declares we are sisters

"For whoever does the will of my Father in Heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

KarenD: Everything is not about you//

Really, strange how you posted right after I called you my sister in Christ. ANYWHO

//I am a former Mormon who found the real Jesus.//

Okay, I am glad you found Jesus, but how do you know Mormons TODAY do not know Jesus?

Just because they don't worship Jesus like you?

//I see many cult members trying to say we are brothers and sisters in Christ.---KarenD on 1/13/18

It's a little arrogant of you to think you can determine who are Christ's brother and sisters or not.

Why don't we let Jesus determine who are His brothers and sisters or not? Matthew 12:48-50
---Nicole_Lacey on 1/13/18

Nicole. Everything is not about you. I am a former Mormon who found the real Jesus. I see many cult members trying to say we are brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mark-Eaton..Thank you. I had to do some research on your answer. Very interesting.

//BE HAPPY SISTER IN CHRIST!---Nicole_Lacey on 1/10/18

WOW,

You don't know you have touched a nerved until someone lets you know you did indirectly.

I guess this post means I REALLY TOUCH KAREND'S NERVE!

I am touched.

This blog is dedicated to me.

Let me turn your own blog around on you.

I was telling you that you were still a child of Christ thus my sister.

But, if don't see yourself AS my sister in Christ, it doesn't mean I am NOT a sister of Christ.

That's like a siblings of same parents claiming one, but not another.

It only means you don't see yourself as Christ's sister.

Because I am Christ's sister.

Take yourself out of Christ's family, but I WILL NOT!

KarenD ask, "What do you think it takes for you to consider someone your brother or sister in Christ?"

This is an awesome Question...

read following:

1. They must believe in the Inspired, Infallible, Inerrant Word of the Living God the Scriptures (the bible).

2. They must believe in the Trinity.

3. They must believe in the Deity of Christ.

4. They must believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

5. They must believe in justification by faith alone...

To deny these doctrines is anexample of Gal 1:6-9...

For me, my statement of faith is the Nicene Creed (without the filoque).
