Biblical Technology Prophesis
Today's technology is found in many end time prophesies of both old and new testaments of the bible. The prophets of old and John tried to describe technology as best they can using their worldview. Daniel 12:4 For example: how would you relate Revelation 13:15 to Sophie, the robot?

Two things that prove the existence of God: miracles and prophecy. Technology is mentioned throughout the bible, but man will not understand end time prophecy without its description, even technology. How was the helicopter described in Revelation? Sophie, the robot, is now a citizen of Saudi Arabia. What part of Revelation could allude to this?

Look up the meanings of "propheCy" and "propheSy" in a dictionary.
Glory to Jesus Christ!

Cluny: Nicole, "propheSy" is a verb.
The noun you are looking for is "propheCy".//
Thanks, but I am confused.
Plus, everyone knows my grammar and spelling is pathetic.
Please explain another to rewrite this sentence: (I really what to know)
**Prophesy comes from a Prophet who gives God's warning or message.**
Isn't the 'Prophet' the Noun?
And giving God's warning or message as 'PropheSy' being the verb?

Steveng, some prophecies ARE symbolic.
For example, take the books that will be opened at the Last Judgement, as Revelation says.
Of course, in the culture of the time, "books" were scrolls, not codices as we have today.
But you don't think these books are literal earthly books, do you?

Steveng: Prophesy is only symbolic to the people who don't understand.//
That doesn't make any sense.
Prophesy comes from a Prophet who gives God's warning or message. (usually a warning)
They are clear on what the people have to do if they don't want the wrath of God.
God kept telling the people He was taking the land away from the people or the people from the land.
They didn't heed so God went through with His Word which the people understood.
Read 1 Samuel concerning them wanting a King.
Samuel was clear what was going to happen to them with a King. The people didn't care until the storm occurred in chapter 16

I'm writing about prophesy descriptions not metaphors or similes to describe spiritual matters using worldly knowledge.

You wrote: Prophesy is only symbolic to the people who don't understand.
Incorrect. Jesus is "The Lamb", but he is not covered in wool, regardless of whether you understand or not. The Beast of Revelation is actually a man, not some bizarre creature - he's a man (specifically, his number is the number of a man).
Again, you SAY the things I mentioned are ready to be implemented, but you have yet to SPECIFICALLY prove this by showing even one that is close. Please give an actual example that is close to happening now.
---StrongAxe on 12/28/18|
Jerry/Strongaxe, Prophesy is only symbolic to the people who don't understand. The descriptions of end day prophesies were described using the worldly knowledge of the prophets who describe the events. How would you describe things and events three thousand years from today? You would describe them using today's worldly knowledge and the people three thousand years from now would also think your descriptions were symbolic.
Strongaxe, the things that you mentioned in your 12/24/18 comment ARE not only close to happening today, but are ready to be implemented. But people need to be eased into the changes like the boiled frog metaphor.
Read 2 Peter 3:3,4

Steve: "Only to people who don't understand."
If you understood, you would know that prophecy is indeed symbolic.

The Beast will force everyone to bear his mark, or else not be able to buy or sell. Before that happens, the Beast has to be in total control of world commerce. Before that happens, there needs to be some universal mechanism to buy or sell (e.g. a common currency, a common market with one point of control, a universal credit card that totally replaces all cash, etc.) that one person can take control of. There also isn't the technology needed to prevent black market barter transactions, which would also be necessary to stop ANYONE from buying or selling. None of these things are anywhere near close to happening yet.

Steveng: Prophecy is given to men to turn their allegiance to God, not to describe current technology. You are on the right track by looking at Daniel and the Revelation. I suggest you start in Dan 2, and review the future of the world. (It is the book of Daniel that is the key to understanding Revelation, and it is in reference to Daniel that "knowledge is increased" in the last days.)
Keep in mind that the subject of these prophecies is WORSHIP. Prophecy is highly symbolic, such that a "beast" is a power, a "woman" is a church, "waters" are multitudes of people, etc.

Robotic AI is still in its infancy and is progressing very quickly.
Strongaxe wrote: "There isn't even a Beast to follow yet."
Not that you know of.
Besides, Most people, including most christians, will not recognize the beast even if it were in front of them. The way the world is "progressing" now it will be within the next seven years. Luke 6:22, 2 Peter 3:3

Google: robot sophia about her. In particular, watch her CNBC interview.
It's unlikely a robot will be the False Prophet: in Revelation 19:20, the Beast and the False Prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire. Are robots "alive"? Do they have souls? Would God throw a bunch of electronics into hell?
Many raised "Mark of the Beast" alarms again and again, e.g. SSN, bar codes, RFID chips. Alarmism is like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" - after many false alarms are raised, people become cynical of prophets, so they won't heed the real alarm when it DOES finally come. We've also seen this with date-setters falsely predicting the date of Christ's return.

forces everyone ON EARTH to accept a Mark, and nobody ON EARTH can buy or sell without such a mark...
---StrongAxe on 12/20/18
But it never starts this way. The deception always starts slowly.
Like with imbedding a microchip under your skin on the back of your hand to identify you at the gym, at work, to unlock your smart home, etc.
Then before you know it, you will be able to buy stuff at the grocery, at the pump, etc. by swiping your hand. Like you can now with your RFID card.
All that is left is for the government to remove currency from circulation. I see that happening in 2-3 generations. Only people over 45 pay with cash.

I have seen some videos of horrible things some AIs said, and she may have been included.
Regardless of what she said, she isn't convincing millions to follow The Beast, is she? There are many humans who also say totally deplorable things, e.g. Charles Manson.
There isn't even a Beast to follow yet. There is no person with power to control ALL world markets, able to forbid everyone on the planet who doesn't receive a Mark from buying or selling.
Until the Beast actually arrives, trying to identify the False Prophet will likely be futile speculation.
The Bible tells us to contest evil. It never tells us to try to second guess where evil might come from, and label it before it happens.

Strongaxe, have you even listened to any of the interviews with Sofie?
---Steveng on 12/21/18|
We have had artificial intelligence around for quite some time now, as well as the ability to create lifelike images of humans (e.g. talking heads).
Since Sophie the Robot isn't commanding people to worship The Beast, nor commanding that people be killed, she doesn't relate to Revelation 13:15.
It's the same with all the hysteria about calling this or that person The Beast. Until someone actually comes forth and commands everyone to worship him, forces everyone ON EARTH to accept a Mark, and nobody ON EARTH can buy or sell without such a mark, (or we even have an infrastructure where such could even be remotely feasible, such as a universal currency), all such claims and predictions are premature.
