Was Hitler Left Or Right

Was Hitler on the Left or Right?

Hitler was evil, and I don't defend him. However, he was against Stalin and Marx. He was a Nationalist Socialist, where as Marx and Stalin were International Socialists. The end point is the same, but read Das Kapital and Mein Kampf to understand the difference.

KATHR. President Woodrow Wilson got Henry Ford to run for the Michigan seat in the U.S. Senate as a DEMOCRAT.

I agree Ford was anti-Semite, as some Leftist politicians are even today.

In spite of the overwhelming evidence that Fascism/Nazism is of the Left, the commonly accepted mantra that somehow it's of the Right only proves how successful the Left's propaganda lies through the Left's dominance of the megaphones of society, has been.

That's my point Haz27, both Dems and Republicans have Hitler admirers. A little FACT you fail to acknowledge. That was my original posting....that there are Fascist's on both sides of the aisle.

Cluny, are you saying Marxism and Fascism are exactly the same? What was your point. I must have missed it. I didn't see Ford being accused of Marxism. I compared Ford and Hitlers Fascism. In Hitlers early writings, Hitler didn't support Marxism. Ford didn't either. But we do know hundreds of thousands of Henry Fords vile propaganda garbage tracts were all over Germany in the 20''s and 30's. And AGAIN Henry Ford was a REPUBLICAN, and even tried to run for President on the Republican ticket.

So it appears EITHER Republicans CAN be fascists ...OR all a fascist has to do IN AMERICA is pretend to be a Republican. We are seeing this today.

kathr, I admit that Ford was a rabid anti-semite, so much so that for years American Jews made a point over not owning one of his products.

But did you know that the first thing that the Marxist government of the USSR did was to declare anti-semitism to be a counter-revolutionary crime?

KATHR. Facts are facts. Sadly you avoid inconvenient facts.

Socialist Lefties Hitler and Giovani Gentile admired Marxism. However they preferred NATIONAL Socialism over Communism's INTERNATIONAL version.

I see you ignored the fact of the DEMs president FDR and Mussolini praising each other on their Fascism.

BTW, another fact you won't like is the DEMs JFK praised Hitler's Nazism.

You can't keep hiding from the facts, Kathr.

Haz27, facts are facts. Karl Marx was born a few years before Henry Ford, who may have influenced many of Henry Fords ideas. Therefore it appears it's not a RIGHT OR LEFT issue at all, but a philosophy that can be promoted by either right or left. HERE IN THE USA! Henry Ford, who influenced Hitler in MANY WAYS, as Hitler openly admired Henry Ford and his writings, was a REPUBLICAN.

Deal with it Haz27. You don't know everything.

KATHR. YOUR Leftist side of politics is the home of Fascism.

Hitler & Giovani Gentile (father of Fascism) both were National Socialists who admired Marxism (International Socialism).

BTW, DEMs president FDR admired Mussolini's Fascism.

A report from the National Recovery Administration (an FDR agency created under the New Deal) stated, The Fascist Principles are very similar to those we have been evolving here in America

The Fascist Mussolini returned praise to FDR saying of the DEMs reforms Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices... Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism.

I agree RichardC. All we need to do is look in our own back yard. Henry antisemitic it wasn't funny. Surrounded himself with Fascist sympathizers, ran for President on the REPUBLICAN TICKET, was again a Republican. Fascism IS an Authoritan Nationalistic RIGHT WING form of government. Hitler admired Henry Ford and loved his openly twisted hatred of the Jews. Totally should study this man and the affect he had on Hitler ....and attitudes still in effect.

---kathr4453 on 5/20/19

Fascism is of the Left.

The father of Fascism is Giovani Gentile, who served as minister of education in the first Fascist run state under Mussolini.

Giovani Gentile was a Socialist who (like Hitler) admired Marxism.

GENTILE sought a society where people willing subordinated themselves to the state.
This is consistent with the Leftist DEMs whose slogan at the 2012 DEMs convention was The Government is the only thing we all belong to

This is consistent with Mussolini's claim in his manifesto All is in the state and nothing human exists or has value outside the state.

Nazism is a form of Fascism : rejects equality and class conflict , which is a part of Marxism , Fascism is right wing

Hitler got many of his ideas from Henry Ford. Not the other way around. So what was Henry Ford? Firstly a racist. Also National Socialists had a peculiar attraction to Henry Ford. May want to start there. We think of Henry Ford as a great Capitalists..... Just some history many may want to research as well.

Monk: Hitler was decidedly LEFT - as are all SOCIALISTS. He used the same Marxist tactics of class warfare and police state enforcement as did Stalin. Stalin murdered more millions of his own innocent citizens than did Hitler, so he was a better Marxist. But Hitler was marching toward world domination by conquest, rather than by ideological indoctrination, as in Communism. So the goal was the same. Why any American would even approach Communism (via Socialism) is a mystery to me.

---jerry6593 on 5/19/19

Hitler opposed Communists. This was family infighting. NATIONAL Socialists versus INTERNATIONAL Socialists (just like Sunni Muslims v Shia Muslims).

Hitler admired Marxism. He said: I have learned a great deal from Marxism as I do not hesitate to admit The difference between [Marxists] and myself is that I have really put into practice what these peddlers and pen-pushers have timidly begun. The whole of National Socialism is based on it.....All I had to do is take over these methods and adapt them to our purpose.

The Nazi Propaganda Minister, Joseph Goebbels said the only incompatible difference between Nazis and Communists was the supposed internationalism of the latter as compared to the fierce nationalism of the former.

It depends on how you draw your charts, I think.
