What he DID do was create a new and better covenant, which we can choose to be part of.

Not according to Christ, and GOD.

You or no one chooses..... maybe its the prob with your doctrine..... needs a little light.

Joh 6:44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: .....
Joh 6:65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
Isa 8:20To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

This why only two parties one people are mentioned in the New Covenant, in Israels book no less. To make it specific, not kattr made. GOD provides witnesses, precept upon precept.
Lets look:
Heb 8:8For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Is it not true, if these men introduced these teachings in your church, they would be called false teachers? If not why not?

(Romans 2:6-7) God who will render to every man according to his deeds: to those who by patient continuance in welldoing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life.

(James 2:23-24)
And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God. Ye see then how by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

(Romans 2:13) For it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
---David on 5/2/21

Of coarse we know what sin is by the Law, being the schoolmaster that brings one to Jesus Christ. No one ever has kept the law perfectly and never once broke it. And as James says, if you break one you break all the law. So those who are SELF- RIGHTEOUS, like the Pharisees, are those addressed in Hebrews 10...who have trampled under foot the Son of God and have insulted the Spirit OF GRACE.

Sin is dealt with as we see under Grace by obeying Romans 6-8. Those chapters show step by step instruction, and truth in HOW God now works in the believer regarding not only sin, but the new creature IN CHRIST.

Paul again admonishes the Galatians who fell from GRACE . Gal 3. Please read too.
---kathr4453 on 5/2/21

These two verses are the very core and heart and soul of the Gospel of Grace and our life under Grace. Being crucified with Christ deals with SIN...ROMANS 6-8, And being IN CHRIST deals with righteous living. Jesus took care of every aspect of our salvation and our daily walk IN HIM. PRAISE GOD.

Galatians 2:20-21

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
---kathr4453 on 5/1/21

Also David, Jesus didn't END the law, the law was fulfilled in Christ...TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS. SCRIPTURE SAYS " FOR Christ is the end of the law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE." Why, because now we have the righteousness of CHRIST IN US. Like I stated, no verse declares anyone RIGHTEOUS, except Jesus Christ. We have now HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Galatians 2:20-21....read carefully.
---kathr4453 on 5/1/21

David:

Jesus didn't "eliminate" the Law. He specifically said that not one iota would be removed from the Law. What he DID do was create a new and better covenant, which we can choose to be part of. Those under the old covenant were under the Law. Those under the new covenant are not under the Law, but under Grace.
---StrongAxe on 5/1/21

Kathrine
If Jesus ended the law, as you believe, why would the Holy Spirit convict you of sin, when in (1John 3:5) it clearly says, sin is the transgression of the Law?

I understand that is a difficult question to answer, so go ask your teachers....for a coherent answer, and I will wait.

Coherent... logically connected, consistent:
---David on 5/1/21

David, What gives you the right to PRESUME anyone is not convicted by the Holy Spirit? Because they are not water baptized...IS WHAT YOU SAID. I SIMPLY CORRECTED YOU THAT CONVICTION OF SIN , comes first, Using the schoolmaster of the Law to show us what sin is bringing us to Christ. You think you can keep it. Sinners know they can't, and are thereby rendered helpless. And WOW, God sends Jesus to be a propitiation for sin, taking my sin upon Him.

Because you think YOU ARE the Holy Spirit and know what is between God and man you make false accusations based on your own faulty understanding of scripture.

After we are Born Again, THIS IS HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKS RE SIN.....ROMANS 8:11-13. You reject this truth. I don't.
---kathr4453 on 4/30/21

Has anyone else noticed this? Neither Trav or David's doctrines need Jesus.

I find no evidence of anything you testify too, about yourself or others. What is found is the opposite. Again specific scripture... just for the Sheep stated by Christ.
Mat 10:6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 15:24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 10:23But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come

I find it annoying that you make false accusations.---kathr4453

Look carefully Kathrine, it was a question, not an accusation. The fact you saw it as an accusation...is annoying. You are not under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and I was simply trying to understand why.

There are many false doctrines and I am trying to discover ways to wake people up. My hope is in learning a way through their testimonies.

Oh...one other thing, I never said baptism saves you, or like you, believe someone is saved when they receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are saved when we are born of the Spirit. And the sign of that birth was foretold in (1 John 3:9 & 10). If you choose not to believe it, that is between you and God.
---David on 4/30/21

David, You said Christians who have not been water baptized have no conviction of sin..WRONG....and then insinuate it appears by my answer re Cornelius I was not water baptized.....insinuating I too have never been convicted of sin. You really can't suggest you were unaware of your comment? However Cornelius and his whole family were water baptized.....so your song and dance was for naught.

David 1 Timothy 2:15 say women are saved in childbearing. Should I solely believe this and disregard all other scripture for my salvation?

If I said take two asprin FOR a headache, does that mean I want a headache and therefore must take 2 aspirin to get one?

It appears repentance comes first....not an after in acts 2:38.
---kathr4453 on 4/30/21

David believes you have to be water baptized first in order to get saved, where water baptism convicts you of sin, .....you confess over and over until you become sinless, AND THEN God saves you. I see NO SCRIPTURE that teaches this. This is what you have been saying for two years.

Why do so many doctrines completely leave out Jesus? Has anyone else noticed this? Neither Trav or David's doctrines need Jesus. One needs a New Covenant and the other a Water Baptism.

And you can show scripture till your blue in the face, and all you get is condescending insults ......

Yes David I was water baptized AFTER I was saved and received the Holy Spirit. So was Cornelius water baptized.

Wrong David, I was baptized. David, I find it annoying that you make false accusations based on your own experience. That is a wrong thing to do, but that was my point with Cornelius. You see everything in black or white based on one verse at the expense of all others, and become so dogmatic that YOUR one verse is superior to all the rest of scripture. Water baptism does not saved even a flea. We see the RCC water baptize babies.... Who claim they are saved by their baptisms, and live like hell. Oh yes, they confess to priests.... And then go out and sin some more. You can't do that with Jesus baptism. There is no power in H2O. Even Pope blessed H2O.
---kathr4453 on 4/29/21

Let me ask you David, exactly what did Cornelius do to receive the Holy Spirit?---kathr4453

Cornelius, very interesting because the story clearly shows in (Acts 10:47) these folks did receive the Holy Spirit without water. Which explains to me, why so many people do not get baptized in water. I have come across many Christians who did not feel a Godly sorrow over sin. They all had one thing in common, all were never baptized in water.

But I love your Acts 2 verse. Proves Calvinism is false.---kathr4453

Kathrine
Never really thought about it those terms, but you are right. I guess by your answer...you were never Baptized in water?

The promise of the savior was promised in Genesis 3:15. Jesus was foreordained before the foundation of the world to take away sin. This is called the EVERLASTING Covenant between Father Son and Holy Spirit...Hebrews 13:20-21 clarify. So we know the promise of the Messiah was promised THROUGH Abraham, before any covenant was made with Israel re Moses. The Abrahamic Covenant did, that was originally announced in Genesis 3:15.

So the promise OF THE SPIRIT came long before the New Covenant Promises to Israel. Galatians 3:14 clarify this.

The promise of the Savior again was not promised with the New Covenant, but LONG BEFORE the New Covenant, and it is a covenant of SALVATION FOR THE SIN OF THE WHOLE WORLD, not just Israel.
---kathr4453 on 4/29/21

David, salvation is being BORN OF THE SPIRIT. Unfortunately today there are many false doctrines about the Holy Spirit. Colossians 3 And Eph 2, also clarify the TRIUNE GOD , not just a portion of the Trinity saves you. We are hidden with Christ in God SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. The same Holy Spirit that baptized us into His death the moment we believed. The Same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead....read Romans 8:11-13 with Hebrews 13:20-21.

Let me ask you David, exactly what did Cornelius do to receive the Holy Spirit? Read carefully, did he receive the Holy Spirit before or after he was baptized? But I love your Acts 2 verse. Proves Calvinism is false. Baptism is an outward profession of an inward obedience of faith.

I received the Holy Spirit when I got saved...kathr4453 on 4/27/21

Kathrine
You say you received the Holy Spirit, could you share with me what you did to receive this gift? Did you follow the instruction in (Acts 2:38) or did you receive the gift another way?
---David on 4/28/21

Or CHRIST can be in you, .... As we see totally different and even more powerful Colossians 1:24-27, Romans 6-8 Philippians 3. All are even more powerful than the New Covenant given to earthly Israel. No LAW OR STATUTE ever promised to be GLORIFIED TOGETHER WITH CHRIST. To be taken into GLORY, CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS.

The NC was revealed in the OT. THE MYSTERY WAS NOT. Please know the differences. The mystery does MORE than convict of sin. It actually puts TO DEATH the deeds of the flesh. Romans 8:11-13

Did the NC say you became a NEW CREATION?

David, John water baptism never promised the Holy Spirit. Only Jesus baptism does, read further in Acts 19.

David, salvation is about SIN. So you and your wife must have thought you were saved by another reason the first time around. I received the Holy Spirit when I got saved, RE FROM SIN AND DEATH, however I didn't surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit already in me until I realized and obeyed Romans 6-8.....the greatest chapters in all of scripture concerning how the Holy Spirit works in our lives.

Maybe the Spirit of the LIFE OF CHRIST IN US is different that just having the Holy Spirit..I don't know, but it's the SPIRIT OF THE LIFE OF CHRIST IN ME that is what I'm talking about...as was Paul too in Galatians 2:20-21.

John the Baptist required repentance first before he baptized with water, asking many to come back AFTER they repented. ---kathr4453

Kathrine
As you can see in (Acts 19:1-3) People who were baptized by John did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirt. A gift needed for the spiritual conviction of sin. I was baptized when I was 12, but I did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit until I was 28,...after my first confession of sin.

At the time I didnt know what had happened, but the guilt over sin, after that prayer, was undeniable. Before that time my sin was before men, after that Gift my sin was before God. My wife had the same experience, after the confession of sin, as many people do.
---David on 4/27/21

David is starting to get it. The second coming of Christ hasn't happened yet. His first coming, ISRAEL AS A WHOLE REJECTED Jesus even to this day. No NEW COVENANT has come over all of Israel ....yet. They are not indwelt with the Holy Spirit , as I showed David re Acts 19. Not all Israel believed in Jesus at Pentecost, and unbelieving Jews MURDERED believing Jews. There were no Gentile Christians spoken of at that time until Cornelius ....who we see received the Holy Spirit upon his believing the Gospel. Peter didn't preach the Kingdom restored to Israel to Cornelius....why would he? He preached CHRIST CRUCIFIED AND RISEN. That's the message that accompanies the Holy Spirit.

If one thinks Judah is all of Israel it seems to fit.... until one researches ... the rest of the story.
Israel was 12 names not 1. Kat thinks she is Jewish... maybe she is not able to understand parables and the North House of 10 divorced. Jer 3:8-18. Jer 31:31/Heb 8:8.

Jer 33:24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? .....br>Hos 2:19 I will betroth thee unto me for ever, yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

Trav
Kathrine brings up a good point about the second coming of Christ. Israel rejected Jesus when he walked among us, which means they are still waiting for their messiah.

In order for them to proclaim Jesus as their messiah, he must fulfill the prophecies. I would think These are prophecies they would need to witness. So how will Israel come to accept Jesus when these prophecies have already been fulfilled?

Interesting David, John the Baptist required repentance first before he baptized with water, asking many to come back AFTER they repented.

Jesus baptized with FIRE, just as Paul told those poor souls depending on John the Baptist's water baptism. They hadn't even heard of the Holy Spitit with their water baptism. But you seem to have found what you are looking for and stopped looking....which is why you don't know or understand what being BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH means. Romans 6.

Paul had to take them deeper into understanding about baptism READ ABOUT IT IN ACTS 19. That's the only one that comes with the Holy Spirit.
---kathr4453 on 4/26/21

Trav
When people believe they have found what they are looking for, they simply stop looking. If they are looking for salvation, the false doctrine gives them what their itching ears want to hear.

A vast majority of Christians have never been baptized, which means they have never received the gift of the Holy Spirit. No Holy Spirit...No Godly conscience. My wife was one of these folks who wasnt baptized, and who disagreed with me.

To cover all her bases, she asked me to baptized her. After I baptized her, I told her to go and confess her sin before God. The result? She left the baptist church a few weeks later.

A totally new way, never promised to earthly Israel.
---kath4453 on 4/25/21

What a gift, and statement. And 12 Apostles all of Israel revealed this to ya? Just amazing.
Israel has and unfolds your mystery doctrine....appears it will always be a mystery to you.
Mat 15:24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mar 4:11he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mar 4:12That seeing they may see, and not perceive, and hearing they may hear, and not understand, lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
---Trav on 4/26/21

If Paul is quoting your verses show the NT verses Trav. Paul also quotes back to Abraham, Re Sarah and Hagar you leave out.

Paul also revealed THE MYSTERY , that was kept secret in the OT , but is now revealed, and THAT IS what many like you and David find hard to understand. The verses you quote in the OT Are about Israel the Nation....but the MYSTERY , part of it, is that GENTILES are those not affiliated whatsoever with Israel And the two, becoming A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST. No doctrine in the OT ever fortold of Gentiles and Jews being IN CHRIST CALLED THE CHURCH. A heavenly company. Jews weren't allowed to socialize with Gentiles in the OT. You post about EARTHLY ISRAEL , and promises to a restored nation. NOTHING MORE.

David, what it hard for some then and now to understand is the Gospel according to THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY. This is what God revealed to Paul..
---kathr4453 on 4/25/21

No one can reach her David.... she craves being a teacher soooo bad and cannot put any two witnesses together to support her mystery doctrine.
Even though Paul, quotes the O.Testament 269 times. 269 times she has never bothered to research. She has her own agenda thinking she overrides GODs promises, covenants. A very dangerous thing even in self chosen ignorance.

Luk 16:31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
---Trav on 4/25/21

David, what it hard for some then and now to understand is the Gospel according to THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY. This is what God revealed to Paul. Quoting OT SCRIPTURE, knowing the Mystery was not revealed in the OT, is what Trav does not get, or understand himself. Anyone can plop down OT scriptures, and still have no clue its timing, reason or purpose. The prophecy concerning Jesus from the OT has come to pass...the promise of the Messiah, which Trav and unsaved Jews are still waiting for IN VAIN.

THE 2 Coming of Christ is the coming if Gods WRATH, yes even upon unbelieving Jews who TODAY have rejected the REAL JESUS and still waiting for his first appearance.

This is why the false teacher must use the hard to understand teachings of Paul. Teachings meant for the mature, not babies.

(2 Peter 3:15-16) Bear in mind that our Lords patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Romans 4:5
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

David , let's start here. What is that verse saying to you?

One reason I like the KJV is they seen to be truer to the original. I always keep a STRONGS next to me too to verify the correct words are used. Many different versions have caused much confusion.

I'm sure TRAV, if you were in the BOC you would have been given a GIFT, Ephesians 4, where ALL THE BOC is given one. But since you are still waiting for the Messiah and have rejected Jesus now, you are not qualified to teach, exort, prophesy or anything even if you are a man.

Absolutely Josef, the key words here are IN HIM. God sees us IN CHRIST.

I in them and thou in me that we may be one...John 17. Here is how one comes to be IN CHRIST...ROMANS 6-8. No other way. A totally new way, never promised to earthly Israel. This was the Mystery kept secret but now revealed...Colossians 1:24-27. And those today IN CHRIST God no longer sees after the flesh. We are a NEW CREATION IN CHRIST. A HEAVENLY COMPANY...where our citizenship is IN HEAVEN right now as we speak. We are not promised LAND , as Christ alone is our land. Do you know there are only a few verses in scripture using the words DECLARE RIGHTEOUS or RIGHTEOUSNESS. ALL ARE ABOUT JESUS......

And the only one who's righteousness is declared is Jesus Christ. No scripture in the KJV that I can find clearly states we are declared righteous. We are imputed the righteousness OF CHRIST...

AS Paul clearly states in Philippians 3....not having my own righteousness, but the righteousness of Christ. Romans 10:1-8 also show this is where Israel under the law failed.

Romans 2:13

This verse does not say doers of the law are declared righteous. It says shall be justified. And as I pointed out on another post ...justified can have different connotations depending on the context of the verse. Abraham was declared...imputed the Righteousness by FAITH, NOT LAW ROMANS 4. However Abrahams obedience OF FAITH offering Isaac ...James also says God Justified. No LAW says we are to sacrifice our children. Abraham obeyed Gods voice....and was obedience of faith Believing God would raise him from the dead. But Abrahams Justification of LIFE was years before that for different reasons.

Josef, this below David has argued against me for over 2 years.

Galatians 5:22-25...For the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, MEEKNESS, TEMPERENCE, AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW, and they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts . If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

To walk in LOVE is to fulfill the Law.

Romans 13:10
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

One must be CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT. Romans 6-8.Gal 5:22-25

Folks, you do not have to earn Gods Love. GOD IS LOVE. And God commended His love toward us while we were SINNERS, meaning, we were incapable in our sin nature to Love God. We love HIM, BECAUSE He first loved us. 1John 4:19 we don't have to do anything to gain His love. And you know your own children don't have to earn your love. That's sadistic.

Please know God Loves you and is calling out to you to place your trust in Jesus Christ who died for your sin.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend.

Kat 4/21/21 We can do all things through Christ. The ten commandments are easy to keep. Just keep them in mind to do them. Not by might, not by strength, but rather by His Spirit. Without Him, we could do nothing.

Deut 30:19-20 are given promises to the Nation of Israel if they obey they can remain IN THE LAND GOD GAVE THEM. Well guess what.... they didn't remain did they. Their disobedience caused them to lose the land. Nothing here about ETERNAL SALVATION. This was only earthly blessings.

No one could perfectly keep THE LAW God gave to Israel.

No one is justified by keeping the LAW given to Israel. God has declared ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.

Deut 30 says nothing about God making them righteous because they loved God. Also David how do you explain away this truth.

Romans 10:10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac,

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth..... 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

I'm not promoting Calvinism here, but it opposes your teaching.

Do your children or wife have to earn your love? So sad.
---kath4453 on 4/21/21

Abraham, Issac, and Jacob loved God. And it was their Love for God that made them righteous in the eyes of God. (Deuteronomy 30: 19-20)

No David, it was Abraham's obedience of faith that he was imputed Righteous. Just as Romans 4 for one place clearly state.

Not everyone has a godly sorrow for sin. We see this with our eyes daily. Many have seared their conscience. Even in Noah's time. All but 8 perished.

You are saved by your faith in Jesus Christ who died for your sin. Nothing YOU can do can earn Salvation or God's love.

God Loves those who's faith is in His Son Jesus Christ. God has already demonstrated His Love for man by sending His Son to die for our sin.
---kathr4453 on 4/21/21

Josef
You got it...through our sorrow we are brought into repentance. It is much like a relationship with our parents. As we grow in our relationship with them, we become more and more obedient.

At first, we do it because we fear punishment, but as our love for them grows, we do it because we know it pleases them. In the same manner, it is our love for God which brings about our sorrow over sin, and which will bring us into repentance.

The Law of Christ teaches us how to love God, and what causes God to loves us. Abraham, Issac, Jacob, loved God. And it was their Love for God that made them righteous in the eyes of God. (Deuteronomy 30: 19-20)
---David on 4/20/21

It's impossible in 125 words. Before you are saved..... Jesus said MY WORDS ARE SPIRIT AND TRUTH. Jesus said I AM THE WAY TRUTH AND LIFE. I see the Holy Spirit not speaking of Himself but speak of truth John 16:13. The Holy Spirit does not work independently from the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit can be resisted, as we saw in the book of Acts.

But AFTER you are saved, and are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, we find He has a different assignment....Hebrews 13:20-21 with Romans 8:11-13 is vitally important to understand and submit to as we mature IN CHRIST. Mortify means put to death. 2 Corinthians 4:10....

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is yielding to the Lord. Christians can quench the Holy Spirit by exalting self...

I would like to further share my understanding of this subject. I have been given to understand the Holy Spirit to be the Direct Divine Inspiration of the Father set apart and given for the enlightenment of man. The illumination of the mind of man that leads man to receive His 'Christ', given me to understand as the burden removing, yoke destroying Power of GOD. Which empowers a Godly sorrow within man leading Him to 'repentance'. Understood as an empowered turn from darkness to light, from the Kingdom of this world to the Kingdom of GOD. From the influence of Satan to the Power an Authority guidance of Yehoshua. I believe this Power is granted to the disciple who will ask Him without wavering or dissimulation. Based on Luke 11:13

The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

1 Timothy 4:9,10
---JS1234 on 4/18/21

My question is who or what is the Holy Spirit to you?

Josef
The Spirit of God. Which is freely given as a gift, a gift to the unsaved. And when we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he will lead us towards our salvation.

Through the Holy Spirit, we are guided into all truths. And because this gift is free, and through which we gain the knowledge of truth...This is why the unsaved can not claim ignorance, or blame man for the false doctrines they may have followed.
---David on 4/18/21

We have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ. If we walk in the Spirit we will not give way to the sin of the flesh. Our flesh will ALWAYS BE FULL OF SIN, and the flesh can never be tamed, or seen in God's eyes as righteous. So that is why Romans 6-8 tell us those who have been baptized into Christ have been baptized into His death crucifying our flesh AKA SIN MAN,. So we are to PUT ON THE NEW MAN CREATED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS... THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST IN US.

Of course we will stumble and when we do the Lord will correct us.. Hebrews 4. When we are CLEANSED we are CLEANSED from sin. The Blood of Jesus has PURGED OUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS OF SELFRIGHTEOUSNESS to serve God.

My question is who or what is the Holy Spirit to you? The question is posed to any one here who cares to answer.
---Josef on 4/18/21

Lennox
Many doctrines teach salvation first and redemption second, but that is not the message Jesus taught to his disciples.

Now I dont expect you to believe me, nor do I expect you to believe the Bible verses I gave you. But I do believe the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ will convince you. Notice in (1 John 1:5-10), the cleansing, a promise from God when we confess our sin.

When you confess sin, this cleansing is an undeniable event which takes place in the sinner. After this cleansing, you will now feel guilt over sin, a guilt you did not feel before this cleansing took place.

Now if nothing happens, this means you did not receive this gift. To receive the Holy Spirit, follow the directions given in (Acts 2:38).
---David on 4/18/21

Lennox, hope you're doing well. And I hope the Gospel you heard and responded to is that we are all sinners, incapable of saving ourselves. That when you heard the Gospel , the Holy Spirit did convict you of sin, but also told you Jesus took our sin ...it's in Colossians 2...

Now the Lord wants to bring you to maturity..Ephesians 4...to grow up into Christ , and not be tossed and turned bu every wind of doctrine that comes along. And believe me....there are a lot of false doctrines. So now we grow and mature in stages. Children know their sins are forgiven, young men have overcome the evil one...fathers are able to teach others. 1 John 2. It's quite a journey. And a journey that will absolutely overcome all false teachers/teachings.
---kathr4453 on 4/18/21

Lennox
You must first understand How the Holy Spirit guides you.

The Holy Spirit makes us aware of sin, by making us feel guilt before God...when we sin. But we must stay in the light to get the full effect of this spiritual guidance. How?
Through the practice of a daily confession of sin before God.

After a confession of sin, the Holy Spirit, through our Godly conscience, will try to stop us before we commit any new sin. This is the Holy Spirit teaching us, what displeases God. And when we do not commit these sins, we are now living in obedience to God. The result of this obedience? (John 14:21-23)

Awesome verses JS1234,. as so many today teach the opposite. The fellowship of His Sufferings is vital to our relationship and growth in the Lord. I believe it says in 2 Thessalonians 1:5 it's a manifest token of our salvation. Embrace it. It's times like those you REALLY KNOW THE POWER OF GOD.
---kathr4453 on 4/17/21

Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.

Romans 5:2-5
---JS1234 on 4/16/21

Lennox, The fact is YOU ALREADY HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT, now you need to understand how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. The WORD of God does not work independently from the Holy Spirit, but as ONE. So the more you are filled with THE WORD OF GOD, the more you will realize the HOLY SPRIT is actually there, teaching you, making you hungrier and hungrier for the Word of God. And read James 1 very carefully ....if you need wisdom in understanding ASK GOD IN FAITH.

But first BELIEVE what God has said, YOU ARE FILLED with the Holy Spirit. Also remember the Holy Spirit does not work through our emotions, but through the INNER MAN..Ephesians 3-14-21 will clarify all I've said. Just say LORD I WANT THAT.

I'm a born again Christian i was told that after salvation i should seek for the Holy Spirit to guide me so that i shouldn't go back to my old ways of sinning.
I was then also told that without being baptized by the Holy Spirit i wouldn't enter heaven. Thats why i would love to be filled by the Holy Spirit and preach repentance to various youths who are slaves of sin being influenced by demonic spirits.
