Little nitpicking there, Nicole? How bout I just call him Avery?? We could sit down and have a beer together..

You left out that He said Jefferson said he is a Christian.

Actually, I posted Jefferson's own words..

April 21, 1803 "I am a Christian, in the only sense in which he wished any one to be, sincerely attached to his doctrines, in preference to all others, ascribing to himself every human excellence, & believing he never claimed any other."

Again to quote CARDINAL Dulles: "He (Jefferson) was not an orthodox Christian because he rejected, among other things, the doctrines that Jesus was the promised Messiah and the incarnate Son of God."

Is DACA Legal

Avery Dulles, a leading Catholic theologian, wrote extensively about Jefferson's beliefs. Dulles concludes:

In summary, then, Jefferson was a deist because he believed in one God, in divine providence, in the divine moral law, and in rewards and punishments after death, but did not believe in supernatural revelation. He was a Christian deist because he saw Christianity as the highest expression of natural religion and Jesus as an incomparably great moral teacher. He was not an orthodox Christian because he rejected, among other things, the doctrines that Jesus was the promised Messiah and the incarnate Son of God."

June 25, 1819,"I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know."

1813 May 31. "the subject of religion, a subject on which I have ever been most scrupulously reserved. I have considered it as a matter between every man and his maker, in which no other, & far less the public, had a right to intermeddle."

I can't understand how any Christian could be a Democrat

--Jerry6593 on 8/28/17

An interesting statement in that almost 50% of SDA are Democrats. Only 35% are republican.. Maybe you should talk to your church elders..

You mean conservative democrats?

Pope Francis Prayers

I know he can't because Pope Francis NEVER forced Catholics to pray Muslim's prayers.
---Nicole_Lacey on 8/16/17.

Again I said to Steveng, that "Pope Francis NEVER AUTHORIZED ISLAMIC PRAYERS AND READINGS from the Quran at ANY TIME?"

---Nicole_Lacey on 8/16/17

You need to make up your mind. Steveng never said anything about the Pope FORCING someone to pray Muslims prayers. The Pope, however, DID authorize muslim prayer and reading from the Koran at the Vatican.

Pope Francis Prayers

Please DISPUTE
---Nicole_Lacey on 8/16/17

I did, you ignored the posting. Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis on March 13, 2013, correct?

Reported in "American Catholic'" Monday June 9, 2014

"For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians." This was confirmed in "Aleteia" Tuesday Aug 15, 2014. Both Catholic sites. The Pope certainly DID allow the reading of the Koran and Muslim prayer at the Vatican.

Go back and look at your 9/9 post and then tell me what I posted on 8/15 was wrong.

Pope Francis Prayers

CITE what you wrote!
---Nicole_Lacey on 9/9/16

From the USCCB website:

:Second Vatican Council, Nostra Aetate 3, October 28, 1965

The Church has also a high regard for the Muslims. They worship God, who is one, living and subsistent, merciful and almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth (Cf. St. Gregory VII, Letter III, 21 to Anazir [Al-Nasir], King of Mauretania PL, 148.451A.), who has spoken to men. They strive to submit themselves without reserve to the hidden decrees of God, just as Abraham submitted himself to Gods plan,..

Pope Francis Prayers

---Nicole_Lacey on 8/14/17

From the American Catholic, Monday June 9, 2014 edition and Fox News, June 8, 2014

"For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians."

From Aleteia, Tuesday Aug 15

Vatican hosted a joint prayer service for peace that consisted of delegations from Israel and Palestine. The Israeli delegation had both Jews and Muslims in it, the Palestinian delegation had both Christians and Muslims in it. Each tradition got to pray but each prayed in its own tradition. And it all went down not in St. Peters, but in the Vatican Garden.

BTW, Brietbart, Hannity I see occasionally, and they are honest sources, ...

---Haz27 on 7/2/17

What a joke.. Breitbart is full of half truths, innuendos and out right lies. Hannity is nothing but a spokesman for the right wingers. Fox even dropped it's "fair and balanced" . Fox is the right wing media arm of Trump and the right wingers. A fox affiliate even argued in court they have a right to lie to their viewers.. Honest?? Yeah and my grandma is a firetruck.

THEN are justified in LYING AND TWISTING someone's words
--kathr4453on 7/1/17 in another blog.

He loves to twist the fake news he gets from Brietbart, Fox and the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh.

I have no idea how a righist can come up with falsehoods, then turn around and support a misogynistic liar like Trump.

Haz when are YOU going to stop with YOUR falsehoods, deflecting and obfuscation? I was considering just letting this drop, but your support of false lies from the right wing media, you continually repeating of yourself and belittling the people her who don't kowtow to your right wing fantasies has changed my mind. I intend to challenge you on EVERY deceitful statement you make.

Are Current Events Bad

NURSE. Yet again you deflect. Christians should reject the Left with it's baby slaughter, deviancy indoctrination for children, divisive identity politics, etc, but all you ever do is deflect to justify your support for evil Left.

---Haz27 on 6/30/17

And once again, like an old man, you repeat yourself.

You love to blame the left for all the evils in the world... Oh wait, the right is bad, just not as bad as the left. When are you going to see the evil right for who they really are?

When are YOU going to answer questions put to you without deflecting?

--Haz27 on 6/30/17
Thank you once again for proving my point. Copying and pasting is so easy for you.

I will asked you the same question that Jerry hasn't (or won't answer).. Just how does this affect you?

Are Current Events Bad

NURSE. You claim my allegations about Left's baby slaughter, deviancy indoctrination of children, divisive identity politics, etc, are lies.
---Haz27 on 6/29/17

I said nothing of the kind. I said you use deflection when you cannot or will not answer direct questions. You are so blinded by hate you can't even understand a post. Furthermore, since you choose to read it differently, it is YOUR responsibility to back up your statements with fact. It's called onus probandi.

Greatest Threat To The World

--Jerry6593 on 6/30/17

As a matter of fact, it was. Haz does exactly the same thing, repeats the same tired mantra over and over again, hoping against all odds that someone will believe it.

//Isn't it interesting how our lefty friends can't see anything wrong with their sexual perversion doctrines//

You left out your righty friends and their perversions but you and Haz simply refuse to believe the righty as just as perverse as the left. The two of you would rather defect than answer simple straight forward questions.

Try this one... How does someone else's "perverse" behaviors affect you?

Are Current Events Bad

It's the old adage - If you say a lie often enough, people will believe it.
---NurseRobert on 6/28/17

Nurse. You constantly deflect to protect your Leftist puppet masters from criticism about their crimes.
---Haz27 on 6/28/17

Thank you, Haz, for once again proving my point..

Yep, an old man who repeats himself..

It's also apparent HAZ is brainwashed---kathr4453 on 6/29/17

Kathr... its all he has. When asked direct questions he doesn't want to answer, or they don't fit his agenda, he simply reverts to name calling..

Greatest Threat To The World

with it's LGBT agenda,
---Haz27 on 6/27/17

I have asked you this in the past and got no answer...
Just what IS the LGBT agenda?? Is it written down somewhere?? Can I get a copy of it??

Or is it just another statement with no basis in fact?

Are Current Events Bad

---Haz27 on 6/28/17
"Left's echo chamber"
"leftie" "Fake news.."

You continually repeat yourself. Funny thing, though, you NEVER refute what you are told, you only call it lies, etc.. You would probably be more credible if you tried. Then again, if your repeat your lies enough..... BTW, there are multiple sources where Donnie said he would not touch medicaid/medicare/ss..

Are you saying the Aboriginal Stolen generations NEVER happened??

---Nicole_Lacey on 6/28/17

How do you know I don't? Maybe you see racism where none was intended or expressed?

I have seen you agree with many falsehoods (in my opinion) but never see you denouce them. Does that make you false too?

Greatest Threat To The World

---StrongAxe on 6/28/17

No, actually he's not. He has issues with anyone who disagrees with him. HAZ hates to be wrong and when called on it, he has consistently deflected to he "leftie is bad" diatribe with NO attemp to prove the point wrong. That's a shame too. There are times when I find him articulate and informative.

As my daughter once said..."he's an old man who repeats himself."

It's the old adage - If you say a lie often enough, people will believe it. There are times when I find him humerous.
