Jesus Takes Our Sin

Kathryn
What I was trying to show you in (Romans 10:16), was that Paul said sin leads to death, and its obedience which leads us to righteousness. Obedience to God in the Protestant Church, due to their misunderstanding of Pauls teaching, has been given a BAD word, the word is W-O-R-K-S.

Sin is being used as a comparative in the verse with Righteousness. Sin is an ACT, an act which leads to death. Which means Obedience to God is also an ACT, an act which leads to Righteousness.

Now if this is true, how can someone say GOOD WORKS doesnt play a role in our salvation, when Paul clearly says its what leads us towards Righteousness? Paul made this same comparative in (Romans 2:6-8), which Protestant doctrines ignore.

And David, self sanctification is impossible, and a false doctrine again clearly explained in Hebrews 10.---kathr4453 on 10/16/17

(Romans 10:16) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Kathryn
What does Paul say in the above verse leads us to righteousness? And isnt this what Christ taught in (John 14:21)?

God does the sanctification, true, but without your obedience to Christ, its not going to happen.

Being reconciled to the FATHER is what salvation is about...not trying to,overcome sin.---kathr4453 on 10/13/17

Kathryn
I agree with you about salvation, but doesnt reconciliation to God the Father, come by way of fighting against sin? (John 14:21)

Its true that we, by ourselves, can not overcome sin, but through the power, which is in the blood of Jesus Christ, we can (John:1:12) KJV.
This is, the Taking Away,...the power, (Hebrews 10:4) refers to.

Churches dont teach it because it goes against what they believe. They don't believe it because they havent experienced the Taking Away of sin. I believe it because I have experienced it.

Jesus Takes Our Sin

The words Take Away, are not talking about the forgiveness or atonement for sin, for the animal sacrifice could also do this (Leviticus 4).

Many folks recieve forgiveness and atonement for sin, but few ever have their sin,Taken Away, as described in (Hebrews 10:4). If they did, if sin was removed, they would not sin.

Is that even possible? Many men say no, but (1John 3:9) says yes. For just like Noah was given the rainbow, and Gideon the fleece, this is the sign given to those who are born of God.

I dont wonder if I will be saved, I know, because I have been given this sign. I do not tell you this to brag, but to give hope to those who follow Gods Holy Spirit, instead of one of the doctrines of men.

Knee During National Anthem

I'm sorry people feel PR could not pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. Neither could New Orleans.....---kathr4453

I agree Kathryn.
But I think its because folks really dont understand the situation.
Its easy to compare them to folks in Florida and Houston, who have found the strength to pull themselves out of the Chaos.

But those folks have one distinct advantage Puerto Ricans do not. They cant send their families to live with other family members, while they rebuild their lives.

For example, In Puerto Rico they need truck drivers. But in order for that truck driver to help out, he must leave his family,... who also needs him for their survival.

Quite the dilemma.

Knee During National Anthem

But I mentioned one video where a white cop repeated "drop your weapon!". The victim repeated "I don't have a weapon!". The officer shot him 7 times.-StrongAxe

StrongAxe
Do you see the irony in your statement? Your trying to say the cop shot the victim because of he stereotypes black people, and then you stereotype White cops.

Knee During National Anthem

Fact is, everyone in America is stereotyped by their ancestry, but with one distinction, blacks and whites are the only race of people who are identified by skin color.

When we see someone we do not know, who is black, or someone who is white, we put them into the stereotype, a societal stereotype that has been programmed into us.

We do not call Orientals "yellow people", nor do we call Hispanics, "brown people". Why have whites and blacks been color coded? It's politically motivation, motivation used to create division, division which creates hate, hate which creates loyalists,...blind loyalists.

Allegiance to the flag creates unity, and though they don't know it, that's what they are opposed to it.

Vain Thinking Of Men

...who in America teaching their children NOT to question religion, science or medicine?---Nicole_Lacey on 9/27/17

Nicole
I didn't mean it's taught as curriculum. It's something we come to do naturally, when we see someone as a teacher. When we are children our parents are our teachers, and as they are our parents, we don't question what they teach us. And then when we go to school, we don't question the teachings, of those we call teacher.

Many folks, like when they were children, follow suit when they attend church. They look at their church teachers in the same way they looked at their school teachers, and like children, don't question the teachings. This is why Jesus told us what he did in (Matthew 23:8).

Vain Thinking Of Men

Rob
It's just one of mans foibles, one we must all guard ourselves against. We are taught from an early age, taught not to question those who are educated in areas we are not. Whether it's religion, science or medicine.

When we trust in the word of man, you will not recognize the wisdom of God. Religion, science and medicine are helpful to man, but when the wisdom of God Is replaced with the "wisdom of man", our minds become poisoned against God.

Who Is The AntiChrist

Suffered a deadly wound that was healed...---Jerry6593 on 9/20/17

Jerry
One of the presiding factors of determining the Christ, is death and resurrection. I believe, in order to convince the Jews, this will be a 3 day period, making folks believe he has been killed and has come back to life.

In your church, do you keep the entire Sabbath Law as established by God, or just parts of it? If only part, which parts?

I agree with many of the SDA teachings, but as to your keeping of the Sabbath Law, it's a bit confusing.

It's a movie, therefore it will not be 100% correct.

End Of World September 2017

As Cluny pointed out, only those who believe in the pre-trib rapture worry about these prognosticators. And as StrongAxe pointed out, there are a lot of events which must take place before Christs return.

Funny thing...all the folks I know, who believe in a Pre-trib rapture, seem to fear rather than rejoice about that day.

Who Is The AntiChrist

You don't have to know him, simply recognize him for who he is. If you witness a being that appears supernatural by the miracles he performs and he is claiming to be the promised messiah---Josef on 9/18/17

Joseph
To add.
He will be the one the Jews choose to be their Christ. (Matthew 24:15)
Remember, since they rejected Christ, they are still waiting to name someone as Christ!

Jesus was not Kingly enough for them, so for the reason they rejected Jesus, they will accept the Anti-Christ. He will be a King, a President, a monarch or someone of stature, the Jews will be proud to proclaim to be their Christ.

Who Is The AntiChrist

Here's what I know.
The Anti-Christ will be the one who rules over the entire world, as noted in his 666 designation. How do we know this?

6 is the number of man
66 is a ruler of men (President, King, etc)
666 is the number of someone who rules over rulers, a king of kings.

To be a 666, you must first be a 66. So one can draw their own conclusion from that.

Is Disaster Looting Sinful

Should Christians ever "loot"?

Who Is The AntiChrist

Only time will tell with this topic. However, I believe God will make it obvious to Christians.

Tithe To Abused Animals

The Tithe was a Law established under the old covenant. A Law God made with the twelve tribes of Israel. It was created as an inheritance for the Levite tribe, who worked day and night as Priests in Gods temple.
You can find proof of this, in (Numbers 18:24-26).

Now since this was the purpose of the Tithe, and we are now under the New covenant, are we still required to pay a Tithe to the Levite Priests?

Now as to giving under the New Covenant, are we to give 10% to "The Church"? No!!
Are we to give to those in need? Yes!!

Now if you need further proof, give it directly to someone in need, someone God has put on your conscience, and then get ready for Gods reward. It just might be an answer to your prayer.

Is Disaster Looting Sinful

Nicole
I don't see any difference between burglary and looting, unless it's food or water taken as an act of survival, with the intent of paying for the items when order is restored.

Commandments From Jesus

We, as Christians, are not bound by the Laws of Moses....
because we are under the new covenant, which has a different set of laws, and not the old one, with those 619 laws.---StrongAxe

StrongAxe
Exactly!!!
Just because we are not under the Law of Moses, doesn't mean we are not under the Law, as most folks have been led to believe.

When Paul said, "we are not under the Law", he was referring to the Law of Moses, the Jews were once under, not the covenant of Grace, Christ gave us in his Gospel.

Paul called the covenant of Moses, "Works" and the covenant of Christ, "Grace". The true meaning behind, "Not by works, but by Grace". (John 1:17)
