Dormition Of Mary
Didn't Jesus explicitly say to Mary "...I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God."? So is Jesus the Father? Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ascend to himself?

Can Satan Be Forgiven
Many of you folks think that the "blood" (Christ's death) is the ONLY way to eternal life.

But what about the people who never knew God, or Jesus, or sinning, or repenting, but still did the will of God, not knowing it's the will of God? Isn't it written that there are to be two resurrections? (the first of those who believe in Christ and the second all the others according to their works - some to everlasting life, some to everlasting death.

Two Prophets Of Revelation
Kathr, you assume way too much in many of your posts using worldly interpretations of spiritual matters.

Two Prophets Of Revelation
The phrase "all the days of..." is mentioned several times in the bible which indicated the life span of people.

"all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years" (Genesis 5:23)

So, Kathr, you think James 5:17, Hebrews 9:27, Corinthians 15:22 are not true? Could these verses be contradictions? Could the bible be misinterpreted? Could there be a misunderstanding from a personal perspective?

There are hundreds of English bible interpretations in the world. Which one is the truth? Most people, even most christians, get their interpretations from the bible only - interpreted by their denominational leaders. It's very important for a christian to speak with the Holy Spirit for the truth.

Two Prophets Of Revelation
Enoch died, "all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years" (Genesis 5:23)

Elijah died. The Bible does not say how much longer Elijah lived. But Elijah lived as a man (James 5:17), it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27), and all men after Adam must die (Corinthians 15:22). There are three heavens mentioned in t he bible (where God resides, where the planets and stars are, and where the atmosphere that surrounds the Earth). Elijah was caught up in a whirlwind in the atmosphere and translated to another location on Earth. Four years after he was taken up a letter was written by Elijah. II Chronicles 21:12-15.

Just FYI.

Do We Have Free Will
There will be a great falling away from the faith in the end days. One must have faith to begin with in order to fall away. It is their choice to fall away.

Millions of people throughout all of history never knew God or Jesus, but yet do the will of God not knowing it's the will of God and, in turn, will have eternal life.

Tell Them To Leave
Which political party was pro slavery? Which political party created the KKK? Which political party started the Civil War? Which political party was against the Civil Rights Act?

Loved Ones Are In Hell
What loving God would punish his creation for all of eternity? Which eternity?

As of this day, everyone who has died is asleep until both resurrections are fulfilled. At the first resurrection, upon the return of Jesus, the dead in Christ shall rise and... At the second resurrection, at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ, all the other dead shall rise and be judged from the book of life according to their works - some to everlasting life, some to everlasting death.

Blessed are those that rise in the first resurrection.

Predestined For Hell
There are two resurrections: the first at the soon to return of Jesus where the dead in Christ shall rise first and the living shall be caught up with the dead. The second resurrection is at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ where all the other dead from all of history shall rise and be judged from the Book of Life according to their works some to everlasting life, some to everlasting death. Blessed are the ones who rise in the first resurrection.

There are people who do God's will not knowing it's God's will.

Jesus Action Rewards
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you, even as the green herb have I given you all things. Genesis 9:3

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, AND COMMANDING TO ABSTAIN FROM MEATS, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 1 Timothy 4:1-5

Predestined For Hell
The term "robot" was a metaphor.

God is looking for people having true love from their hearts to populate his coming kingdom. He is looking for people who wants to follow him. To repent on their decision.

JS1234 wrote: "If God is God, he is smart enough to get everybody saved if he wants to..."

All throughout history, God has given man many opportunities to bring man to him, but man has rejected God.

Predestined For Hell
JS1234 wrote: "God always get what he wants?"

Sure, if God created robots. Humans are not robots. As I said God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. 2 Peter 3:9

God is choosing people who do God's will, whether they believe in Jesus or not, to help populated God's new kingdom. They must choose from the heart whether to repent or not. It's up to the individual's choosing. God gave mankind many opportunities in history to repent. God has suffered long enough and by the way the world is heading it won't be too much longer when God will intervene by bringing his son back.

Predestined For Hell
No one is pre-destined to go to hell. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. Man has free will and decides himself if he goes to heaven or hell. Many, including those who don't know Christ or God, will have eternal life who will be judged from the book of life - according to their works.

The bible tells of two resurrections: one for the christians and one for all others.

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
Cluny, instead of telling someone they are wrong, why don't you explain WHY?

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
Tell me, cluny, how did you know that you were a sinner?

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
Before one is baptized, one must repent of their sins. Before one can repent of their sins, one must have knowledge that they are sinners. And that comes from the hearing of God's word. Babies and infants have no knowledge or understanding of God, Jesus, salvation, repenting, the gospel, sinning, etc. How can an infant repent if he does not have knowledge or understanding?

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
The OT was more of a physical nature. The NT is more spiritual nature. Same laws, different use.

Case in point: In the OT, it was a sin to physically murder someone, but in the NT even if you THINK of murdering someone it's a sin.

As for faith and works: faith without works is dead faith.

All laws are still given for it is written "...not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished." Remember that the NT was not written when Jesus and the apostles were here. All scripture is God breathed.
Love is found even in those who don't believe in Christ.

Once saved always saved is a false doctrine for it is written that in the end days many shall fall away from t he faith.

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
kathr wrote: "...Gospel of the Grace of God..."

There is only one meaning of "gospel" and that means the good new about the soon to come Kingdom of God. Nothing more. Nothing less. The gospel IS the Kingdom of God.

Grace/mercy is what God showed upon his creation. God showed his mercy throughout the entire bible. The same grace/mercy that a parent sometimes shows upon the child.

Explain Matthew 6:1-2
There are two resurrections.

The first is upon the return of Jesus when the dead in Christ shall rise and the living in Christ shall be caught up with the dead.

The second resurrection is at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ when all the other dead shall rise and be judged from the book of life ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.
